So which 8 teams will be competing in AA for state duals?

R1 and R2:  Dobyns-Bennett and Maryville

R3 and R4:  ?

R5 and R6:  ?

R7 and R8:  ?

So which 8 teams will be competing in AA for state duals?

Congratulations to Maryville for being the first to win this type of match for Region 2!

Between 2005-2010 a few years also if I remember correctly they had sub/state matches in the 90s

I think there are several other years previously which had wrestle in matches for duals

It is my understanding that Region 2 has never beaten region 1 in large school sub-state are there any other regions who have never lost in a wrestle-in match?

Which schools are participating in sectionals for large schools?

Funny how one team can forfeit out matches after realizing they can’t win a dual, but another team does so for the well being of their kids health and it’s an issue. It doesn’t matter if there were 5 or 50 kids on the team. All were exposed to flu! Why on God’s green earth would you want to expose more kids at this time of year? I would say that D-B did not move the match because a few years ago at Science Hills request a rule was added concerning district/regional duals that said:  All scheduled district/regional duals must be wrestled on the date they are scheduled unless inclement weather causes the school's principal to cancel the match.  You are correct that even though the rule which Science Hill requested is now in place - it doesn't seem to accomodate them this time though and the sky is now falling.  Knowing the rule was in place they still requested the dual to be moved.  Sounds like sour grapes to me.
