  1. Cornersville is done. No playoffs in their future, they’re turning their equipment in in a couple weeks and what should’ve been a great team was ruined by a lack of want to, lack of good coaching, and poor handling of the coaching search by the administration. Waddell will go the way of every other Cornersville coach not named Stocstill or Randolph, just another guy who filled the role. I love Big Ben, I love Bradden Hickman, I love Riley Qualls, and I love so many guys on that team. I hope for bens sake he leaves and does better things because Cornersville is done this year and for the next few years.

I’m starting to think Waddel never got a real chance from anyone in that community. Do you think y’all would’ve had a chance to win this with the old coach?

By no means would Randolph be undefeated with this team, but I guarantee 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs would be at least achievable with him. Waddell and his staff teach terrible blocking techniques, only give Ben the ball about 10 times a game when he should be the centerpiece of that offense, and try to throw the ball way too often in terrible situations. No slight against the Woodard kid at QB but he shouldn’t be throwing as much. He’s an excellent athlete and could really fit into the run game if they’d utilize him more in that way. No doubt the injuries have hit Cornersville hard but when that happens you as a coach have to elevate players and I don’t think waddell is capable of doing that. Coach Randolph for sure was though.

No doubt. This is the same kid that gets a unsportsmanlike penalty once a game and is always causing a problem. The kid already quit once…

Although, leader might have been a poor choice of words for Bradden. The kids still a loved member of that team and I know for certain that all the Cornersville players went into last night with the mentality “we’re gonna get the our butts kicked because of Waddell”. Came straight from the horses mouth. Those players don’t believe in waddell and as a result he won’t ever win very much in Cornersville.

They quit because they are quitters and that’s what quitters do. Many had quit under Randolph, mostly because of Hubble. I am only aware of 3 quitting under Waddell, and one of those came back only to be injured and made a personal choice to sit out after that. Perhaps I am missing some others.

you mentioned earlier that Waddel’s approach was more codling. And now that is why they quit? Waddell has to walk on eggshells because he can’t afford to loose anyone else! Numbers were down when he came in, in fact some that had quit came back.

Dont’t make excuses for quitters. Not everything in life goes how you want it and not every boss will do things the way you want. Horrible life lessons to place the blame of their decisions on someone else. The problem is lack of desire and you can’t coach that!

    Respectfully!

Desire was in the culture of the Cornersville program. A culture he destroyed in less than a year. I don’t hate the guy but he’s not a good football coach and was a terrible hire.m

Regardless of what anyone is saying, they dressed 21 kids Friday night. They only practice with 16 all week. They also had 5 starters that didn’t even play. And 4 of the 5 lineman that started didn’t even start the year starting due to 2 of them quitting and the other ones hurt.

We all can blame Waddell all we want but not many people are going to win practicing with 16 guys all week and only dressing 20 on Friday night.

Even before Randolph left he only had 28-30 guys planning on playing this year and it’s still about the same not counting the injuries. I believe the sole blame is the kids in the school walking the halls. This senior and junior group was the most successful group in school history from kindergarten to 8th grade, now 20+ of them are walking the halls just in them 2 grades alone.

Except those kids have all confirmed they quit because they didn’t like Waddells way of coaching. Randolph would have at least 9-10 more players dressing out every Friday and I assure you even if he only had 16 guys practice for a week he wouldn’t get blown out by 3 touchdowns on homecoming to eagleville.

Randolph left to help Marshall County and to watch his son play.  He was missing all of his son's games due to him coaching at Cornersville and his son playing for Marshall County.

Yeah that was the public reason, but I’ve heard a few murmurs that he wanted a more administrative role in Cornersville and it was denied.

For everyone hating on Ben Franklin, please don’t tarnish this young man’s reputation based off a coach T post by a fan using his name to talk smack. He is as good as you think he is. It is a game played by 11 and not just 1 though. This young man is as humble as they come. He does his job well and hands the ball back to the ref and goes back to the huddle, no matter if it’s a 2 yard loss or 90 yard touchdown. He does not showboat. He is what you want in an athlete.

I don’t think it’s a hate for Ben, that dude is over performing every week and getting almost nothing in return from that staff and some of his teammates. Wouldn’t be shocked to see him leave next year if this Waddell situation isn’t handled. I don’t know why Randolph left, but if it was a financial reason or him wanting a more active role as an AD, Cornersville made the stupidest move possible letting him go.

  8. A lot of Cornersvilles old players were in attendance on Friday for Cornersvilles homecoming against Eagleville. I got a chance to speak with most if not all of those young men and the consensus was that Waddell and crew can’t call a good game to save their life, but that he also has no idea how to coach these kids. Randolph did a fantastic job at chewing them a new one when they made mistakes but also making sure they all understood he still loved and cared about them. Unfortunately Waddell is much more on the coddling and loving train for his players and as a result has lost control of that team. Cornersville will be demolished at Fayetteville this Friday and I assure you it will not be pretty. That is not a prediction folks, that’s a spoiler!

First of all I don’t drink Alcohol, second I don’t stand at games and yell plenty of others do that. I don’t think they need a coach’s  t account they say enough at game.  So you have know idea what your talking about. Yeah I be better off not paying 7 dollars than watching that Friday night and 2 hour drive.

Yet you find the need to be a big enough loser to criticize a bunch of high school kids on coach T. I hope to dear god you don’t have a kid who plays

Cornersville players and coaches should have never got on bus to go play this game. They Should have sent girls Soccer team to play. Coach needs make adjustments with players and coaches this off season . Never seen team that couldn’t keep 11 men on field for special teams, Always somebody not on field . All season. Does cornersville even practice special teams? Huntingdon has a good team but not 48 points better. They ran about 6 plays on offense that’s it but they ran it right and they man handle offense and defense line. I don’t want to hear they we couple starters out. Do cornersville kids work out during season 4 or 5 days a week? If they do need to be different program. Could I help out or is it not allowed because I’m not a teacher? I just like to help fix the problem.

I assume you’re one of those drunk idiots who can normally be found right behind the cornersville bench yelling about how a bunch of high school kids should meet you in the parking lot or how Randolph should put your son in. Please never pay the $7 gate price to come into a cornersville game again, please and thank you

If Huntingdon comes out and opens the play book and spreads it around like they did against Milan, Huntingdon blows them out. If Huntingdon play calling is stubborn like against Bruceton and wants to manhandle Cornersville on offense it may get tight.(We have seen that 2 other times against Cornersville) There is no reason for that. Defense is not a problem.

You just can’t man handle cornersville, they play hard. Even when they don’t play good football, they play it hard until the very end. That game against Fayetteville city was a golden example of that

  12. Dawgs can hang in this one if they decide to play with some passion. They have some big time guys injured though. That means back ups are gonna have to step up and not only play well but keep their heads with no penalties, arguing with each other, or arguing with their coaches. The running backs, receivers, quarterback, and o line are gonna have to have big games if they plan on going to round 2 because cornersvilles defense just won’t be able to hang with Huntingdon.

I somehow missed this score. I am shocked at the outcome in this game. Cornersville must be way down from what we saw in 2017 and 2018 to lose this game. Congrats to Huntland, but I’m stunned at this one.

Injuries have hit cornersville hard this season
