Mentor needs to reset that 3 point record again I think to have a shot at this one.

That sequence of the Dunk going down and getting knocked back out by the Dorman player was crazy. Don't think I've ever seen anything like that. Glad that didn't turn out to be the deciding two points in the end.

It'll be an all Mountain Empire showdown in the 5th place bracket as Harlan County will play George Wythe tomorrow morning.

G-Dub's performance in this tournament thus far, they're the runaway favorite to win 1A in Virginia. They won't face competition like this beyond February. 

Can G-Dub keep up this pace with Mentor? They do it pretty well themselves but have never faced it from anyone in the Commonwealth like they are here.

The 13th is played at the Corbin arena in Corbin Kentucky.  They are indeed fun to watch.  In Kentucky you must win your region to qualify for state unlike in Tennessee region runners up move on. Also, Kentucky does not class their basketball.  Region championships are truly earned.  Mountain basketball in Kentucky (regions 12-13-14-15-16) produce electric atmospheres at region tournaments.  Those people are basketball fanatics! 

How much does Corbin arena hold? 

14th region is at Perry County Central and it holds around 5000 I believe. 15th region is at Appalachian Wireless Arena and it holds more than that. Both of those places were packed to the gills.

Harlan County will be the favored to win their region and make a state tournament appearance at Rupp.  Trent Noah is engine that makes them go.  He draws a lot of fouls and cashes in at the charity stripe. He will show well at the Arby’s. 

I think I will probably go to the 13th Region tournament this year. 

I went to 15th two years ago and 14th last year. 

Region tournaments in Kentucky are mega fun to go watch in person.

Folks the lesson learned is never EVER EVER EVER leave a game early.

Arby's Classic game 11 final.

Imhotep 58, Maryville 52

Red Rebels led 46-19 when I left mid third quarter.

Panthers outscored Murvil 39-6 the remainder of the game to pull off one of the most improbable victories in Arby's History.

To put this in perspective, the Red Rebels were 3 points away from the running clock being implemented for the reminder of the game. Just absolutely unbelievable.

Maryville will play Dobyns-Bennett in the final game of tomorrow's early session in what could be a preview of a TSSAA 4A sweet 16 matchup later down the road. 

Imhotep will play Mater Lakes in tomorrow nights quarterfinal four.
