Would had to have won a hardship case with T$$AA or a legal "separation" of parents. Do not know how else he would be eligible. Moving would not matter unless schools were more than 20 miles apart when you go between private and public
How do you win a hardship?

Bearden coming on strong. William Blount coming on strong! Very surprised by the Maryville and William Blount game. Maryville and West could have easily been the championship game.

Jeremy is officially on the hot seat after that one. I imagine he’ll be sitting down with the AD in the morning.
Bearden beat Farragut for the 3rd time last night. They play West tomorrow. with a win or a loss, I believe they advance to region play. Coach Jeremy Parrott had them ready last night. Coach Chait, how come you only post on here when Bearden loses?

Nice take Coach Chait. I think the AD has more sense than that.

What happened vs the West Rebels tonight? I wasn’t able to catch it because I’m too caught up in the Vols game.
It looks like the Rebels made a comeback to beat the Bulldogs by 1 point. The Maryville Rebels beat Hardin Valley and William Blount beat Farragut.

What are the matchups tonight for region 2?

Both. Young and also rebuilding. I don't know if you could say there's a drought of talent because of one down year. The JV team is good, and the freshman team is awesome. So, plenty of talent on the way.
every program going through seasons like this at some point. DB will bounce back strong. I have heard great things about Poore.

Is DB young? Is this a rebuilding year, or a drought of talent in the area?

A lot of shade on here for the only coach in Bearden history that won a state championship. Also had a game plan that the number two player in the 2020 NBA draft with arguably the biggest cheating coach in Memphis high school basketball history.
Yea, there must be something personal behind it. When Journal Entry worked at Bearden, Parrott's success must have rubbed him the wrong way. Considering the football team's lack of success during those years. Taking the hate to an anonymous message board shows great individual character.

You won’t hear excuses from me. Bearden out scored and out rebounded us. Nothing else to say.
Maryville then turned around and beat a good Farragut team the next night. Big win for the Rebels.

What happened in the Maryville and Bearden game? I know Knox Co schools had to take 2 weeks off (except for Farragut), but Maryville was practicing all last week
pretty impressive to beat the Rebels after Knox County kept them from practicing for two weeks. Maybe this will get them going.

Maryville is preety darn good. Many sophomores on that team too. One is hurt also. They will good for years to come. What are the matchups for that district on Friday?

Greeneville had a nice win over Bearden last night.
Low scoring. I think Bearden is down some players.

I'd say they will be sectional bound. Too talented and well coached.

Definitely Fulton. Maybe Maryville or Knoxville West. Morristown East has played well.

Look, I’ve been staying pretty quiet because I really don’t wanna get into this, but you’re just mind blowing like I’m not denying you’re a Bearden fan, but the fact that you can’t get through your mind that Pruitt is a good coach or a great coach which is what he is, Mark was awesome what he did at Bearden will go down in history, but Pruitt took what Mark was doing and has ran with it and you talking about this team and how you think they should approve which I agree and I’m sure the coaching staff as well see’s, but you said you’ve been following Bearden basketball for two decades well if you’ve been following for two decades, you should realize that this is the one of the youngest teams that Bearden has ever had since the I don’t even know when only two seniors that really get any playing time. The rest are sophomores and juniors. Arguably the two best players on the team, Brody and Nordin, are both sophomores, following right behind King and Blair, who are juniors. They’ve always been good for Bearden as freshman sophomores and currently as juniors, so imagine what their senior years are going to be, and even still, it’s not really a “down year.” We’re actually having a great year, considering we’re pretty young with only two seniors getting playing time.
I've gotten intel that journal entry is an account run by a former member of the past bearden football staff. Apparently some are NOT fond of the basketball programs and new football program at Bearden. Ultimate troll.

Coach Parrott is an excellent coach. He’s done great at Bearden. He does things the right way, and runs an excellent program.
From what I’ve seen on this thread, it seems JE must have something personal against Coach Jeremy Parrott. Maybe a reaction to personal shortcomings or something deeper. My guess is a parent who’s child didn’t play, someone who has never coached, or someone who has failed as a coach.
I completely agree with your statement. Bearden has only been successful since Parrott took over.

Not so fast, Sting Sting. Let’s not forget to count the sub .500 record that Jeremy racked up at Hawkins Co High. I understand it was basically like middle school ball but we’ll count it.
Not sure what kind of talent Hawkins Co has or what his teams were like there. poor coaching is when you don’t win with talent. Every coach relies on talent.
anyway, will be interesting to see who comes out on top of district. Based off scores, everyone seems competitive.

Just seem like they have really fallen off since Blevins has left.
Interesting statement. If you look at numbers and trophies, it seems Parrott has done better than Blevins.

DB must have played their tales off last night against Greeneville.
Big win for them. They proved me wrong. They may be the real deal.

Right now these look like the favorites:
Region 1:
Morristown East
DB
Region 2:
Farragut
Oak Ridge
You cannot convince me that Bearden will not come out representing Region 2 as a sectional team. Unexpected loss to Farragut but we will see where each team stands in February. Bearden has been there and done that and I do not see that changing. They lose their top contributors every year but never seem to fall off. Oak Ridge will take advantage of their horrible district again. As for Region 1, I think you're right about East. Their studs should get them there. Not sold on DB quite yet.

Going to be a very good game. So will Maryville and William Blount. Knoxville seems to be loaded this year. A lot of good players.
