What coach’s getting suspended? Who paying fines?

I'm not sure that any coach got ejected nor suspended.  An FC coach was escorted out by deputies, but I'm not sure that game officials took any action against him.  I believe that he was on the sideline the entire time and that he was very upset that the incident had occurred - in his frustration, he turned and kicked over a water cooler.  That grabbed the attn of the deputies, who were nearby trying to calm things.  I initially thought he'd been ejected by officials, but now think that deputies may have just escorted him out in the name of lowering emotions, etc without any game official action.  In such a situation, there rightfully aren't many questions asked nor hesitation in taking action to calm the scene.

Some of that is supposition on my part, trying to put two an two together from very limited information - I don't know it to be a fact or complete.

No word on any fines at this point that I'm aware of.

Yeah that was announced earlier in the week. Lincoln County was sniped by contact tracing. Their season is over. If Franklin County pulls the massive upset over Page, they get the 4 seed. Otherwise, Columbia gets the 4 seed and gets the great reward of traveling to Beech for a beat down next week.

I believe that if FC were to win, that FC and Page would be tied for third in the Region at 2-3.  If that were to happen, Page would be 4th.  This imagines that Columbia doesn’t beat Shelbyville.

I highly doubt FC would impose any extra on themselves.  They don't sound like the type of program or school that would hold themselves accountable

You’re wrong.  Four of these were TSSAA imposed.  I think it could be eight total instead of nine, but not sure.

    Sure it did. Lol.

There’s little question it did.  The only question is whether it got turned back on.  I’ve shot and edited 50 games or more.  No one who does this regularly is likely to be so careless with his time as to not break after the play.  Adding 120 edits to the process of prepping the tape just every week just isn’t smart.

This fight started at least 5s after the tackle, and 20 yds away.  Just no chance the tape hadn’t been cut, IMO.

This particular incident even happened while there was an ongoing "Tackle" right?

Absolutely not. Maybe 0.5% of the overall incident ocurred before the whistle, arguably nothing at all illegal, and a part that would’ve given no one on earth any idea of what was coming. Normal video would never have captured it.

And the 0.5% that did occur was likely 20 yards or more from the tackle.  No way a person filming could have known.

Every ejection gets a report from the referees.  They've been submitted.  The only question on more consequences is if they'll be school imposed or TSSAA imposed.

I think there’s a question of whether there’ll be more penalties and what they are.  I don’t think that is known info at this point.

A common theme that appeared in most or all of the cases with the most severe penalties from your story was crowd involvement.  That didn’t happen here.

So, the benches didn’t clear and the crowd wasn’t involved.  Those factors seem important, given how prominently they figured in the cases cited.

May matter, may not. I don’t think we know.  We’ll likely know soon.

The story is about multiple recent fights and the consequences with them.  It's pretty simple to deduce from the article how TSSAA reviews such issues.  That's my point.

All of these stories refer to letters and reports.  And the reports have to be filed the night of the game. There’s nothing at all here to indicate that video is reviewed if no appeal is made.  The fact that the Tennessean linked video in its story doesn’t change that.

It absolutely is speculation that video is being reviewed.  Maybe so, maybe no.  This story doesn’t support that supposition.

It really is. Rumors are getting out of control.  I have a buddy that took his grandson to the NPA thing today.  According to him FC had 2 coaches arrested for hitting a Shelbyville kid.  I sure hope that is not true.  I think we would have heard that by now.

You are correct to doubt that. It is absolutely and categorically false.  No one was arrested for anything.

Webb. The Allen brothers moved back to Fayetteville. Are there other players at LC that I am unaware of that will be big time difference makers this year?

No idea, was honestly asking.  Don't live in LC anymore.  Did know that Ardell's boys went back to City.

  10. Seems to me that a good solution might be to allow each athlete one week of the dead period, and they can choose which week.  Coaches still get a full extra week with the team and long-planned vacations don't have to be blown up.  Kids who might benefit from more attention/smaller groups get a little dose of that as well.

Imagine there are too many moving parts for that to be considered, but it might be a good option if it could reasonably be implemented.
