I'd like to say I'm proud of our girls putting up a fight tonight. Taylor berry bailed out the dogs with a huge game. For real, she couldn't miss. Some misfortunes cost us in the 3rd and we just couldn't rally. Big game by Blair, our freshman phenom. Happy my girl got to go in and help out. The future looks bright. It'll be an interesting summer camp for us. Best of luck to the lady dogs. I do believe they'll go to the state tournament but carp better think about playing the half court game. He's getting too many in foul trouble.
That was prob the best game Berry has had. Cloudland fought hard. Future looks good for them especially with Hampton moving up.
Hate to see Ramsey’s high school career end like it did. Unaka will be hurting bad next year. -
Time to step up tonight or go home. Hope to see Ramsey and Unaka take down North Greene.

Thank you. I do believe attitude plays a big part in how far you go.
Congrats on the W tonight. Looks like Landers took the right attitude to Cosby. Another matchup with Hampton Monday night.

Hampton is due for a loss to University High. Hampton is a well coached team, and every one of those young men play off each other. The bulldogs are the definition of playing the game the right way. However, University High has had the Bulldog's number in recent matchups which would make for a great title game. My nephew and I watched theme play a few weeks ago at Brooks gym and I thought Hampton had them beat.
Looks like you call it. UH could not miss long range and walks are apparently allowed now.

After 3 UH up by 8 on Hampton

Unaka pulls upset on North Greene, University High up on Hampton at half.

NG has 4 seniors and only 9 players. The feeder school doesn’t have any 8th grade girls that play basketball so James is gonna have to hit the transfer portal and autobahn to find some help.
He may have to pull a few cheerleaders. They have a bunch of them. Heard Univ High had to do that this year due to injuries mid way in season. It sure didn’t help any, but at least they got to continue to play.

We made them look better than what they are. Lady Landers are lost right now. Sahara's injury hurt but we should still be in every game with the top teams. There's such good chemistry with the younger players but they're not playing well with the older ones. One is trying to do too much and we're not getting any offensive output from the other two. It may be too late to fix it and it could mean we'll be in the dugout early.
I went to that game, yes CHS looked confused to me. One girl tried too much on her own and no real team chemistry was there. I hope they can pull together before next week.

CD 58-49 over Hampton. Hampton just looked like the team from two years ago. Looked like they had no energy what so ever, poor shot selection, lazy passes. Give credit to CD, they came out and punched them early and never let up. They better pull it together if they want to go to state.

Finalists
Jason Britton, North Greene
Rodgerick Robinson, Middleton
Cadon Buckles, Hampton
Who ya got?

No way Hampton is number 2 in this area or in the state. Ng only has 6 players and gave them all they wante
d.
I was able to attend tonight and after 1st quarter Hampton was cruising along and then made several mental mistakes in 2nd half like they did against Cloudland that let NG back in game. I give the NG coach props for hanging with only six, they could have easily folded down about 14 I believe, but after 5-6 straight turnovers by Hampton and some shots that fell for NG, they were back in it. If Hampton gets the mental aspect cleared up, I think NG gets beat by 10-15+ with 10 players on bench. I think Friday when they rematch Cloudland will be a test for Hampton to get over the mental problems or not. If they do, they have a good shot going past regionals.

Well we dropped a nail biter 40-38 to NG. It was a well executed game plan by coach James and the defensive play in this game was a clinic. We played really bad in the 1st and 3rd quarters so I thought that played a big part in the outcome. Sahara was on the bench and giving out water during timeouts. Pray for her mom. This is really hard on her.
Must have been good D on both sides. Hate to hear the young lady will be out for the remaining season. With just a couple games left for each in season, lots to be decided with both Hampton games now. Should be good games.

I'd argue that this year's Hampton team is possibly BETTER than the Hampton team last year that was 3 seconds away from playing for a state championship.
Big game and test for Hampton tonight at North Greene. Hard to win in that madhouse.

Any updates on NG and Cloudland?

After the preview first half, who you got for the top spots looking now at district play? Losing only too much larger schools, Hampton seems to be playing good. North Greene has lost to CD a couple times and is always a hard out especially at NG. University High also lost to CD and NG beat them close at home.

Impressed with the way University High has come along at the end of season and this post season. They have got hot at the right time. Was able to watch last couple of their games and they don’t miss long range even with hands in their face. If they make it to the glass house they may be overlooked. Will see if they can keep up the pace against Hampton Thursday.
