  1. I think this game will be a good test for Milan to see where we are at now with our young guys. We have some young guys playing important positions for guys we lost for the year. They are talented but learning on the job so it will be interesting to see how far they have come.

  2. I think this game comes down to whether Huntingdon can consistently run the ball and control the clock against the Trenton defense. They may pass some but that’s not what they do. If they can run they have a chance but if not Trenton can run and pass and will score some points even against Huntingdon good defense.

I’m just glad y’all rebounded to win your 2nd game of the season or your feelings would really be hurting. Getting run over for more than 500 yards in a game will hurt your feelings every time.

Man that’s low. But seriously don’t forget to buy your minutes so you can get your tickets for the game Friday.

Looks like Bolivar's two game win streak might come to an end.

    Predictions as of now:
    Massey - Covington 46, Bolivar 7
    Cal Preps Hypothetical Match-Up Tool - Covington 62 , Bolivar 0   Ouch!

    Go Chargers.  Enjoy your homecoming.

I agree Bolivar’s win streak will end. I don’t know if there is a good time to play Covington but this week is not it.

Jackson Northside players and coaches cracking me up. Receiver bragging about lighting up Arkansas commit Jaylin Lewis for a bunch of yardage, when he was not covered by him all night. Then their defensive back coach is making snide remarks. Always been my opinion when you get your butt lit up on Friday night to the tune of 56-18 Coach Braxton Moore that you should refrain from pulling your own chain. Most college coaches don't like players who can't wait to post personal accolades after team gets killed. No wonder these programs like JNS are in the spot they are.

Yea I can’t believe 16-18 yr olds would make any statements like this. The coach maybe but definitely not kids. But at least you are putting it on here to set the kids straight.

Curious what other teams are in the same shape as JNS?

Are the taxpayers of Milan ok with their new stadium? Yeah: did they need turf? No. are they ok w g scott botching two coaching hires? Negative. 600 yards rushing against Milan is UNHEARD OF. Embarrassing. Next.

You obviously have an agenda and sad.

Now if we could just get said talent healthy we would be fine. I have said it so much I can’t believe people still don’t get it. Hard to win games with 5-6 starters out each game some of which go both ways.

I agree. We also got beat up pretty good last Friday with some more going down. Hopefully they will be ok this coming Friday.

I don’t have any knowledge of the situation, but it’s not good sportsmanship for one fan base to heckle another.  I hate to hear of incidents like this.

I think y’all play them at Haywood. Just expect a group of guys siting on your side trying to bait you and making fun of you if your losing. Not cheering. But this is normal every Friday night according to reddyrebel6 at Haywood and don’t whine because they will get offended.

Happens every Friday night. Usually people don't whine incessantly about it on social media

I’m sorry I thought you said in a previous post this never happens. So Haywood normally sits in the visitor stands at home and home stands on road and tries to bait the opposing crowd. Must be a new thing. I will be ready for all the Huntington fans in our stands next week.

Glad someone said it. Sorry the move to 4a hasn’t gone as planned, but take your loss on the chin. Haywood has been a dominant force in 4a for the last few years and there have been zero complaints on here about our fans behavior in all the traveling and competing across the state we’ve done in that time.  Funny that you guys show up, get licked and start accusing us of classlessness

Can you show me one Milan poster that has complained about moving to 4a? You sure are making a big deal about beating Milan and then saying we shouldn’t be in 4a. Which is it?

Started to let all this go unchallenged, but since I was at the game I can't let it go. First, the reason we had some fans on the Milan side (grownups mostly, not kids) was that the Haywood side was pretty packed by kickoff. Milan didn't exactly pack their side, which was kind of surprising. And yes, they did on a few occasions chant "Welcome to Class 4A" or something similar. That's just fans. Second, most of the yelling I heard throughout the game was directed at their own coaches from disgruntled Milan fans themselves - frustrated that their big prospect had one touch in the game and things weren't going too well for them. Haywood fans are generally well behaved and mostly pull for their own team. If someone was offended, then welcome to the crowd. Most games that Haywood travels to, we hear deragetory remarks all the time. One opponent deems it necessary too have extra security on hand when we show up. Another provides no benches on the sidelines and puts our radio crew in the stands. We just show up and cheer for our team. Don't just single out Haywood all the time. This stuff goes on all over the country. If someone is offended and has lost respect, so be it. Not going to apologize for some imagined hurt by a few opposing fans. Grow up.

First of all I will apologize for lumping all Haywood fans together for actions of a few. I appreciate Stacmots post and I respect Stacmot and Tomcatfan2011. I just started posting this year but have been a long time reader and I respect their opinions.

You are correct that other Haywood fans were sitting on our side and I actually sat next to a couple who cheered on Haywood which no Milan fans had a problem with. You can spin it or challenge all you want but there were a group of young men who started at the beginning of the game and actually waited till it was over and heckled some Milan fans as they left. If you didn’t see or hear them then I doubt seriously you were on our side or you had on rose colored glasses. They were there for one reason and it wasn’t to cheer on Haywood. The only remarks yelled at coaches or players were by this group not Milan. Yes we got beat badly and will again I’m sure. We can take it. There is a line you don’t cross and I’m not sure I can define it but they crossed it. When you have little kids asking what is going on and the players on sideline looking back in stands for what they were doing, that is not just fans cheering your team. Maybe this has never happened before but hopefully it won’t again.

Haywood has a heck of a team and good luck the rest of the year.

  12. Against Milan they loaded up on the run so if you can pass some you can hit some long ones. On defense everyone has to play their assignment and not try to be a hero or they will be going the other way for big plays. If they can run they will be content on running clock and will keep the ball away from you.

Don’t speak for all fans there sir. Not all Haywood fans are that way.

I know it was a few fans but that was some of the classless actions I’ve seen in a long time. Kudos to Milan fans for showing class and not responding and making it a bad situation. Lost a lot of respect for Haywood tonight for what should been their fans just celebrating their team.
