Not a bad team, they mostly throw the ball and have some good looking kids.
highlanders have a really good team and well coached. they won't have any trouble against west greene
and im surprized hampton struggled. never known a lunceford to hold back not even in a jamboree. hard to lose so many great players and bounce back to that level.. may take a few weeks. same goes for south greene but cloudland seems like they are ready for the season but i know they have a big bullseye on their back.
-
johnson county is playing 1 against north greene
-
no landers commenting on last night scrimmage with jc . plenty of hitting going on
-
cloudland is very good
-
hv coach smart to move game. it takes a while to get your strength back from covid. jo. county tried to play last year on 3 days of practice and there was no chance of winning game.
-
unaka looked pretty good at scrimage. really nice qb and wr combo. their coach works hard and you can tell the kids believe in him. they should win 1st game
-
boone is well coached, usually solid up front. they are your toughest game. dont believe the lies. hamton may win but they will earn it,

elizabethton has been good except for witten's first year. some of those teams are better than the last two in my opinion. the only difference is 4a quality of teams to go through. elizabthton has all was been strong but has done better with witten's brother training the talent. they should win state quiet often and so should db and sh

region 1 as a whole, even big schools 6a 5a teams would have their seasons come to end with alcoa.
greenville and elizabethton the last couple years would be close. no teams in region 1 or region 2 teams in 3a have a chance. some scores might be low but alcoa just allowing score to be close in some cases on purpose. they are that good. first 4 rounds of playoffs are a joke for alcoa. to many good players to chose from and great coaching on top of that. they just reload

maybe clouland, happy valley, unaka 7 hampton should load one team up. lets see thats a 15 to 20 mile radius for kids to drive. then meigs would be no problem

With all seriousness its really no point. All the teams back that way are scared of them and anywhere they go its going to be movement. Speaking for ourselves we look forward to the challenge. Only thing we have to do is get their.
one team a year from the west plays alcoa, no one else has a clue. what we are talking about.
tssaa should make them move up. teams that have open enrollment should move up.

Really doesn't help us any. "Could" happen, but don't think HV has the horses...But can you really see us pulling for HV?
good luck in playoffs you guys have a good team
-
johnson county in 3a, looks like mountain city is headed in the wrong direction with covid.
chucky doak ties for 1st place in conference with only 3 real wins north greene, unicio & johnson county.
what a crazy season and playoffs will be the same

Exactly.....I'm wondering If HV gives SG a fit THIS Friday at HV.
HV has nothing to lose and SG can't be beat; Usually makes for a dandy conf atmosphere
i know hampton is pulling for hv to win to get a share of the conference title. could happen

Is Alcoa moving up to 4A for next year? Or will the 4A teams in and around Knoxville move up for whatever reason to 5A, causing Alcoa to stay? Teams are supposed to notify tomorrow.
thats what happened the last go around. said they were and back out at last min. causing teams to move up. their a joke in 3a. crazy good

Well Jacketfan2001 now this games means something. was surprise (just saying) with win over PF. But a great win. we got two Freshman Qbs.
looks like gp and k playing for 2nd and 3rd. gp likely to give game away to stay away from alcoa in playoffs at least for a little while. they have used this before. not sure this will work this time. region 1 has no clear cut number 1 because all 3 teams are equally good. maybe region 1 can get 3 wins in first round this year for the first time ever. well maybe not, but those 3 games should be alot closer than previous years. region 1 claiborne, chuckydoak, johnson county and then unicio, jc might be 4th
region2 alcoa, kingston, gp and pf or scott
should be some very good close games
gp might give k a covid win aol

LOL.
All depends on who the coach is next year.
should move up but probably want. talked about it the last time and caused several 4a teams to go to 5 a

hampton bye 21

alcoa thought about going to 4 a the last go around and that made several 4 a teams to go to 5 a. tssaa should make some teams move up and some others move down. teams should be in a balance even as possible region. region 2 3a teams might as well play in 4a

We're underdogs in more than one way in this one.
this is a good tune up game for playoffs. little different style should be a good game, hampton may have a bad taste in their mouth from last week. if johnson county can get over the injury bug soon they can cause some problems for the highlanders. cloudland has first place locked up. jc is in a must win next week at uc so i hope they are not looking ahead. cloudland is 1a champ and the horns still have a shot at first place. to good teams trying to finsh strong about to bang heads.

Yea it was. All I saw was our guy sliding out of bounds. I'm not sure anyone was touched out of bounds. If so, it was a tap while sliding on his butt Lol
you have to let that call go if your not call late hits on field. again refs determining the winner

make the big dogs move up a class. teams will be more even and bigger crowds but maybe not this year because of covid.. example alcoa at least 4 a or 5a
Landers
in Class 1A & Class 2A

will be fun in jamboree excited to see how everyone matches up
predictions
jc 14 to 7 over ng
roan mtn 7 to 0 over sg
unaka 14 wg 14
cd 7 over hampton
all of this based upon scrimmages and returning players
won't mean alot but atleast season will be started
