Well this has been done in front of coaches and they did this without telling coaches. Why would they do it without telling them?? I knew the bracket before our coaches. That is not right, IMO. Nobody knew it. If nothing to hide no reason not to be transparent about it. I am not mad at GC’s bracket. You have to play the game. But I can see where people think it is odd because they did something out of the norm.

Yes exactly. Its not about who is in the bracket or trying to get the easy route to finals. Its the secrecy of it all. Coaches not invited even virtually? All hush hush coaches didn't even know? That's ridiculous. We are use to lopsided brackets. Its the way it was done. If nothing to hide then why hide

  2. Why not do it virtually so the coaches could watch? And to do the brackets so the teams that are in the same region are seperated not even knowing if that's necessary yet because sub-state games haven't been played? I'm not the least bit surprised though that summertown, clarkrange, and Gibson ended up on the same side of the so called draw though

  3. The twins are quick and never seem to get tired. They understand it takes a team to win and depend on Howard, Pierce, and Bush to help get them where they want to go. Several very good teams this year that can take home that gold ball. Bad mistake would be to underestimate anyone at this point. Good luck to all. Praying the players stay healthy and safe

Yep Clarkrange played them three times. Clarkrange has played some tough teams in AAA. Their losses all probably helped them as a team.

I agree pioneer. Sometimes losses help more than wins IMO. Its not always about the record. Its about playing really good teams to make yourself better win or lose. You have to play teams that give you competition. Beating teams by 30+ doesn't help anyone. Stone is a great team and coached by one of the best. I think it helps both teams to play these games and the win can go either way. Got to get ready for tournament by playing some of the best not padding a record to look good.

Clarkrange is as good as their posts staying out of foul trouble.  Monday twins are as advertised (if not better).  If the posts stay out of foul trouble they can beat anybody  (including stone, a triple a team expected to make state) by 20+. Rogers is a legend and has the talent (if you don’t make him have to dig too deep in his bench). Btw Stone beat them by double digits when the buffaloes got in foul trouble (so you never know).

This season Stone beat Clarkrange by 1 with a missed shot by Clarkrange with only seconds to go and a chance to win. Stone beat Clarkrange by 4 in the other loss to Stone. Only double digits loss between the two was when Clarkrange beat Stone by double digits

  6. I want to start by saying how thankful I am we can have these discussions on here this season. After last year's fiasco I wasn't sure we would get to have a tournament this year. With that being said I agree the draw will as always be very important. I think Clarkrange and Gibson County end up in the finals. I say this not having saw Summertown play. No disrespect to any of the teams. I think several are capable of taking home the gold ball. Just having fun throwing my two cents in. Good luck to everyone and most importantly praying the athletes stay healthy and get to finish their season

  7. Good win for Clarkrange last night at Stone. Games like that get you ready for the tournaments. Sounds like several teams across the state are capable of taking home the gold ball this year. As always praying all the players stay healthy and good luck to everyone as the regular seasons come to an end soon and the district tourneys start. Looking forward to watching some great games.

And no way do I vote for a human being that says a man can put on a wig and go use the girls bathroom and play girls basketball or any woman sport if they identify as a woman. Let’s here him defend this sick executive order.

    Amen brother. I agree 100%

  9. I'm gonna go a little different route than some on here and not just brag brag brag on my team and certain players. I'm gonna just tell it like I see it. Clarkrange is good and capable of winning the whole thing. The twins are special but they need their teammates to get it done. They can't beat anybody by themselves. We can and have had bad games. No perfection here. No perfect players. Can't beat every team in the state. Who we have beat, winning record, how well we played Thursday don't mean anything to me. Each game is a new game. Greenfield may beat us by 50. Loretto or Gibson may then beat them by 50. I will congratulate the winner and be proud to have been in the bottom four with all you guys. I just hope one of us gets to hold up that gold ball! I hope we don't have to tell our grandkids how a virus took our memories away

Appreciate it. Clarkrange was very tough as well. Two twins keep coming at you and can shoot lights out!! I doubt they play it honestly!!

I think the Monday twins run off of a motor! They never seem to get tired. Great girls and they come from a wonderful family. Assistant Coach Shayne Monday is their dad and he's a local pastor here in the big city of Clarkrange. We have worked hard to get to the tournament. Had our ups and downs. Wasn't always pretty or perfect but we made it and deserve to see what the girls can do. All the teams deserve that opportunity. I feel especially bad for the seniors that didn't realize they may have played their last high school game Thursday. We can go back and forth all day who is the best etc but what is important at this point are these kids and the fact they may have lost the chance to finish out their careers the right way

  11. It is sad. I hate it for all the kids and us adults too. Met some very nice people from Gibson County at the game Thursday. Great game against Pickett County. They are tough. Congratulations to you all! I hope we get to finish the tournament but I will be surprised if we do

Macon County would beat Westview handily after watching them at state. The only team that could give Macon a good game would be Greenfield.

Clarkrange gave Macon a good game twice this season. Lost once by 8 and the other by 7, so I don't think Greenfield is "the only team". Macon County is the best I've seen this season and yes I saw Greenfield play. Gibson County and Loretto are capable of giving them a good game as well. Greenfield is a good team but I'd bet the family farm on Macon and that would be against all four teams left in A and the other three left in AA. The 2008-2009 Lady Buffaloes were state champs and 39-0 and a special group of girls but I wouldn't have said they could beat everybody in the state in all classes. I am proud of the Clarkrange girls and sure I would like to see them win the tournament but most importantly I would like to see all the players get to finish the tournament regardless of the winner

Greenfield beat them last year by 30 and Clarkrange lost some players from that team last year and Greenfield didn’t lose an starters and their playing at an unbelievable level. I’ll take Greenfield by 20.

According to Coach T 2018-2019 schedule from last year the score was 45-64. Where I come from that's not 30 points.

I’m just saying none of these 8 teams are going to be a push over. Huntingdon has lost 5 games. 3 of those games were at the hands of TCA who just won the state in D-ll, undefeated Greenfield and Loretto.

I agree with you. I think there may be "favorites" in each class to win and everybody is entitled to their opinion but this time of year is a perfect time for upsets. We have all saw it happen before. IMO the winners Thursday will be Greenfield, Loretto, Clarkrange, and Gibson County but honestly it is hard to pick because we don't get to see the others play. I see more of course of Clarkrange, Pickett, and Oneida. Very little of the others. I do know records can be deceiving so I don't put alot of faith in that. Eight good teams made it and one will win. Play same games in a couple weeks and we might have a different winner. All it takes is a bad shooting night or foul trouble and the "favorite" can go down quick. Either way, good luck to everyone.

Then stay home, it's that simple.

Exactly! Last I checked we are not made to go to games. Super proud of the Clarkrange girls and Coach Lamar Rogers. They play in what the county provides. Our feelings won't be hurt if you don't bless us with your presence that is if we get to play at home.
