Congratulations to winning the weakest district in AAA.

I knew there would  be a hater that crawled from under a rock at some point lol. Coaches don't choose what district they play in. At the end of the day i do know this team grew a lot this year and took care of business period.

Just my two cents, I believe it should be like done similar to the play clock operator in Football. The home school provides the official book until the post-season, after that the games mean more and TSSAA should provide someone who is trained by them keep up with it. Everyone is human and I have seen errors that have affected the outcome before in the regular season and beyond!

But regular season directly affects the post season. So it should be a non biased party that does it at all times. I just can't believe that people can't just be honest and not cheat smh

That is surprising.  Lincoln County has a chance to make a run at the state tournament.  Tullahoma has looked bad the two times I have seen them play this season.  Just goes to show you that anything can happen on any night if you are not ready to play.  Have to believe Lincoln County will make a deep run and from what I have seen early on I do not think Tullahoma is good enough to make it out of their region, with so many better coached teams in the Upper Cumberlands.

Lincoln county didn't have a bad night and was ready to play. Tullahoma just played well and took that game. Sometimes teams have to figure out their identity and it's Coaches second year so he had some things to figure out as well. Not saying they've figured it all out and will win a state championship, but they'll be a team that you won't want to see later in the season. It also just shows Lincoln isn't untouchable and can be beat any given night by any team. Sometimes you have to give credit where credit is due. I have been critical of Coach Hibdon, but I've also had discussions with him to his face. At the end of the day the girls won and it was fun to watch and I'm happy they're figuring themselves out. As far as the upper cumberlands they're not untouchable, we just have to be better that night and we move on.

  4. Your best athlete for the wildcats is Khani Johnson and he played QB all his life growing up. I'd put him at QB the rest of the year and next year. He's mobile has played the position, can see the field and make the throws. Now i love Mason he's a tremendous kid and has actually done well understanding he's only played the sport 3 years. It's just hard to play QB at this level with that type of inexperience. It's a lot to put on a kid that has never played the sport, much less playing that position. In all honesty if Delaughter had stayed in Tullahoma, we would've destroyed shelbyville last night.

Pickett County now has Nathaniel Cobb who attended Allardt Elementary in Fentress County, but is from Pickett County. He chose Pickett County for high school. He is listed at 6'3" but when I spoke with him yesterday, he looked taller. He is an impact player and was a Tennessee Impact All Star player and should add a lot to a team already expected to go to the state. Being a freshman and new to a team that already has starters back, to be fair to those players, he might not start, but he certainly will get a lot of playing time.

If he's better than any of the starters, shouldn't he start? In sports its fair for the best kids to play in my opinion. I really dislike programs and coaches that play kids because of what grade they're in or because they've been playing there and a new kid comes instead of playing who earned the spot and makes the team better.

6 times in one post you implied “physical activity” with the coach by the other poster, sounds like some wishful thinking on your part.

Wow are you serious "Physical activity"?  And you're response is ok? You need to grow up and let grown men use the forum as it is intended.

Some of you are making your schools look awful (one whole post was just deleted) Please remember you’re representing them on here..

So you leave the post where someone calls someone a moron, but delete the response? What exactly was so bad that it needed to be deleted? The truth is the truth and what was said needed to be said. You should grow up and quit being so sensitive. Also my thoughts are MY thoughts. They have no bearing on how the school i support looks.

  8. What's the probability that warren beats CC for the district championship? I also heard on the radio that CC jv team went undefeated this year. But its all smoke and mirrors with them too, they got to pick and choose who they played smh. They didn't play all the jv teams of the teams that they played during the year. You're jv is your future, they need to be ready to help next year.  The coach should just get them girls battle ready during the year and be ready when it counts. He's wasting some good teams and talent just to have good regular season numbers.

  9. I think the tradition and all is great. It is very admirable that Mr. Haile thought enough of the middle school level to start such a storied tournament. With that being said though, it seems as though the competition has dwindled since the Tmssaa has started its state tournament. Kudos to the teams that still play in the JCH but the competition is in the Tmssaa tourney now a days. I hope they continue the JCH strictly on the history and not everyone will join Tmssaa, but at the end of the day the competition is moving to the new state tournament. Plus you get a ring when you win the Tmssaa tourney, Just like you would if you win the high school state championship. So mentally kids know what it feels like at the next level to win a state championship. Gives the kids some motivation to go compete at a high level!! Have they kept records on the JCH through the years? Who's won and competed in them. Where could one find that info?

LMAO - Must be a disgruntled parent or just a plain moron, Whitwell and Moore Co are the only 2 1-a schools on the schedule and Coffee played both in another schools tournament. They have a top 3 schedule in 4-a and played Lincoln Co 20-2, Blackman 22-2 and us (tullahoma) which they  play every year and always will, They haven't lost a district game in 5 years with that mediocre coaching lol, 34-0 against the likes of Warren Co ( a top 10 team), Cookeville a top 5 team, Lincoln Co, Lawrence Co, Stewarts Creek, and have 6 district championships in a row. My daughter plays at tullahoma and I wish everyday she had went to Coffee, she just might next year. They beat York by double digits and who I think is a top 10 team in the state regardless of class. Have they went past region, no they haven"t but they got eliminated by riverdale, blackman, oakalnd and so on. All in single digit games that could have went either way. They lost to Blackman by 3 the year we went to substate and Blackman beat us by 40 in region that year lol. You don't win 50 district games in a row by being mediocre, PERIOD. Do I think they will go to state this year, prob not, if I had to bet on it I would pick Bradley Central to win region on their home floor and I would pick Blackman to win substate on their home floor. Warren Co is very good and played us as well as Coffee, 1 close game and 1 blowout, so Warren or even Cleveland could beat Coffee on a given night.  Does not mean they are trophy hunters or a weak team, they are very very good. This senior class at Warren Co is suppose to be great and i hear all this praise about them and all the hate for Coffee, after looking on Coach T, this vaunted Warren Co senior class is 54-56, not even .500 lmao and this trophy hunting mediocre Coffee team's senior class is 112-11. We will proudly wear the red and black next year and hope to continue this mediocre run.

    WHY WAIT? ✌✌✌✌✌

I was at the game against Blackman and the basket was 100% good. I saw the AP poll today and Bradley, Coffee, Blackman,  and Rockvale are all top 10 in the state and warren, stew creek and cleveland are all very good, only 2 of those will make the state, doesn't mean the others choked just means its a loaded region. Yes we played Coffee to 6 at our place and it was a great effort by staff and players to slow it down and make 25 passes before we started our offense, only chance we had. If we had played Coffee's schedule we would have at least 5 more losses prob more, york would destroy us, Lincoln would beat us, Blackman would beat us, Central magnet would beat us, Shelbyville almost beat us and they are on life support smh

You really cant say outside of blackman what we would've done. Regardless my point to it all is don't downplay what we did that year we went to sub-state. We had a great team and accomplished some great things. Until CC does something outside of district it is what it is. Why have all of the talent they've had and never live up to the hype! I think if the girls play hard and stay focused the least they should do is make it to the glass house. If not it's just another year they had all that hype and couldn't get the job done. Honestly as much as the coach is hyped up I think he is the problem. He should focus on getting better during the season and getting a potential couple of more losses and being stronger during post season. But its all about looking at the records and seeing less than 5 losses each year, even if they never compete for the big games. There were closer tournaments they could've went to during Christmas that had way more talent to get them battle tested and let them see their weaknesses so they could strengthen them... but no lets go beat teams by 80.

The district championship was not the substate year, we won the district championship then lost 1st round of region, Coffee won the 1st round of the region that year as we were still celebrating our lone victory smh. Coffee went further than us that year is my point but we still celebrate that victory and most don';t realize we lost the next game and Coffee won.

Never said it was the same year. I said we've made it farther overall than they have with these "better" teams you speak of. What people don't care about is who you beat multiple times when you can't get the job done when it matters. Every other year we made it to the second round or better and they still kept getting put out with "better" teams at the same time or earlier. At the end of the day all i'm saying is quit bashing Tullahoma to make CC look great. We've never been the standard to compare yourself to when it comes to winning the gold ball, but have done some things they haven't. Until they do they'll just be a team that plays a weak schedule beats teams they're supposed to and chokes when it matters. Even the "win" against blackman this year was really a loss, the refs just had to make a judgment call that went their way. There are pictures and video of the ball being out of the girls hand in time, so blackman should've won that game. But it was a judgement call that had to be made by the refs and at CC no doubt and they called it CC's way. So until they do something worthy of all this praise they are who they are and no one fears them but small schools. They only beat Tullahoma by 6 at tullahoma this year, so what does that say. I respect the talent there, the kids play hard and have potential. But until you get the job done, potential means nothing.

We are 1-16 against CC the last 6 years LOL, iF PLAYING GOOD TEAMS MAKES YOU BETTER WE SHOULD BE GREAT BUT THEY OWN US, We have had 3 different coaches and Coffee dismantles us every year. I a realist, we caught a huge break and won 1 game after Coffee beat us bad all 3 games, they are just better, last year this year, next year.

That one game was the district championship Mcmurtry's first year. And why does it matter if they have won games against us? They don't win the gold ball because they beat us right? So that's irrelevant really. The point is to "own" the state not Tullahoma smh. Playing and beating good teams got us to a sub-state game that they still haven't made it to the last 6 years with "better" teams so.... Do you think that year their kids would've wanted to win district or make it to a sub-state game and chance to potentially make it to state? I'd say the latter, because you want the best chance to compete for a gold ball not beat your rival. We've gotten closer to competing for a gold ball in the last 6 years than they have so how good are they really when it counts? So what is your point exactly?

Yes we made a sectional a few years ago after Coffee Co had beaten us by 80 in 3 games. The only reason we made it is because Oakland upset Blackman and put them in Coffee's bracket. Coifee had already beat Oakland by double digits that year. I'm a realist and yes we made a sectional but Coffee was way better than us that year and caught a horrible break. Bradley, Blackman, Coffee, Cleveland and even Warren have a chance to go to the boro this year, to say coffee should be in the boro is ridiculous, Bradley to me is the best team and then Coffee and Blackman is a dead heat. All 3 are very very good teams. In order to make state Coffee will need to beat Warren in district championship, Cleveland in semis, bradley in finals and then Blackman in substate, very possible but not likely, odds say you will have a bad shooting night 1 game in 4. Hardest road to the state in TN. Coffee beat Lincoln by 50 and in my opinion Lincoln has a better chance of making state than Coffee. I also agree the numbers thing is irrelevant, you need 7 girls to play basketball so numbers don't matter. I do think a lot of kids dodge 4a basketball. D-1 players drive by Cookeville to go to Upperman. People turn down the Riverdale job to keep their kid in smaller easier divisions, Some people are happy winning the Poulan Weedeater Bowl, that's just today's mentality!!!!

It doesn't matter how many CC beat us by that year, if they were so much better than us they should've beat whoever they played right. We had to beat a team in Oakland that just beat Blackman right. So somehow that discredits us and our wins in order to make it to a sub-state game that we only lost by 8 at Bradley? Stop it would you, we earned our spot in that game. Don't try and diminish the body of work we put in to get there to prove a point about CC. We had a great team as well and competed at a high level and deserved to be in that game. We played a great schedule and fought hard all year to get there. How dare you act like because Oakland stepped up and beat Blackman it cost CC. CC playing those weak schedules and not being prepared for tournament time cost them. If they were so much better and that good they would've made it to the glass house regardless right, shouldn't have mattered who they played right? But like every other year they win district and crumble when it matters.  So pipe down when talking about Tullahoma and our accomplishments that year. WE EARNED EVERYTHING WE GOT THAT YEAR PERIOD.  `

There you have it folks! Don't anyone dare say a thing about Little Johnny and his performance. Don't bash the coaches because they have players out of position or their clock management is garbage. We live in a snowflake community. Do not criticize anything you see. You aren't a current coach so you can't possibly understand the situation. You are encouraged to go forward and explain to these coaches what they are doing wrong because we all know that will go over well. Everyone likes to be told what they are doing incorrectly. Do it in a loving manner with a gentle demeanor.

    All sarcasm aside...

Shasteen said it earlier on this thread. This site is for OPINIONS. Free speech! Fawhy, you can't take what every person on here is saying as gospel. Some opinions are better than others and some are more critical than others. As a former high school coach myself, coaches and players realize what they have signed up for. We used to explain to our kids at the beginning of each season that we all volunteered to be in these positions. No one forces it. If the season goes well, praise will be heaped upon us that isn't necessarily warranted. Likewise, a poor season is going to bring criticism from sources that you wouldn't believe and can be harsher than anything you've imagined. Don't feel too sorry for either group for what has transpired this year, they knew what they were getting themselves into and we'll see what happens going forward. That's why we love football because of the life lessons they teach. This group of players and coaches will either rise to the occasion and play well next year OR they will fold like a lawn chair. Let's give this some time and see what they're made of in 2023.

You absolutely have a right to an opinion. Actually what's wrong with society is people would rather complain behind closed doors than help a situation. Stop complaining and belittling the people that are at least trying to make a difference in the situation. trying to better it and help in any way they can. Like i've said before you can watch the practices, why not go watch and see what's being done instead of complaining and talking crap on a forum. That's the only part i dislike. We should be able to voice our concerns or displeasure for things, but also do what you can to help. All season people have bashed every aspect of the program but none have tried to help or even gain knowledge of what's really going on. Where were all of these people last year when things were going great and people said we wouldn't win a championship? I don't recall seeing most of you if any  saying anything good or bad. I said all year it was our year and we would win, faced plenty of naysayers and vocalized how i felt. Why were you so quiet then? But now all of a sudden everyone has an opinion and it just happens to be negative. That's a snowflake to me. I can't stop anyone from posting what you feel, but be a man about it and step up and help in anyway you can and quit just talking crap all the time. It's easy to kick a man while he's down but the true measure of a man is what you do to help that man up!!

They will be better because of a weak region next year and a quick exit from Playoffs.

    Shelbyville 1-9

    Lincoln 1-9

    Lawrence Co 6-4

    Franklin Co 6-4

    Tullahoma 4-6

    Laughable Region

You still have to show up and compete period. The same way we expect to get better, i'd also think these teams will work to get better as well. All of you football gurus have such a vast knowledge. Why aren't you head coaches somewhere? Why is it you have so much time to get on here and talk down about kids and their performance. Coaches and their inabilities (in you're opinions) to get the job done in situations you truly don't even understand. You're laughable, grow up and help or sit back and be a fan. Allow the people that are paid to do a job do just that. Again none of you that bash this situation are men enough to say it to these coaches faces and had and have the opportunity to do so. Grow a pair and say something or keep you're tail tucked and be quiet. These programs deserve 100% support, you don't do things perfect in your own life or get it right every time. I wish they had a forum and a microscope on your pitiful little lives so you could get picked apart daily by nobody's that think they know you and you're situation. Discussion is one thing, but grown men acting like entitled pricks is another. Just because you can say something doesn't mean you need to. Keep your negative uneducated opinions to yourself. The program and kids are in great hands and will be just fine. At the end of the day all involved work hard to accomplish a goal and only one team can be the champion. So a whole lot of teams fall short, it's the name of the game!!
