  1. Was good game. Both teams have a lot to work on going forward. Game was typical of the last three. This year things went PF‘s way.   Hampton is well coached and will be good this year.   PF is good at the skill position and o line is getting better.  Coaching staff keeps them in games

PF lost their best rb last year (35). Hampton has some really good skill guys and some young, huge linemen. PF typically runs a wing-t type of offense so should be a physical game on the ground both ways. I think Hampton at home is making me lean their way.

PF has a really good returning rb and retuning Qb who I understand has improved.  Skills are pretty good.   Should be a good game.

    :To the A.D. at Eagleton

You are riding a horse at full speed. There is a giraffe next to you and a lion chasing you, what do you do?  Get your arse off the carousel and pick one of those two coaches that have won championships in the State of Tennessee.

Any update on when they will announce this hire?

Once we know who all qualifies for single A in a few weeks, I will post my top 6 in each weight but to create some discussion, here are my early picks in each weight...

106 - Cole Dyer (Soddy) over Christopher Lagorio (Hixson) ... I would not be surprised to see Comes from Seymour sneak into the finals, but Dyer is the man to beat.

113 - JoJo Uhorchuk (Signal) over Tyson Flavin (Soddy)

120 - Carson Dupill (Greeneville) over Charles Duncan (Soddy)

126 - Ethan Uhorchuk (Signal) over Andy Cable (Pigeon Forge) ... this should be an awesome match!

132 - Caleb Uhorchuk (Signal) over Sam Hutchisen (Halls)

138 - Harlen Hunley (Halls) over Brody McLemore (Eagleville)

145 - Hunter Mason (Greeneville) over Sasha Warner (Polk)

152 - Colin Dupill (Greeneville) over Jackson Davis (Signal)

160 - Wyatt Howard (Pigeon Forge) over Thomas Magness (Harpeth) ... expect Turner from Soddy to be right there. He almost beat Howard two weeks ago. This should be a fun weight to follow!

170 - Jake Stacey (Green Hill) over the field

182 - Logan Heckert (Sycamore) over Gabe Ferrell (David Crockett)

195 - Kendrick Curtis (Fairview) over Rob Atwood (Trousdale) in an upset of the match Atwood won earlier this year 4-2. Lowery from Greeneville will be right there in the mix as well.

220 - Zac Crisman (Greeneville) over the field

285 - Caleb Wolfe (Pigeon Forge) over Ronan O'Connell (Page)

    Finalists

    Greeneville - 4

    Signal - 4

    Soddy - 3

    Pigeon Forge - 2

    Halls - 2

May be looking thru orange glasses but I believe Howard at 195 from PF will be a factor as will littles at 170

I probably wouldn't but Soddy has a very formidable brain trust itself with Ulric AND Shane coaching the Soddy boys. The turnaround in just one year is kind of crazy to see, I just hope the 106 is available Friday night as the Soddy kid is ok but the new kid is a hammer. It will be interesting to see how the weights are moved about as i think that is the only way PF keeps it close, even Signal did a little bit of moving that proved to win the match last night, moving Jojo to 113 to pin Flavin and let the other 106 beat Micah worked out well for them, but if Signal is the top team in A in the state PF is going to have a tough time with Soddy because Soddy had a good chance to win last night.

Also they didnt almost win it last year, they prob should have finished 2nd but they finished 3rd and lost to Signal who win it all by 2 but also Signal forfeited the last 2 matches since it was wrapped up already. Who knows who all would have won those 2 and maybe PF would have and both by pin and it turned out the same, but either way they lost to Signal.

If Garrett Foreman wrestles PF wins.   Last matches signal forfeited PF would have pinned.

you can be ready all you want, but if you don't have the bullets to matchup with someone else it ends up not mattering. I went last night to watch Soddy for the first time in 5 or so years. I was expecting them to get beat 15-18 points because it can be really hard to give up 18 points right away to the brothers, but Soddy has some really really tough kids and PF just doesn't have the same team they usually have as far as strength from top to bottom. I say its a 15-20 point spread at the end of the night unless Soddy forfeits at the end if they are far enough ahead like they were with East Hamilton last night. Also if the 106 kid gets eligible to wrestle for Soddy and I hope he does since his family did move to Soddy, he should be a good matchup for Jojo and it will come down to who has to send who first at 106, 113, 120.  I will eat crow Friday night if PF ends up coming close to beating Soddy, but I just don't see it, no matter how good your coach is, you still have to have the wrestlers to make it count.

So where does Soddy win 160 and up  plus pf has cable lower.   I think it will be really close. Will be decided by bonus points

Soddy should beat PF and maybe even handily. That Signal and Soddy match was a slugfest, first match Soddy kid has the pin at heavyweight, a good 30-40 seconds on his back, but gets called after losing the arm in the headlock, Soddy kid ends up getting pinned. 3 techs for Soddy that should have been pins. I also hear Soddy has a new 106lber that should be ready for the next matchup and if true his name will be familiar around here and will lengthen that Soddy lineup. Will be a tough time for Signal to repeat this year if Halls and Greeneville are the real deal also. If not it might be Soddy/Signal in the finals and a rematch of last nights slugfest.

I wouldn’t count Coach Forman out just yet.  Always has his kids ready

The final proposal was submitted by Alcoa High School and is related to Hybrid Schools. The proposed change was that student athletes who attend a Hybrid School must play within the district in which they reside. 40% of the member schools voted in favor of the proposed addition.

The proposals will be considered by the Legislative Council at their next scheduled meeting, which will be held on December 8.

Let me get this straight Alcoa is wanting to stop a school from getting out of area players?   They bring in players from all over knoxville but don’t want others to do it.

Ahhh, I forgot they were PF kids.  Would have been fun but the injury bug has killed them as of late.  Garrett and Howard last year.  Littles injured last year too? I really hope Garrett is injury free and can enjoy his time at Arkansas.  He deserves that.   And also their 160 injured just before states.  Rough season last year.

Yeah we had a lot of injuries last year.   Older Howard brother is finally healthy as of now and should be a factor at 195 or 220.   He had major elbow injury as a freshman playing tailback in football Look for younger Howard to be 160.   Wolfe littles and cable will all contend.   Team title will come down to 50-50 guys in my opinion.  Foreman is the best at getting those guys ready.

Guess the number for McKenzie to keep an eye on would be what Collierville and Bartlett’s number is. Collierville had 2865 and Bartlett had 2768. Next closest is Dobyns Bennett at 2364 and these were all last cycle. Don’t know if you watched the video but based on last cycle 2865 is the back end of 4 A. 1/2 of that rounded down is 1432 being the back end of AAA. 1/2 of that is 716 being the back end of AA and 1/2 of that is 358 which is the back end of Single A based on the last cycle. Whole deal will be interesting to see because it will be a four year deal. Never thought I would see a deal in Tennessee where a class would only have four teams at state.

According to video they will purpose a 4 5 and 6 classification system. Board will vote. I’ll believe they will change it when I see it

Me and the boy drove up from God’s country to watch these matches. It was great to see a class act program take down two programs who think their crap don’t stink. The way some of those boys acted on PF and Greeneville showed their daddy’s never went out back and snatch a limb from a tree and took it to their hind parts.

I told my boy if a coach ever tells him not to shake hands with another team, he needs to give his coach the ole Stone Cold salute and shake the other teams hand. Looking at you PF.

Signal was impressive all day. Dominating from start to finish. Maybe Greeneville will need to dump some more money into their hired mercenaries.

Look away. The coach from Fairview was cussing and being belligerent towards our kids. Even pushed one of our boys before the match. Pf was trying to keep it from getting out of hand.  You shouldn’t talk about what you don’t know.
