As usual, Collinwood's coach is being forced out to make room for an alum. Not certain which one that is yet. Wouldn't be surprised if Statom is getting a coach fired for the third time and preparing for his third stint as head coach.

When did this happen? I’ve not heard this.

Crow did you and big purple bowel movement just get off work at the cross dressing joint? Let me ask you a question. Is you two fellars spooning each other tonight? What do you have to say about your buddy big purple bowel movement dragging the Davis family through the ringer about cant pay their rent and rent gate? Get relevant and somebody might have something to say about your injuns. Only reason you on our website, greenbacks website is cause they aint a nary thing to say about the injuns.  I garuntee I had to go all the way to page 6 to find a website on Oneida injuns.  Pathetic!  I garuntee me and lady kee was cutting up a few weeks ago about her trying to buy a lodge skillet.  You think im joking but im not.

At one point a longggg while back, your post were funny. Now they are just trashy and always negative about other people.

I've seen posts on the Covington Football thread indicating that Haywood will get a turf field, and it is a done deal!

Following a presentation by Haywood Coaches Smith and Rebstock at Thursday's (April 8) board meeting, Joey Hassell (Director of Schools) tweeted, "School board gave the thumbs up to engage TLMAssociates in developing a plan for indoor practice facility with weight room for all as well as turf field and upgrades to stadium."

Since those plans haven't been submitted, funded, and approved, I wouldn't say it's a done deal just yet.  However, it does look promising, and I hope we get it all.

If you care to watch the presentation given by Coaches Smith and Rebstock during last week's (April 8) board meeting, I've listed the links.   The presentation begins at about the 10:10 mark.

I hope you all get this. Much deserved!

You should go back to some of the posts in 2013 as well as look into things Jasper coaching staff was up to at the time that was bad enough that TSSAA had to wait until all the criminal charges were addressed before dealing with issues.  Up until that time, Jasper had a lot of posters on here dog piling SP students and players until the truth came out. Heck, they made ESPN.   One still posts twice a fall, but many disappeared and a number of others did after the Ricki mess.  No slander.  Straight up fact.

I remember all of that, but I wasn’t on here then. There’s no need to go back and pull it up bc a few SP people always bring it up to keep it fresh in people’s minds.  Like I said previously I’m not from either school. I enjoyed following Don and then Vic. I don’t believe these boards should ever be about dogging kids or a coach either. The Tony guy on here is always mentioning Jasper coaches. There were only 3 that I can recall being involved and 1 maybe 2 still on staff. Instead of throwing jabs on here I just wish it was like the golden days—go up to the coaches you have the issues with. Wish SP and Marion the best of success this year!

It’s true the adults ruin it for the kids. Instigators on here and on social media have further divided fans of both communities. Like I stated earlier I have some great friends that are alumni at MC and still live there that are phenomenal people. It would be great if both communities could work together and do some new things here but until people get past this football rivalry it’s not going to happen. I think in the long run people will get over it.

Also a statement I made earlier digging up the past I shouldn’t have made it. It was intentional dig back at a few posters and looking back at it looks as if I was trying to throw somebody back under the bus. That was def not my intentions at all. That person is a lifelong friend and me even bringing it up was pretty insensitive and I apologize for that. Hopefully both teams move fwd and are highly successful and both can represent Chattanooga come December for first time since 1994.

Oh and btw that 3rd game is green lit and it’s gonna be a big one

It seems you and a few other SP posters can’t talk about Marion in any good light. If you have good friends in Marion, you must not be a good friend at all to bring up their past. People grow from it, but looking back at your posts, you like to stir the pot and friends don’t do that. However, there are some great people in SP on this board and that I’ve met. If you rent to the student athlete and are the one on the town board you should be ashamed trying to slander coaches from a neighboring school.  I’m not from either place, but I love this rivalry and hate to see it end. I do not think Mr. Grider would have broke contract though and I think you all might regret Grider not being there.

Coach Decker was an assistant coach at Dyersburg for eight years prior to becoming the head coach at Obion Central, and he was the defensive coordinator at the time he left the Trojans.  I have no idea about Coach Decker's future plans.

Anything I’ve heard about decker is good stuff.

I saw the messages. Appears Waggoner may not be in the running for the job after those comments anymore. Wonder if there will really be a mass exodus of players??

Ouch...I just read those. I would think this might hurt Waggoner’s chances. He seems like a very knowledgeable guy. When is the deadline for naming a coach?

In early February the Jackson Sun published an article by Michael Odom entitled, "Top 5 Jackson Area High School Football Prospects Signing in The Class of 2022."  Three of those prospects play for teams in Region 7-4A:  A.J. Barham (Milan),  Anthony Brown (Milan), Jaylen Lewis (Haywood).  I hope to see some good football out of these three in 2021.

The other two players were Kaydin Pope (Hardin Co, Region 6-4A), and Ty Simpson (Westview, Region 7-2A). I hope to see some good football out of these two as well.

BPM...You told me earlier in this thread that Milan would be slow and might have difficulty fielding a team.  Then, I read the above statement in another thread.

So, Milan will have TWO prospects in the Jackson area Top 5, and the Dawgs will be bigger, faster, and stronger in 2021. You've been sandbagging me big guy!  Milan will be loaded and will definitely be the favorite to win Region 7-4A.  I hope the rest of us can compete.

I’ve watched Pope play and really see potential there.

    Two points on that.

    1. There was a time not so long ago where the title games at Vanderbilt pulled 20-30,000. Put the games back in a central, big city that people like to visit, and the numbers should improve again, although probably not to 30,000.

    2. The new soccer stadium will be far, far nicer than Nissan in pretty much every way.

I’ve always thought the Titan stadium would be great. I’ve moved to Chattanooga from Mboro for a job opportunity, but loved the games at Vandy.

LRDAO.... Get out of here with your mess. That Davis boy moved out of Chattanooga to have a better life.  Why would you put him down for trying to be better? Sound like big purple bowel movement.  You think im joking but im not.

Not putting the kid down at all. I wish the kid all the best and hope he represents the area well.

Congratulations to the kid! TSSAA fixes it for once.

Marion just threw a big ole snitch can of fuel on their season and especially that game. I will definitely be at that game. As long as my Indians ain’t sitting in 1st place...

What does Sequatchie have returning? Last year didn’t seem like a good year. I work with guys from about all schools and I’m a Riverdale guy. I think east ridge won’t care to say they turned this in. South Pitt and Marion I think blame each other for any and everything. Good luck to your Indians.

Bledsoe and Marion are in same district so yes they play. Bledsoe run all over them last year. Bledsoe lost a lot though. Still should be pretty good though. Plus it’s at Bledsoe , I’m calling a tossup there. Sequatchie might compete with them. Will be interesting.

I enjoyed the old SVC back when we were all in it.

I enjoy the valley football. Bledsoe I believe will be down this year. I enjoy going to the Sequatchie Bledsoe games each year.

We gonna send buses to get them next year.

I’m partial in this. Just an old Middle TN football fan. I work in Chattanooga and we talk football a lot. I will tell you this and I’ve witnessed with my own eyes a picture that ER coaches have of Uhaul outside the East Ridge transfer you have. East ridge coaches are mad as they should be. Don’t know for sure, but they say the QB club arranged and paid for his moving.  Marion might not mind you sending buses, but just don’t pay with the QB club funds.
