NCAA Should of gave Tennessee the death penalty but that's hard to do three years later to a group of kids that had nothing to do with it or even knew who Pruitt was.

That didn't stop the NCAA for decades when they actually had some guts, and teeth. They're nothing but a weak, gutless, entity now, who bent over for UT once again, like the did with the UNC football and basketball scandal.

Who brought up disciplinary actions? Cause I brought up academics. If you're wanting to bring up disciplinary... that was an issue with Station Camp what 5 years ago? Since then no incidents to my recollection. Hendersonville shot a Beech kid with a pellet gun.. the Hendersonville kids weren't even athletes at Hendersonville, just students. How about last year when Gallatin football players destroyed and stole property at Station Camp's facilities? And congratulations, you listed the one Gallatin player that went to Pope in the last 5 years. Station Camp, Beech, and Hendersonville lose 10+ a year and you're still losing to them.

If you knew as much as you claim, you would know about the current issue that has been kept quiet with Hendersonville! One football player is facing adult charges for a serious hazing incident that took place in the locker room, while others are spending their days in the alternative school for their part in this. Don't believe it? Ask around, dig into it and hear what goes on at other schools in this county that gets swept under the rug or hushed up, but anything that happens at Gallatin is the lead on the six-o'clock news because some in that county want that to be the narrative!  I can surmise you are one of those individuals.

Been wanting Oakland to play Beech for a long time just 2 well coached teams that love to run the football. At first glance, I see this playing out like Oakland's title game last year did. I think the Patriots have a few more athletes and are a little bit better on the defensive side of the ball

I've seen both teams twice this season, and will politely disagree that Oakland is better on defense. I think both defenses are equally tough, and physical, with the Beech backers of 0 & 13 being better than the Patriots as far as physicality goes. I think Oakland is better in the secondary with 5 leading them, but Beech isn't going to try to throw it much.

Where Oakland has the advantage and what I think will be the difference in the game is overall team speed. Oakland has more of it and more potential to make big strike plays, where as Beech will have to grind it out on the ground with their Maryland I and power game with 7 & 26 and their QB's.

Coaching here will be a fun one, because both coaches have multiple titles to their credit and will likely have great game plans for this one.

I think it's a good game, Oakland pulls away late for the win.

So because I call out the coaching job for what the record is statistically been proven to be, I'm the next Bill Bellichick or Gary Rankin? The players given does not match the record. Doesn't match the @$$# whippings. I see we have another softie in here that doesn't like the truth.

Players given? The only soft thing here is your ability to recognize real football talent! There's no doubt that this season's team left some games on the field, but as to the actual 6-A talent, Gallatin is lacking in the trenches where games are won and lost. Perhaps one of Gallatin's line on either side of the ball would be able to crack the two deep at Beech or Oakland!  Not a single one of those same young players will play a down of college football above perhaps the NAIA level. On top of that, they were soft, and much weaker than the best team's they faced, other than Mt. Juliet, who they managed to beat in week one. If that game were played again in week 11, Gallatin get's boat raced. Yeah, I'll put my record of work in both college and the NFL evaluating talent against yours anytime you want to go for it!

We'll worry about a State Title once we can just simply get back to playing a winning brand of football. How about we just get back to the days of 10 years ago when they were consistently getting either getting 7, 8, 9 or 10 wins every single season? Shockingly, as soon as Lassiter retired they immediately fell off. Hmmm.....Coaching.

Late to the party since I don't come here often, but you're obviously a football savant, so why don't you apply for the Gallatin job, or another school's position?  I mean you're the Bill Belichick of keyboard coaches and would turn any program into Alcoa in short order!

As long as you don't have a paper trail they can't do anything about it.

Oh there’s one school where the paper trail DOES exist.  However,  that school is protected by the director of schools who has threatened another school if it is turned in to TSSAA. There are multiple ineligible players by recruitment and the Drew Maddux touch rule.

    Ok, so now I’m curious...

Was it the Watson rumor (completely off base I’m certain) or the Smith County opening that made you join?

Either way, welcome and I look forward to your input.

Both actually. I've been a long time lurker/reader but decided to post because I know for a fact that there is no truth at all to the Watson to SC rumors. I've heard it from multiple people involved on both ends.

Well this post made absolutely no sense. What exactly was the point of this post?

Reading comprehension is not your friend I see. I'll break it down for you. Watson isn't going anywhere and my sources are impeccable, unlike most of these cheese head posters on here. I've been involved in HS sports in this state for 30 years and I don't post crap or rumors just to hear myself type. That was my first post and I'm sure some dimwit was about to comment on it so I was getting ahead of those comments. I now return you to your mostly uninformed driveling comments and conversations.

You must be on staff at Gallatin...

I would suggest taking this time to figure out what’s wrong in Gallatin rather than building up your Coach.

I'm not on the Gallatin staff, and not trying to build anyone up, but I can guarantee you all these sources who say Watson is leaving are dead wrong and my sources are better than theirs. Yeah, I know I only have one post, but I just got on here and will only post when I feel the need and have correct information. Been around this game in this state for 30 years and I don't have time for crap and stupid rumors.
