    Burley definitely a good place to watch a game. Wish they would find a way to build another locker room for visiting team though, instead of gym.

    The officiating crew just terrible for both teams. I shouldn’t have said anything. Just agitated with no calls

    True, with the lack of Spring ball, limitations on fall workouts with no scrimmages, it has made it very hard to gain the depth needed for those early games. For all Schools. One of the reasons we play numerous JV games. Pleased with the way our young guys have stepped up. Elizabethton is definitely going to in the top tier for many years to come.

    I believe missing 3 bigs was the difference in that one. Sorry. No disrespect to Boone, great coach, and great kids. It’s just we were pretty short handed.

    Yea the two oldest had a heck of trainer growing up. Lol:thumb:. All have been great friends, mentors, and like family to my son. I guess they take it after their momma, but I sure do love that Godly family. Even if the dads a nut.

    Greeneville is still young but has talent. But I don't think they have enough this year to pull off a win..much less 2 (assuming we meet in the playoffs) against a loaded EHS. I look for EHS to win but only by a td or 2 as our games are almost always close. 

    All year we have heard about Betsy taking a step back in the run game. I disagree. If you go by statistics this year team is averaging over a yard more per carry. I believe we are just better balanced. The Boone game was a different beast within itself with 3 of 5 starters out up front. And yet we still found a way with young guys up front to pull it out. I believe our guys are clicking on all cylinders and are only getting better. Greeneville and South will be a tough game, it has been for the past several years in regular season matchup. It’s just the way it is. Hopefully Betsy will continue to show why we are #1, just as Ballard’s teams left know doubt in the past.

    Lol. It’s all good. I just get tired of the whole recruiting talk. Ultimately I believe every kid that lives outside of the city limits makes their own decisions. I did push for mine to go to TAD but he was given the option to go back as a Freshman. He like some of our other guys have remained close to his county friends. It has worked out well for him and it may not work for the next kid who decides to try and switch. I just hope these kids can do something that NO other CITY or COUNTY school has done in the TSSAA era. State Championship in Football..

    The oldest brother Logan was a heck of shooter on the court.

    Remember watching Logan. Didn’t want him to get his feet set or he knock it down. Does he have his own shop yet?

    It’s crazy how different the two are though. I believe in talking to his Dad, Cade is liable to be an absolute beast in the coming years. He has the frame, just has to live in the weight room. The kid has great speed, not as quick as Corey, but he has abilities that could be better than Corey. Either way both are tremendous Athletes and are Humble. Great young men. Cade already plays with a little more attitude than Corey. Cade could be dangerous.

    I will agree with that.. He was a once and a lifetime talent. But he would have never and mean NEVER reached his full potential at Cloudland. This kid did whatever the coaches asked him and he was very coachable. Coaches helped him more than you know... Granted a lot was God given, but he had the coaches as well. It was a great fit.

As for coaching,that's where we lost the something special part.Anyone who thinks not having coach Ballard didn't make a difference either knows more about the game then Batman or is a coach.Still a great staff full of coaches who could lead their own program but not the same  and I just don't think coach Ballard would have lost a game this year ..Just my opinion and we all have one.

    Not taking anything away from Devils. My personal opinion is that it wouldn’t have made a difference in both Betsy games. I may be wrong, you guys know the Ballard family better than any of us on here. I do believe it was just Elizabethton’s time. We have been knocking on that same door for a while just never could get through it till this year. Idk. But I am realistic. Greenville had probably one of the best teams in the entire state last year combined with a tremendous ball Coach. Elizabethton has something special cooking, these kids on this squad will hopefully pass it on. The work they do on their own is second to none. Very proud of the dedication, refuse to settle, Grit and determination they show week end and week out. Hopefully they can fulfill a dream that most people will never get to experience.... Greenville is a special program, heck I would even call them a dynasty. But I believe E-Town has started writing a dynasty as well. Time will tell if they can finish this chapter. As for the troll, idk, they were over on the Springfield section earlier. May be a Haywood supporter.

    Well I hope everyone is alright. Like I said, I look forward to watching those kids on Sat. Hope the wife and baby are well, and if she will let you have the night off, comeback to the Bank this Friday. Need all the support we can get... Hopefully we can do what the Devils have done...

    Without question. My son had to deal with #62 Most of Friday night is why I was asking. Would had to deal with #54 but due to being banged you all utilized him him more on Offense. A lot of respect for whole Devil program.
