She was certainly no Macey Lee, at least not tonight. On the other hand, I can't imagine the frustration of coming into the second half of a do-or-die game with your team in a 30 point hole. I have to assume a 1/2 game suspension would have to be something disciplinary. They also dropped 2 straight in the region and I'm not sure if she played in those games or not.

Looking at it from the outside, my guess is there is resentment when players from other schools/school systems end up at Bradley. And no, that's not saying there is any monkey business involved in the moves.

This.  100% true.  And when you are drilling your opponent with starters deep into the 4th qtr.   Many of the Bradley faithful on here swear that it doesn’t happen, but it does and it’s factual.  Is he a good coach? Yep  Does he push boundaries? Yep.  Is he respected by his peers, thats debatable.

Absolutely, not taking anything away from the girls. They are all good players. However, I know for a fact there are 5+ girls in East Tennessee more skilled, better players and just absolutely upstanding young women who were left off these lists. (And that’s just this area). Because they don’t play in storied program? On the best team? Their coaches don’t kiss enough butt?

    Frustrating, to say the least.

    Yep, you nailed it

  4. First of all I would like to congratulate all the finalists.    Many of the girls selected this year were probably pleasantly surprised.  We should not take that joy away from them.  However, the selection process is lacking and is laughable.  I know for a fact that one of the girls, not to be named, has physically not gone into the locker room at the half with her teammates.  Instead she went and sat with her dad in the stands.  Yet, let’s award that attitude with a finalist nomination.  That is what pisses me off.

  5. This entire thing is on Reuter.  He allowed her attitude and behavior get to this point.  He is the best of the best at allowing his “perceived” best player get away with much more than others.  The best player can make the same mistake over and over and over and then another player to make it once and they get pulled. It’s a fact.  Kids and parents quickly loose respect.   But when you are loaded from top to bottom on the roster, you get as he calls it “next man up”.   However,  they will not repeat as state champs, and I would be surprised if they make it Murfreesboro.

FYI Tony Williams never coached Howard. He was at Rhea middle when Howard was in 8th grade.

You are correct...I stand corrected.  However there is no love between the two coaches.  In addition , I’m not sure there are many coaches out there that care for either one them as coaches.

No I am sure Cleveland’s coach knew nothing about this and I am positive had no contact with the player. And with that being said I am 100% sure that he will do the honorable thing for his current players and not play this kid til next year. Trust the Process and that philosophy is working.

High unlikely that Cleveland’s coach didn’t know.  I know for a fact that the player being discussed here has threatened multiple times this season to transfer to Cleveland.   Do you all forget that Williams was at East Hamilton and had Rhyne Howard as a star 8th grader playing on varsity??  Bradley’s Coach and other influential Cleveland “Elite” were able to close the deal and Howard was at Bradley as a ninth grader.  The player being mentioned here played at Cleveland Middle and should have been at CHS to start with. The tactics in Bradley County are as about as close as you get to the AAU scandals that have occurred over the last couple of years. Don’t be fooled.
