QUOTE(Bigboy99 @ Mar 31 2007 - 06:24 PM) 826427269Alcoa played really good for a change. they only lost 9-7. they had 14 hits and 3 of them were off byrge in the last two innings. One of them was a triple. but the starting pitcher could not keep the ball down and put them in to a 5-1 hole up to the second inning after that only two of there runs were earned.
A loss is a loss

Dang that really stinks...hope he heals soon and gets back out on the field.

Well doesnt look like Alcoa is too hot like noquarter said they were gonna be..

I was at this game, and Seymour played very well and Anderson County just couldnt seem to get anything going until the last inning...which has won the game against Seymour the last 2 times they have played...but it was a good game...a couple HR's by Church and Sise and a good performance on the mound by Church, and Koeneman closing up..

bump

Kyle Koeneman from Seymour...you can expect to see him on TV one of these days..

QUOTE(dirtyd2 @ Mar 2 2007 - 08:43 PM) 826397550Seymour scrimmaged Knox Central tonight in 9 innings. The final was 15-0 in the favor of Seymour. Seymour really hit it well for this early in the season but still a lot of room for improvement. Koeneman, Lynam, and Church all combined for a 9 inning shutout and a 1 hitter. Seymour travels to Loudon monday and then William Blount Wednesday.
I like what I hear...keep it up boys..

QUOTE(Atrocity @ Mar 2 2007 - 02:26 PM) 826397061No just hot and heavy with basketball. On paper I think this is Seymour's year. But, you know as well as I that anything can happen in baseball. I think SHS has a lot of fantastic position players and I hope they are unified together from start to finish. I have high hopes for them. As far as the other district teams, I am not sure yet. I am going to watch some scrimmages and maybe have a better idea. Take care.
ATRO
Yea i hope so too..we'll just have to wait til May to see what happens i guess..

Well ya know...the grades in highschool weren't the best so can't really help that college coaches wanted me up until the point where they saw my grades...and ended up going to a hard academic school that aint worth a poop on the field

Who is it this year? Seymour, Pigeon Forge, Sevier County, or Gatlinburg Pittman

Are you in college?? Obviously not...college is a lil harder than highschool last time I checked...and this has nothing to do with ur questions...Can you say you've made it this far?? Where are you going to college?

Well Mr. Eaglegfan...I'm at Roane State supposed to be playing but my grades are bad so I am having to sit out this year...
QUOTE(dirtyd2 @ Mar 1 2007 - 07:29 PM) 826395683Well were hoping good things are gonna happen. The starting nine will be solid with a solid starting pitching staff and some guys coming out of the bullpen that will get the job done. Theres 3 seniors that all started on the 2004 state tourney team. Kyle Koeneman(2-time all state) is back and is looking to have another good season. Chase Fellin started shortstop as a freshman in state. Cody Church pitched and played outfield on the 04 team as well. All of the top 3 pitchers will have plenty of innings between them so if they can stay healthy should see good things. Hitting wise Seymour should be able to put some runs on the board but thats easier said than done. Hopefully will be peaking at the right time and everyone will be playing to their potential when tourney time rolls around. Baseball is a crazy game though so we'll see what happens.
Sounds great dirtyd2...hope all goes well for you this year and get 'em come May..

Did Cookeville lose any good pitching last year?
