Hey Sheriff 5Star says it is true. Heading back to college coaching.
-
What is the pay like for this? Do you have to be a full-time employee? What did Coach Long do over there during the day?
-
Who will apply for this job? Could be a good job with the right person.

Hey Dawgz Yep I know Josh's got a bunch of haters but that's pretty normal for the greats. Right? And with those booster clubs they are always on about what have you done for me lately which doesn't really help.
No one's stopping us next year for sure. Bradley Central? They're losing a ton of their players so yeah they're not a big deal.- 1

Hey 2022 not sure if your talking with me here but honestly I don't even know the defensive coordinator. From what I've seen and heard though the guy is a top-notch coach. We probably lose him to a head gig next year.

Just wanted to say I think Josh gets too much flak for his recruiting style. He's not just about building a team he's passionate about helping kids play where they'll shine. Sure people might not like how he goes about it but it's all about giving these kids great opportunities. And hey with the talent he's pulling in next season is looking super promising. Let's cut him some slack it’s only his second year after all!

Resume' is legit! Has won 2 state championships been to a couple more with West and Catholic as a Defensive coordinator (maybe wrong on the catholic possibly position coach). Coached offensive line and Defensive Ends being a part of some really good Central teams back when he first he started coaching. Kevin Lane is hard nosed, great ball coach, and a WINNER. If I am Halls I would call him offer him the job and make him say no. If he says no I would offer it to Brent Hughes.
Sounds like a great canidate. Has he ever been an HC? What makes you think he would turn it down?

I am wondering the same thing but if Kevin Lane wants the job I think they will do it then, but I highly doubt he will take it if offered.
What does his resume look like? It seems like I’ve seen his name a lot here.

With Cummings leaving for OR, who takes the reigns with the Red Devils?

Josh Jones is the new head coach at Bearden. End of story. He is going to be a star.
Some of you all need to get over yourselves. What Bearden is doing is very progressive. Why should whether or not you have a teaching license determine your worth as a coach? It shouldn’t. Some of the best coaches in this city don’t work for the school system!
A lot of local players will want to play for JJ. He knows them all! That’s what he does best, identify talent and pull together a great group of athletes. Same with coaches. You’ll see a lot of coaches leave their current school to go coach with Josh- Especially in schools where the HC limits their potential!
Now move on! If you’re worried a “recruit” is going to play over your kid, maybe you should get them in some camps and encourage them to work harder!

Craney steps down at Central
in Class 5A & Class 6A

Hey Bigtime that is how it should be. Who cares what class someone can teach? What matters is if they can out coach there opponents. Guess what? They dont teach you how to coach football in college. Looks like central doesnt have anyone in school pushing for a coach. At my kids school the basketball coach talked the vice principle into hiring the right guy. He wins games so he doesnt need to teach a class. And guess what? The kids dont care if hes a faculty or not.
I heard they already talked to some good coaches dont know whats taking so long.
