QUOTE(2priceless @ May 20 2007 - 09:44 AM) 826463329Yes, nationsupp, you were very vocal for us in our quest at state in basketball and I have always appreciated you. BUT...I don't recall seeing a post on the baseball board supporting us. That is why you were not mentioned. Of course, I could go back and check to see if there is one that I missed? Sort of strange that IF The Star meant no harm, that he hasn't been on himself to offer an explanation for his post. To me, that in itself sort of speaks volumes.
Good luck to Smyna and the Sonny Gray Show. Also good luck to the Warrior Girls. AND to Kaelin Griffith in the shot put.
Haven't been on the baseball boards at all to tell the truth, my post on this thread was the first I've said but I supported in spirit. The Star hardly even posts at all and I doubt he's even been on here since he made that post. It's over though so let's move on.

How is that not stacking?
If THS plays Siegel's girls they will have a tough match. I expect to see Siegel girls lose to Houston in the finals.

QUOTE(2priceless @ May 19 2007 - 02:59 PM) 826462904He said it would be a cake walk......insinuating that Cleveland was not a threat and no good. If I were from Cleveland and read that I would have been absolutely livid thinking Oakland was cocky and looking to the next round. If that was supposed to be a compliment, it was a rather twisted one that we didn't need. Odd that he didn't wish us luck nor was there another post on earlier threads complimenting us or giving any other backhanded compliments? The only Siegel poster that seemed to be for us was siegelnation07.
Odd you seem to forget ME. I was for you.
And I don't think he meant to stir up Cleveland fans, and I SERIOUSLY doubt he did it for the sole reason to get Cleveland fans mad at Oakland. He simply stated that he expected Oakland to have no problem getting the win. Maybe somewhat a bash at Cleveland but NOT trying to stir up controversy against Oakland.
In any case, Cleveland proved they are a force to be reckoned with. I'll root for Smyrna to bring it home for Rutherford county /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Some fairly tough matches in there...who does SHHS play in state semi-finals?
-
Actually 2p he was saying that Oakland has a great team. He wasn't doing that because he hates you. Basically he complimented Oakland for having a heck of a team and didn't expect that Cleveland would pull the upset. Don't try to turn it into something it isn't.
As for the Pats, I hate that they lost. I think they deserved the state berth, it's a great group of guys and I grew up with a lot of them.

I didn't even know Koehler/Uzzle were playing together. They should play Wilkinson/Greer at some point right?
Singles-Chadwell/Wishing in the finals tough to call, Chadwell might get the slight edge
Team-Siegel/SH in the finals

AAA-Siegel and Science Hill should duke it out

QUOTE(icecold06 @ May 17 2007 - 10:20 AM) 826461058it's funny how Oakland is probably the favorite to win it all Riverdale Softball has a good chance to win it all and Blacmkman will make some noise in soccer seems to be a special year for Rutherford CO. sports not to mention Smyrna football and Riverdale girls basketball
Siegel tennis /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
First time I've been to baseball boards. Good to see the Pats got the win. 2p I saw a big group of O'land kids at Toots night before last celebrating the win (Chaisson was with them...kinda random but was good to see him). Hopefully Oakland will go all the way this year. Murfreesboro is loaded this year it seems. Good luck to both teams but I will be rooting for Oakland's boys, as I have played with a few of them myself

The State tournament is finally here, starting Tuesday and going on thru Friday. Thoughts and predictions on both the individual brackets and team brackets?

How do you forget about a regional final? Bearden does not deserve to be in it if one of their players doesn't even show up. That's just my opinion. It's sad because I think they are a good team and could have gone very far

AAA-Houston

Wilkinson played #3 for SH last year. He beat Roger Briggs earlier this year. I don't know though, the lineup still may have Chris Smith at #1. Either way, Siegel should win #1.

Yeah...our region is a cakewalk, all the strong teams play in the same district and we don't meet the winner of that district until the finals (if we get there)
-
Siegel wins region today 4-0 over tullahoma, only dropped three games total. How are all of the other region tournaments turning out? Region 4 individual matches begin next monday

QUOTE(Harris @ May 9 2007 - 10:02 AM) 826455340They will have to win at least one doubles. Last year Chris Smith and their #4 lost to Siegel's #3 and #5. It will be tough to win if it goes to doubles vs. Siegel. Thats assuming they split the top 4 and Science Hill takes #5 from Siegel. If Siegel were to win 3 out of top 4 singles they will be state champs again. Regardless, will be a good match to watch.
IF Siegel/Science Hill do play:
#1 Siegel
#2 Science Hill
#3 Siegel
#4 Siegel
#5 Science Hill
It will come down to doubles not matter what if these teams end up playing

Might wanna work on that spelling /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Probably easier than Brentwood, yes. Brentwood is young and talented but Siegel should win without having to play doubles if Siegel is playing well.
