On Monday morning USJ will announce that they are doing away with football until or unless they drop back to 1A. It will be that bad.
Just not a very good USJ team this year. Different animal between 1a and 2a. Glad they got some win’s this year.

Jackson Christian does not have a strong presence on The T. Only one I know of is JJ420and he is an infrequent poster. You won't hear much out of USJ posters unless they win Friday. Then they will say IF they cleaned up something they would have won by 3 times what they did.
Good grief. You're insufferable.
i think JCS will win this year.

I cannot believe this USJ team is 2-0. Very happy for the team and new coach.

This will be USJ last week in top ten.
Unfortunately I agree.

Congrats to FCS. Big upset and they played their best game of the year. NCS had a great season and returns one of the best rising sophomores in the country.
Upset? That is crazy. The better team won and the championship was probably decided a week earlier.

No, he's not.
This is going to be interesting. The dad made some harsh remarks about the coach on Facebook.

Throw out 2 years ago as that was a fluke win. .......A fluke?
You look up fluke win in a dictionary and it has JCS vs USj 2020 as an example. Other words to describe that game.
Incompetence
Multiple timeouts
19 years old
Covid
Spotting the ball

Good to see. I saw Michael Odom tweets and it looked a little sparse.

Did Peabody fans boycott the game? Saw Twitter highlights and it looked like 100 people in the stands for Trenton.

If you didn't know better, you'd think that they didn't like each other very much.
We did pull the starters the year we beat TCA 75-0. Some are still upset we did not make the extra points.

Throwing out the effects of season records (everyone loves a winner) and just judging rivalries... Dawg and Pony show, Dyersburg vs. Dyer Co., and maybe Lexington/Riverside should be a few in the same league. JCS/USJ has no excuse for not being one of (if not #1) biggest draws west of Nashville. Proximity, rivalry, and population are there...stands should be full.
Yes I agree on those two

What West Tennessee matchups would have more people attending than this game? Peabody vs Milan, South Gibson vs Haywood, Hardin vs Adamsville

Can you buy ticket at the gate at USJ or have to go online?
You can buy ticket at the gate.

These things you mentioned happen at MOST high school football games. Nothing unique on McClellan rd.
Never said it was any different than other schools. To imply that public is anymore passionate than privates is stupid. Ask any high school coach if the privates are passionate enough.

You silly sweatervesters you can't buy this type of passion. This stuff comes from joining the flag team because you see how cool your big brother/cousins are in that sweet jersey on Friday. It comes from those inevitable auxiliary games on Friday nights when you all came to watch but your buddy brought a football! (Just til halftime mom I swear). This stuff comes from driving all the way out to a game you might otherwise skip but it's your sophomore family members first start! Guys if you can ever put a price on wearing the same jersey some of the people your closet to and looked up to most as a kid....and God Willing see your son wear that same one too...well that's when you'll see me on McLellan Rd on Friday nights.
You might want to come to McClellan road more often. You have never seen 5th and 6th grade kids light up because a high school football player comes to watch them play. Get a scouting report of who will be the future stars from the tackle football games in the end zone on Friday nights.
My son wore the blue just like I did and his uncle did. He graduated with multiple kids that their fathers played for USj before it was USJ. In elementary, he had a poster of the USJ quarterback proudly hanging in his room. So do not give me that more passion stuff.

If I remember correctly from last year’s game Union City had a couple of good drives but could not punch it in. USJ travels well so it should be a good night for the gate and Hop’s and Barley.

There will be no excuses. Y’all wanna doubt us please do. Me saying it’s going to be a battle is not trash talking. Me along with every other public school team doesn’t like the private school rules but there is nothing we can do about it. You know I have always had respect for USJ’s team and fans but if your a fan. They have definitely downgraded.
What private school rules do you not like?

Should be a good game. I hope USJ brings more guys upfront than 3 defensive lineman.
-
I know for Peabody fans scrimmages and jamboree’s are like Super Bowls. Just want to get potential excuses out of the way. So how many guys are you “ holding out” tomorrow?

Serious question how did #19 and #7 compare to Pope? I believe #19 has no clue how good he can be in college with his 6’1” 185 lb frame and good speed, good route running, and great hands. Those two are fast but behind the kicker #25, #9, with #15 and #3 being about the same speed as #7 and faster than #19. The tailback who had an 80 yard td is behind all those kids as far as speed in concerned but he’s 190 lbs and only a sophomore with #15.
I haven’t seen Pope in person or on film so I appreciate your input.
USJ was a great environment and awesome facility Best of luck to you guys!
We had a better plan for Pope. Which allowed the TE to have a big game. Pope has some wiggle those guys do not have. We got beat by some poor execution in the secondary and the QB Gaines. We got fast kids also. It is disappointing that #25 for us was hobbled but that is part of the game. Him not being able to play defense really hurts us.

Congrats to DCA. The better team won. Gaines was very impressive tonight.

This is going to be a great game. My concern is how USJ handles the passing game. We have not faced many teams with above average passing games. My question is what makes this DCA team better or worse than last years team?
