Fairview always has a lot of good skill kids. No doubt they will give us all they want. I think our offensive scheme will be tough to stop. I believe defense and special teams wins this game. I believe it will be a high scoring game with each team swapping licks. Least mistakes win and could come down to last person with the ball. Almost all our previous matchups the last 8 years have been decided by a touchdown or less.

Not so sure about last year.  It was a tail whipping here at FV.

FVJackets seems like some angry parent that is all over Hughes and his coaches because his boy probably sucked

Don't even have a kid on the team.  I think Hughes is the one of the best head coaches around.  He knows how to rally a community around his team.  He can rise money better than any local coach I have seen.  I simply said he needs to look around and see who can help help get to Cookeville.  Typical message board to run with whatever they want the post to say.

It can be a ice skating ring and we’re still going to punch them in the mouth. I’ll take up by 2 TD to set up another shot at the FireChickens. Nothing would be greater then knocking them out as the exit 3a.

I want our Jackets to win and think we will.  But I agree it would be nice to see the winner of our game take them out.

With the regular season now over what coaching changes take place this off season?

Just because a team makes the playoffs does not mean all staff should be safe.  I think our head coach needs to take a step back and look at his staff to see if they can help get to state or not.

    I was off by one.  5 currently start Defensively.  58, 20, 27, 11, 34.

Offensively 51, 54, 50, 77, 55, 24, 1, 6 have all started this year.  I believe 23 has also started at wideout this year as well (and also Punts).

If I can make the game tomorrow, I'll check your numbers.  I don't think all those currently start on D.

On offensive those numbers have started but not all starting now.  This was only because of injuries.  That does not make them better as far as talent.  Which was the original comment.  Talent will drop next season.

I needed a laugh this morning.  I'd have a better chance at winning the Lottery tonight.  Fairview returns 8 kids who have started Offensively this year and 6 who are currently starting Defensively.  Maybe they'll find a way to finish 4th and squeak into the State Playoffs if they pull a Covington and catch Cheatham or Sycamore playing an ineligible kid and they have to forfeit their wins.

I'm not saying FV won't make the playoffs at all.  The dominance of R6-3A is over.  The teams rolling over in this league like they do will allow FV to walk into playoffs.

You can count all the kids you want but your numbers are off.  I did notice your wording "WHO HAVE STARTED".  I don't see that many kids starting now that are underclassman.  There are three underclassman OL that I think start but the OL is our weakest area.  I see three kids on Defense as well that start.

You may be closer to the team, but I know how to count and I don't your numbers.

    Dang that was cocky

Maybe cocky.  But true.  Fairview only played two decent teams as well (Page and Lebanon).  This region was really bad this year.  Stewart stepped out and played a bad Houston County (2A) team, a bad South Fulton (1A) team and just above bad East Hickman (2A) team.

For some reason (gate money I assume), we have East Hickman on the schedule.  That is simply a rest your kids and let JV play game.

Both teams enter the contest at 7-1 Overall and both are unbeaten at 4-0 in the Region and will be at HOME when the playoffs begin in 2 weeks.  Fairview has only allowed 28 points in 4 region games this season.  Stewart County has only allowed 27 points in 4 region games this season.  The environment in Dover is sure to be cranked up many notches on Friday night.

I hope it is rocking Friday night.  Taking a look at the box scores, it appears Stewart Count had to play their starters until close to the end of the games.  Fairview pulled their starters after the first drive in the 3rd.  It does not appear that Stewart County has played anyone decent outside the region.  They played a lousy East Hickman team and somehow lost.

Watching the videos of SC, it appears they have a big tall WR and a decent QB.  Outside of that, I don't see much.

I think we are gonna beat Sycamore and Harpeth and make the playoffs.

If you come to play football, you can beat Harpeth.  They showed up Friday night to simply run out the clock.  There was no desire to compete from them.  80% of their plays were up the middle.  IT was a fun game form FV as we were able to play all our kids.  I was disappointed in the lack of fight from them.

Sycamore will give you more of a fight.  They tried their entire playbook and found some success in the second half moving the ball.

Fairview can only hope that Stratford or Whites Creek doesn't beat them by 100 points.

I don't know much about either team. FV is beatable and has been beaten.  They won't roll over like a lot of the teams we have played this season.

I willing to take your money on this game if you wish.

what in the world has happened to Sycamore? I know they lost their HC and a pretty good, and large, senior class, but man, watching them for the first time this year (v. FHS) was sobering. Granted, 2020 Fairview is a very, very good team, but between the body language of players and coaches on the sidelines that night, and the results/scores I've seen from a distance thus far, this might be the worst SHS team in the ~20 years they have existed. Sad to see for those kids, especially #7 and what I have 'heard' he has dealt with this year.

I made it to the game and it appeared Sycamore was simply going through the motions.  They did not try much.  Looking at the sideline, they had very few kids who could even come in the game.  I sat on the Sycamore side, looking at the FV side and saw that crowd size was noticeably different.  I understand that when a program is down, you typically don't have a lot of people show up.
