    1. I have sensed that a couple of Henry County posters have absolutely nothing else positive going on in their lives besides HC football. It explains a great deal of why they act the way they do on here.

    2. Page needed a 35-point 4th quarter, a literal miracle, to beat an 8-5 Henry County team.

    3. See #2

All that aside, best of luck to Page next week. I think it's Powell's year, but McNamara might just have something for them. We will see... As for Henry County. Don't sweat it. I don't blame other fans for circling the carcass. Pickens are ripe right now. But they will lick their wounds and probably be back with a much stronger team next season.

You know, there are definitely some good HC posters. Your one of them. While the fanbase is taken as a joke. It’s team is not. HC has a deep tradition. I mean heck one thing I’ve never seen HC posters talk about is the amount of alumni who coach across the state (HC at riverdale and centennial, DC at green hill) or people who’ve passed through the program and once coached at HC (Creasy at Oakland) and I’m sure there’s plenty more in both categories that I have no idea of. HC has a lot to beat it’s chest about and has a huge impact across the state. So don’t take anything I said as derogatory about your program.

    What happened?

Commish, your heart is in the right place. But here are couple of facts why you won’t get a response.

    1. HC fanbase is the most arrogant on the T. They love to talk it but are never there to answer the bell when things go south, like you all did last weekend. They don’t have as much class as the Springfield faithful.

    2. HC has been absolutely abused by Williamson county, this was their best chance and they choked it away.

    3. This is why HC is a joke to middle TN.

I watched it live last night, and I saw it in real time. I was blown away setting in the stands! So I came home and watched it on my computer 2 more times. Guess what I was right on the bad calls. Like I said it’s my personal opinion. Sir I don’t agree with your opinion. We can agree to disagree. Tight games like that refs need instant replay, because yes they are only human and they make mistakes too. I don’t care about 140 plays. The momentum changes when bad calls are made in a tight game.

Your response here sounds like sour grapes because your team took an L. If you want to improve officiating then join the cause. Otherwise learn the game, because your team had over 100 other plays to make sure their season didn’t end last night. Enjoy basketball season.

I love how Maryville shows class. Did you see when Maryville tackled Oakland James, Paterson etc? Maryville players helped them up. I do love the respect between the two teams. Both teams gave it their all! However I’m all for high school instant replay. Just my opinion example- Maryville QB Carson Jones did not fumble, the ground/turf can not cause a fumble. That should have been overturned. Maryville was marching and would have scored on that series. I try to not blame the refs for making bad calls, but I have watched the game a total of 3 times now. I have it recorded and played it in slow motion. I’m blown away at calls and missed calls! We need to implement instant replay, also the refs should be held more accountable for their calls. This is my personal opinion! I’m going to accept the fact that Oakland won. Next year let’s do it again, 4th round playoffs Mighty Maryville and Oakland. My hats off to both power house programs. Good luck Oakland in the state game!!

You do realize that you having to watch the game 3 times and in slow motion(your words) to see penalties is not the same as a ref having to make a call on the fly. Guess what stuff happens. 1 or 3 calls do not decide a game that has over a 140 plays in it.

Like I mentioned I listened to game that’s what the announcers said. No dog on hunt, hope Page wins and brings championship to Middle Tennessee but I think HC was best team and I don’t particularly like them.

Yea, only thing is the best team is the one who moves on. That’s not HC. But you keep believing what your radio tells you

No dog in this hunt but listened to last portion of game. HC is like the NE Patriots around here because their program is so strong year end and out. For that reason alone I was pulling for Page but I have to say that many factors led to loss

    The clock malfunction

The onside kick that was touched before 10 yards

The dominant line play that HC scored so fast allowing more possessions for Page

seems it was a strange conflux of issues that allowed Page to win they probably were not the best team last night.

I feel for the teenage young men that probably should have been in championship next week

People who spout mistruths like this are why our country is in the state it is. The ball went 10 yards on the kickoff. Also, before you tell more lies, it was a fumble on the last drive by HC. All you have to do is watch the replay on NFHS, it’s pretty clear. HC simply blew it.
