  1. I watched this game last night.  the tigers did what it took to win.  I have followed them the past 2 years once the playoffs started and they always seemm to do what it takes to win.  thankfully, now they are in region 3 which includes marion (one of the valley teams i follow).  I watched marion beat tyner also last week.  the marion meigs game will be a dandy.  this is the first game i have seen of meigs this year.  tyner looked way better than them on the hoof. for meigs to win the ball game says alot about the tradition they have, the coaching they have, and the way the players compete.  That being said, I think marion may have the upperhand in the week 10 matchup.

To the poster who complains about meigs in this thread - i only started following yall the past couple of years after i saw you play south pitt the 1st year. the only other "recent" memory i have of meigs is in 2016 when marion won 43-6 and it couldve ben whatever they wanted it to be.  be careful not to forget where you've been to get to where you are.  or maybe you are one of those people that just became a part of the program recently and have no idea what kind of work it took to get there.

Overall, still a great atmosphere for football, meigs.  I enjoyed myself.  See you in 2 weeks in my neck of the "valley"

  2. Marion County outlasts the ram train in a shoot out.  Both have a chance of beating meigs too in my opinion.  I plan on watchin this game and watching meigs play both of them.  im curious about how this region unfolds.  i thought bledsoe was a contender but the injury bug got them it looks like

We do not take the loss to Cannon County. They get the region win yes, but we do not take a region loss. As I understand it there was a possibility of playing Cannon the week of the Whitwell game. Whitwell as I understand it is trying to make up the game with Copper Basin (which is a region game for them). It would be nice to play Cannon that week if possible cause the Covid region win (against us) for them could play a role in which team host in the first round of the playoffs.

Cannon county making up the game doesn't benefit them at all.  It does dunlap bc they prob win in an actual game.  Cannon can take the win without having to play.  I doubt they are trying real hard to make it up.  None of the teams in this region will win a playoff game anyways.

Meigs in a cakewalk to their first gold ball this year!  Book it!!

I think they are a contender but i dont know about a cakewalk.  I watched marion on friday and they looked improved from earlier in the season.  cant wait to see the game between them.

    Bledsoe will win 28-14

?? This game was played last week.  Marion won 31 - 10.  Marion offense strikes fast.  Bledsoe was riddled with the injury bug.  Dont know the extent of injuries but hope they heal and are able to get back at least for playoffs.  With a full stable, i think Bledsoe is legit.

So far the jackets have only given up 6 points in three games this year. But Rockwood will be a big challenge. I expect a hard nosed game and will the tigers have any rust from having a week off? I think Kingston will be tested but I'll take the jackets 28-13 over the tigers.

rockwood will not be a big challenge.  you will name the score.

I think this will be a closer contest than the last few years but I think the chargers pull of the win  against the Wildcats after a good showing against a decently good signal mountain  team I think the final  score may look something like 28-14

Signal Mountain is not even decently good.

  8. I was at this game last night.  I was not impressed with Marion.  If Dunlap holds onto the ball, the game is alot closer.  Yall might be on to sometihng about Coach Pruitts approach to this game.  If Marion plans to compete, i think they have to improve.  Pikeville and Meigs are a little better right now i beleive.  I liked how Marion used 14 more last night.

I'd agree about our coach being one of the best in 2A. We are glad to have him and his assistants.

He has definitely made Sweetwater better. Sweetwater is hindered by their region strength mostly. They are rarely a bad football team. Having Loudon and Redbank in your region would make a region title pretty hard to get every year considering those two teams are normally top 5 in 3A or so.

Our line has improved some after every scrimmage. They should be about what you would normally expect on the line for Meigs mid season. We have a few good backs this year Keys and Shaver have looked pretty good overall.

Sweetwater lost to signal mountian last year.  They may play in a tough region but they dont even win the ones that they should.

The only time trousdale county  football is down is when the team goes to sleep at night. They might lose two games during the regular season and don't bet on that. Macon could give them a game but that's about it. In the 4th jackets take it over.

I don't doubt that a bit.  I have a lot of respect for Trousdale's program.  My comment was not meant to be disrespectful.  Just saying what I have read.  They are the team to beat in region 4.

First day in the books for our boys doing an OL/DL camp by Alabama. Coach Pruitt took 15 or 20 (not sure of the number) down to Birmingham. Linemen from all over the country at the camp. Good exposure for our kids.

Coach Pruitt is a dang good coach.  Does a lot for them boys.  He will have a dang good team this year.
