    ... the region tournament.

Have you seen them play? Or just mad about the post. GC from what I've read, like you have just read about TP, can only defend, but has trouble scoring. That just what everyone from over there says. Now I've scouted your  girls about as much as you have Tellico. As I stated in post weak district, already said that. GC beat a short handed Greenfield, but can you get out of region now that they are healthy? You just made the point I made in the original post. No need be a jerk!

I really think one of GC, Greenfield or  Clarkrange will win the Gold Ball in no particular order. But who is to say a Summertown, Loretta, Clay County or TCA can't get hot and win it.  Right now it is a coin flip, IMO. I don't think the early losses actually hurts teams but helps them if they can get better and Greenfield is obviously getting better and will be a force to be reckoned with no doubt.

Huh, so what you're saying nobody east of the plateau has not even a remote chance right? There's a reason the sports writers have TP ranked 6 and the west tn polls have them 12, because they have seen them play! I grant that their district is weak, beat the second place team by 41 last night. Others simply couldn't or wouldn't schedule coach tried so he played in every 3A play days he could summer and preseason, check that record! Being 6 hrs away hard to scout this team. 6' point(signed), 6'1" post, senior wing (signed), two 5'11"freshman can start for most west tn teams! Very athletic group. I'm almost regretting this post because I wanna see west tn faces when they tip off against these ladies. Last year second leading scorer and ball handler broke arm during district and had no bench. This year 9 deep. West Tennessee keep overlooking, we love it!

If not mistaken, I think Tellico Plains had a really impressive record last year and got dumped in their region finals and sub-state. 29-2 with a 50 point win in their district finals.

Your correct about record, but not being dumped. Nobody is doing their homework from over there and we love it. Leading scorer and guard cut her cast off her shooting hand for sub state game and lost by 2. People need to keep doubting cause until you've seen their size and ability no respect. But I promise they are not afraid of anyone right now. Whoever draws Tellico, will get a sick feeling in their stomach.

Tellico has two really good senior guards, that’s about all I know, the point guard is really good probably around 5.11 she can score. They should make it to state pretty easy because the district and region they are in is very week this year. But I don’t know how they stack up to the teams you mentioned.

Ask the ranked 3 A teams Tellico Plains beat this summer, they stack up. Yes district is weak, region not so much. The 4th place team Midway, just gave Clarkrange big scare, Midway missed double digit free throws. They are deep past the two seniors. Couple of 5'11" freshman who can play now for anyone. North Green will also have something to say at the Boro! Obviously not being from the West these teams have no validity on here, but everyone that does their homework knows.

  5. Ok we've read all about west Tn. teams, but not much about anyone  else. I think there are some equally as good teams over in the east. (ie. North Green, Tellico Plains) as well as Clarkrange. I'm sure this comment will offend. But these teams have beat ranked 3A teams all summer and fall in play days. Just because they don't have the debth in their districts as the western schools is a disservice to so "called rankings".

  6. Obviously several posting on this subject are miss informed or at best, not looking at this matter the same as what everyone in Monroe county know as fact. The person in original post only wanted to recognize the Great start the season for the lady Bears, I understand. But like so many with Central bias you couldn't help yourself you have to try and pick at something didn't you. Like Paul Harvey here is the rest of the story for, "Fever". Now Meigs first of all has a good team and has not been apart of such treachery to my knowledge, but are logistically about an hour apart, as for the other, well. We are not talking AAU coaches which are the right arm for, wait for it, "recruiting" done by the (coach M, so as not to Officially name). When your last state appearance was made happen solely by players not zoned for your county come on "fever". Face the facts, there are a lot of people who saw Coach M sitting with Parents of Player from Rural Vale, With said mother getting nice employment in McMinn county starting her freshman year. Now I'm sure folks from your area don't call that recruiting, but everyone in the state DOES!
