Hearing from strong source that multiple principals at Clinton HS are being forced to resign due to changing student(s) grades.

This fire started is most likely from inside the school system but from ACHS.

The Mavs are getting worried about the Dragons.

Yea, they have Davey quaking in his boots. Someday they'll even have a winning season.

OR is a MUCH better program than HVA. No one debates that. But OR underachieves every year and HVA don’t have far to go to overachieve. Those a just facts.

How has OR won  7 or  8 state titles if OR underachieves every year? How's that work?

Bearden coming on strong. William Blount coming on strong! Very surprised by the Maryville and William Blount game. Maryville and West could have easily been the championship game.

OR just played West and I was surprised they were the 4th seed in the region. Darn good team, They have everything, pure shooting, long, tall, athletic. Nothing not to like. It's the best combo length and athleticism I've seen since the mid 90s, Columbia Central had a team like that in the state.

Think i might make my way over to the secret city Saturday night to check this one out. Should be a good one to watch, plus oak ridge had good popcorn the last time I was there.  Nothing like a good bag of corn at a high schoolbasketball game.

Even though OR won by 15, that was a fantastic HS BB game. West is darn good. I'm not sure how we won by 15 looking back.

We got way ahead in the first quarter, West just wasn't ready and then they went into the zone press the rest of the game and they got it down to 6. Then OR punched back and spread it back out.

It was like a good heavy weight boxing match, both teams landed haymakers, OR landed 1 more.

West is probably the 2cd best team that played OR, Fulton was the best.

I can’t get over how much the girls have improved. They’re really hitting on all cylinders. The boys are slowly but surely adjusting to playing without Brennan, which has been nice to see. The emergence of the Sophomore CT (I don’t wanna misspell his last name, so using his initials instead) has been nice to watch. That guy is going to be really good.

He and the freshman backup PG are darn good for kids. They keep gaining confidence, that's good depth for post season

Spoke to the previous AD at an OR tailgate this season. Didn't have a resentful bone in his body. He enjoyed the party and the game, but by all means, keep trying

Mike loves Oak Ridge, always has and always will. I talked to him at halftime during a playoff game, I knew then Jeff wasn't gonna keep at it at HVA. He nor Mike had a clue about how Knox County is nothing but recruiting, they assumed it was high school football. Rude awakening.

Powell is losing their entire o-line to graduation minus one.  I wonder if they have boys to fill those shoes.  They had one of the best o-lines in the state.

By far the top run blocking OL I saw in 2023, not one else was close.

With the AD run off will that delay the hiring of the new football HC until they hire another AD, or will the powers that be wait until right before Spring Practice? Is there an interim coach in place to run winter workouts?

    Mullins?

Clearly the 2 men knew one another. But that was not the fault of any child playing. Just one dad running his mouth to the wrong person. Be glad that one Wasn't concealed carrying a firearm. That day is coming.

It was probably two dad's from Oakdale. Players didnt get involved until the other parents tried to break them up.

Inevitable, I just hope it doesn't happen in my presence.

That OL was awesome, IMO. I watched OR play Powell in BB a few weeks back, their QB is a big ole boy himself.

  11. Last night against Cleveland, you could see Shamar Green growing up, That kid shows 0 emotions ever, but, he made a couple of post moves that were very strong.

He and Coop together are such a luxury. The 2cd team is fairly good as noted above.

Gonna be a tough 2 games this weekend with AE then Hamilton Heights, the Canadian basketball factory in Tennessee.

East TN 4A will be Oak Ridge and Sevier County if I had to put money on it.  Maryville is only other team that I think could beat those two since they won vs Sevier last night.  DB and Sevier Co leagues are very weak.  Region 2:  Oak Ridge has a cakewalk in District 3 and then District 4 is brutally tough, but any of those teams could defeat a Region 1 Sectional opponent.  Still would not pick against OR and SC right now in a tournament setting.

OR and SCHS had a fantastic game last year at Sevier. 2 good teams last year. I know OR has lots back and assume SCHS does

The kids from Knoxville were in good standing. One had to sit out almost have the year before he played. I'm thinking you can live in OR and go to Clinton with no problems. I think. Doubt that Mike Mullins or Joe Gaddis are afraid or ashamed about how they did/do their job.

You can attend AC or CHS and live in Oak Ridge if it's the Anderson County part.

Really though, you have to be careful about such accusations.  We didn't check addresses on all the kids that moved from knoxville to OR a couple years ago.  Lets not act like WE want to check them once they went from OR to Clinton.  Obviously your AD didn't want to pick that fight, and I imagine we all know why.

There are always 2-3 OR kids who play for CHS every year. It's pretty normal. That's been a thing for decades. BB and FB.

    I guess split families, etc.

The ORHS AD is never going to say anything to anyone about them. Never has. Out of all of them, I've seen 1 I regret and it was Herbet Booker Sr who was a very good BB player. His son was fantastic for OR. I worked with Herbet's dad at the OR Hospital back in the early 70s.

Another one that would not surprise me if he  went to CHS is the big lineman that hurt his knee last season.  That kid's dad has a kid that played for OR and 1 played for CHS last year is why I say this.

Hate to say it for the ridge but while 9-3 was a good year it's not like he inherited a team without talent IMO this team should have been playing for a trip to Chattanooga this Friday

He should have and he knows it. It is what it is, I give credit to CHS instead of hating on Coach Rang. It was their game and we need to give them credit.

We have a lot of talent in the wings, as you are well aware. Btw, I think if Coach Green boy sticks with football he has a really bright future as a QB. I saw a lot of talent at Jeff and Robertsville, that when put together will be very formidable in the future.

He likes FB more than BB. Likely plays both. Very heady QB and R's QB has talent, too.

I watched the R vs J game and Jeff had a TE and WR that looked like they were 6'3" and could move. The WR can't catch it yet, but, he's just 7th or 8th grade.
