  1. I don't know anything about the coach , but I will take everyone's silence since he was announced, he is pretty good.  Not a lot of trash being said now by anyone.   Some of you know it all's , probably never laced a shoulder pad.  Internet warriors.  Crickets from all of you now.   Lol

Thanks Mondo, I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with JP as he was growing up, watching him play baseball with my nephew.  I, along with several others, thought he would go that route in college, but he obviously made football his choice, and look where he is today!  You will not find a better, more humble young man than Ponchez.  He has made Green Wave Nation proud!

Talked to him last night and he was pretty fired up EG.    Brock , Gage, Wiley, Andy and myself all went to double dogs to watch him.  It was pretty cool all of us watching him together.  Pretty special team we had

This is true!!  Fans of opponents be stirring the pot on here.  They know what could happen and it can happen again!!  This town is hungry for a winner.  Definitely some work to be done but the rewards can be high.

Very true.  Growing up in this town and being a part of the program during our "Hayday" the support is still there for a winning program.  It will be funny to see all the response if we make the type of hire we all want and should be able to make.  Everyone saying it's not a top tier job anymore, are probably former opponents that we beat when they were in school.  Message board warriors that probably took a couple of loses from the WAVE, don't hide behind made up screen names.   It's comical to read all these experts here.   Happy holidays to all of you.

  4. I hope one of them is if he hates losing more than he loves winning.  What we have seen for the past 6-7 yrs that wasn't evident.  From the top to the bottom, losing somewhere along the way became ok and that's not what I learned sitting beside Jim Barron as a 7 yr old riding to games on Friday night.

Interviews start Dec. 12th . Reps from the QB club will be present at the interviews along with Administrator's  from GHS . Been told that over 50 have applied or shown interest .

I just hope it's the right people from the qb club assisting on the search.  The ones used previously didn't get it right.

Caine is a football coach and I don't know if he is the type of guy to go around be a big voice and face in the community. He will coach them hard and he will win ball games. Playing hard nosed smash mouth football.

Then give me Caine.  I don't know a thing about him but if he is going to coach them hard, I will take him.  That's what we need.

  7. To be honest I'm sure there are a lot of people in Sumner County and surrounding areas deep down are worried that we DO get this one right.  All the post of the old tradition is obviously known by all of you and you know what is capable of being done here with the right person leading the way..  is there another Calvin Short or Jim Barron out there, I don't know, probably not but I hope there is someone with half their grit that will be leading us forward

I don’t say this to be disrespectful, but it hasn’t been rolling in a long time. There’s not a student in the building that knows anything about it being special, so it’s more than a rebuild, it’s a rebrand. The talent is there to make it a good program, but those kids have never seen that. You have to convince them it can be. A lot of changes have to be made for Gallatin to be relevant on a state level again.

You are very correct.  We have come a very long way from the starters not even playing the 2nd half against Beech to next year not even playing them.  Totally agree

  9. As a former player from back in the "Hayday Era" in Gallatin, I personally just hope we hire a guy that can get a group of guys to play hard, play together and play to win together.  There is enough talent walking the halls of that school, that with the right coach and culture, it wouldn't take long to rebuild.   As far as the dust on the trophies, most of them are no longer in the school.  In my opinion, one of the biggest mistakes they ever did.  I spent countless hours looking at all the ones won before us and it was very motivating to add our own.  Say what you will about our program and most I probably agree with, but with the right guy it won't take long.  Just my 2 cents on the subject

Again, we disagree. I understand the Gallatin point of view. It positively impacts them. The TSSAA should have mandated all region games be played at all costs. Period. Gallatin is going to be the biggest beneficiary of this in every way possible. So, with all due respect, an opinion on this coming from a Gallatin fan is not worth much of anything. The TSSAA absolutely could have handled this better and they did not do all they could do.

With that theory your opinion is worthless.  Its your opinion I understand and everyone is entitled to there own, but for you say our opinions as a Gallatin fan is not valid puts a light on your ignorance.   What's wrong did we beat you guys when you were in school and your still paissed.  I for one love the hate for Gallatin , probably a lot of whipped chapped #### on here.  Good luck to everyone in the playoffs.

Get real. This defense isnt stopping anything that gets in front of them. To be honest, the whole team just looks pretty bad. QB has probably 10 picks so far, very inaccurate and always makes the throw way too late. RB's look sloppy which is usually Gallatin's bread and butter. Speaking of butter, butterfingers. That's the best way to describe the defensive tackling. It's horrid this season. I don't know where we have an edge in any game left this year. Winless at home, and have lost the last 4 home games. All in very bad overall efforts. They also cause a ton of undisciplined, self inflicted pre snap penalties that kill drives. Special teams is not too thrilling either.

As you can see, I am very disappointed in the product this coaching staff has put on the field this year.

To all the Green Wave posters, I know this was a very negative review, but is there anything in there you disagree with? I'm just being honest.

One more thing l: I'm honestly getting tired of people making the 6A excuse for the last 3 games. They have played all 6A schools this season so far. Gallatin the school itself has 6A numbers. (I'm not singling you out Mondo, I've just heard it a lot lately, and I just feel it's an excuse for the efforts being put onto the field)

In fact, GHS has more students than 6A schools HHS or SCHS

    Totally agree with everything said.

Just want to see if this Gallatin staff can keep them boys hungry week after week. No weeks off.

I don't think this will be an issue with this staff.  Way to much enthusiasm and adrenaline and the team feeds off of it  They hold their players accountable and not afraid to chew some #### on the sidelines when needed.    That's been missing for a long time on the Gallatin sidelines.  Glad to see it return and with that, we have become relevant again.     And as for the topic,  I predict we win . Go Green Wave
