Sometimes middle school success does not carry over to high school, but I do agree Fayetteville has tons of athletes. Should be an interesting year.
Very true. Honestly probably often the case. Schemas and teamwork are much more important at higher levels; less likely 1 or 2 talented individuals can control the game like they can at the younger levels. And really some kids hit puberty earlier and sorta peak at 13 or 14 and then everyone else just catches up. But its always fun to speculate.
Much like this year, should be very competitive region with not much separating 3 or 4 of the teams.

For Fayetteville next year the Senior/Junior/Soph crew didn't lose any in grades 9-12 (undefeated 3 years running) I believe. That said they did lose some kids to transfers so it will be interesting to see how they stack up.

Should be on MYTV30. Somewhere in the local oddball channels there.
Thanks

Did someone say this game would be televised and if so where?

Love the talk going around. Really would like to make this game but Friday morning? Guess I'll miss it after all.

In 62 pages has anyone mentioned the Fayetteville team that could have been hosting this game? If the motion sick Mustangs had a bad half against that team it could've ended their season.
No mention. Fayetteville would have been a tougher matchup for the Mustangs (stronger all around on defense, more variety on offense). The way Huntington played the first half they'd have lost. The way they played the second half they'd have won. Good luck to Huntington on the next round, well played game overall.

Again, bus transport was an issue.
Are we back to bus routes again

Don't think the Huntland D will be to the task tonight. Huntingdon wins 42-13

If Huntland has to rely on the passing game to win this game won't be close.

Stack the box and force them to beat you in the passing game.

Successful here and McEwen goes to the next round. Looking for this to be one of the better games this weekend.

Mt. Pleasant gets the win. Struggled this year but still a good ball team.

Congrats to all those young men. Well done.

FV seemingly failed to include that he was in the county and not inside FV bus routes in the details on the form, so your assessment is incomplete. Therefore, how do you figure someone else at another school knew this yet the people checking the boxes on the form at FHS did not?
I would guess someone outside the FV system, with more experience working with TSSAA and transfers, knew about it all along but waited to turn it in until the end because either
1. Just malicious (or personal grudge) which is sad to think but there are those people. Unfortunately.
2. They Had something to gain. Playoff positioning would be most obvious but there could be something else or another angle.
The "why" is less important at this point than the learning experience IMO. Its done, let it go and hopefully don't repeat it again (although it seems likely someone, somewhere will).

Looking forward to a good game here.

I’m sure it will be a good hard hitting game. From what I’ve seen MP hasn’t made it through many games this year without a temper tantrum. It will prob be a long night of yellow flags.
Agreed, been a bit disappointed there this year. Talent is there, experience is there, attitude is not. Still could put it together

...It's suddenly very easy to be in one territory and out of the other and then have the opposite when you move in or out of town. Couldn't do that when everyone thought all of LC was both school's territory. Woops.
That could make things interesting.

If this ruling holds, Lincoln County loses Fayetteville proper are territory. They don't pick up with buses in town. Of course, they could decide to now in order to keep Fayetteville as territory.
I believe this "bus" thing only applies to transfers, yes?

There were a ton of kids that didn't want to play for the previous coach last season. A ton of kids came back out this year and the majority are athletes. I figured there would be improvement, just not this much.
And multiple injuries. Multiple. At least 5 starters this year were on the DL last. Considering a small school with guys going both ways that is significant

There isn't time to go through the appeals process that TSSAA is in charge of and get in the playoffs.
Ah, that makes sense to me now. Thanks for clarifying

Anyone know the basis of the restraining order...or how exactly does that work?

I’d say when you do it puts a HUGE BULLSEYE on your schools sports programs!
I'd agree. That may be true as well.

I get your point also, but we're talking about an independent organization here. Membership is voluntary... you have to petition to join, pay a fee, and agree to abide by their by-laws (policy)
So it's like a College (or maybe even a Fraternity). Those organizations are never in court.
