Halls has been preparing as if he’s playing. I’ll stick with my prediction earlier. Hoping for an injury free game for both teams. Good luck.

Was pulling for a Boone win, but hey, at least we kept it close!
Halls is definitely not taking Boone lightly. They are a disciplined football team that plays hard. Who are probably the favorites in this game.
-
I'm going to take Halls in a close one 28-20 Red Devils.
-
Halls biggest threat is 8 Parris. Last 2 weeks he's scored 10 TD's. The previous week vs South Doyle ran for over 250 and 2 more TD's. They also have a WR that has been injured that can stretch the field vertically. Defensively Halls has looked suspect at times, but the last couple weeks have looked better. Like I said earlier this will probably be the most competitive game of Round 1 for regions 1/2. Should be a good physical football game.

This should be one of the better games in the first round. Both teams coming in winning all the games they were suppose to. Boone’s only losses coming to 2 top tier 4A teams, TN High, and a 6A team. While Halls losses came to 3 top tier 5A teams. Heard that Boone has a stud RB that’s been out that’s likely to play this week.

Ill be at this game, but believe Powell wins big. Halls has the right style of offense to keep this game close, if they run the ball, get some first downs and keep the clock moving they may be able to avoid a blow out. I don't believe they have a strong enough defense though to keep Powell from lighting up the score board.
If these coaches stay where they are, and Halls can avoid kids transferring out, this rivalry should become one of the best in Knoxville in the coming years.
I agree. Halls is much improved from years past and will continue to improve under Cummings and his staff, but they just are not ready to compete with teams in the top tier in 5A yet.

Powell should win this game.
-
Halls should come away with the W in this one.
-
Both teams looked improved from the previous years. Two new head coaches who have both won state titles. Who do you see having the edge in this one?
-
Halls did not look nearly as impressive last week vs Clinton. What does everyone think about this one? I'm still going to take halls getting the W because I think Scott Cummings gets the players right this week.
-
Farragut gets right in this one.
-
If QB1 was healthy this game wouldn't be that close. South Doyle has some studs. With a backup QB SD gets the win 35-21
-
Fulton gets their first W this week.

I'm taking Halls 28-14

Double wing vs the veer. This one will be over with quick.
-
West has to be in the top 10.
-
Halls coming off a couple big wins and Clinton coming off of a couple losses to AC and CAK. Does Clinton bounce back here or do the Red Devils continue their success?

I'll take Halls by 2 TDs in a high-scoring affair. Walker Valley was a terrible football team last year, and last week's win over Karns was just their 2nd win in the past 3 seasons.
Take Catholic out of Region 4 a year early and Walker Valley goes to the playoffs at 0-10. SMH.
Yikes didn't realize that. Just noticed that Karns has a couple really good athletes. Halls had a nice win over Gibbs with a backup QB so they may have the advantage in this one.

Give me Cummings and the Veer! The real question here is can Cummings and company keep the other side of Emory from poaching?
Red Devils by a few!
Really glad to see hard nosed football back in halls. Would be great to see them be able to compete with the other side of Emory again eventually.

Powell will just be too much for Anderson County this year. This would have been a good game the past 2 years. I see Powell winning this one by at least 3 TD's.

Both teams look to have injured QB's. Not sure if either is going to play. Anyone have thoughts about what happens in this game?
REGIONS 1/2 5-A PLAYOFFS! OPINIONS?
in Class 5A & Class 6A

Region 1 vs 2 picks
Central over Crockett - Central turns it around
TN High over Gibbs
Halls over Daniel Boone - Close game Parris being the difference
South Doyle over Cherokee - Cherokee getting ready to find out #2 is really really good.
