If an HC poster will update us, I couldn’t make it tonight and I don’t think it’s on the radio.
Paducah Tilghman had an absolute field day against the Patriots. Ended up being Paducah 35-21 over Henry County. Henry County has a long ways to go on defense it appears. Disappointing after having such a good showing against MBA last week. Head scratcher for sure.

I don’t know a lot about the Memphis area teams but we heard the same talk last year about Memphis Central when they came to Springfield in round 2. I know going there will be tougher if we have to go to Munford, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
Absolutely. Good luck when that time comes.

That is why I have been typing HOPE to see Big Red in the third round. We will probably get Munford in the second round IF we make it that far. Of Henry County has to win their playoff games as well nothing is a given
Yeah it would be on the road for y'all in Munford, that would probably not be an easy task. But I really don't know much about them honestly.

Everyone says Springfield and Henry County will see each other again but let's not get ahead of ourselves. There is a giant lurking in Region 8 that Springfield will have to beat to get a rematch with Henry County.

And did it with an extremely banged up football team

This guy is someone who has played more ball than 90% of any Henry County Patriot.... Only one that comes close in recent memory is Andrew Jelks..... Never ask that again please......
I put IMO and that's exactly what it is, my opinion.
Henry does not scare me in the air 1 bit! And I believe the Jackets can throw it at will giving the time. Just my opinion.
Lmao

As a lifelong HC Big Red fan and a long time Coach T reader and occasional poster, this message board is not enjoyable like it used to be. The ole days of OldDevil, Prophet, Drewcephus, RedSwarm, SEC1rules, MSURacer, and others when there were actual discussions about high school football are a thing of the past. You notice many of these are no longer on CoachT, but I guarantee you they are at games on Friday nights cheering on Big Red.
There are a few newer HC posters that are over zealous and talk big/smack (very seldom actually discuss football) then get their feelings hurt when HC gets beat - even by a very good Beech team. Yes they can post whatever they want to, and get mad and take their ball and go home, and delete threads,,,, that is their right. Yes all teams have those type of fans. But I don't need that.
I will still occasionally read/post on the threads, but will always be a Big Red fan just like the other 3000-4000 that attended the game Friday. I guess I'm just too old for all this extra stuff, just wanted to discuss football.
Congrats to Beech on a very physical game - eers, Bump11, Tandem. As is the case in most Beech/HC games, a couple of plays are the difference between winning and losing.
Good luck the rest of the season.
Go Big Red
why not name who you was talking about as "new" posters. You named your old buddies lol. I just like keeping things real if you gonna go there...

I hardly ever post and just mainly read. The "new" posters you are talking about are clearly just having a good time on here and mean no harm. Maybe I'm just younger and get it idk. I see nothing wrong with anything being said. Looks like two fan bases having fun talking a little bit of smack. I enjoy it. I say keep it up. It makes things a lot more interesting than constantly talking about X's and O's. I love the passion being shown by HC posters.

It’s a tough schedule. I think 9-1 or 8-2 are the most likely scenarios. 10-0 is possible, but it would take a maximum effort from this group.
My honest opinion? I think we go 9-1 regular season and then finish 14-1….
I like the way you think sir

Who is the one loss? Just curious
Possibly Summit? I know they lost the twins so it may be possible to get that win too.

Just curious how people see 5A shaking out this year. Who is the favorites to be playing for a state championship and who's the sleepers?

GA kid is a 2024 LB/FB and the middle TN kid is a 2023 that can play RB/WR/DB/Rover. Very versatile
Awesome. Thank you for the info. Looking forward to August.

3 more W’s. McKenzie was kinda tight. I think it was 6-3. They’re very good at the skill positions, especially with Taylor. If anyone beats them in 1A I’ll be surprised. We handled Crockett and Milan well. Wasn’t quite as sharp as the Trenton one, but pretty sharp for the first day back after dead period. There’s a couple new players that moved in. One that played 6A Georgia ball and another from 6A middle TN. I like where we’re at this early in the season.
Sounds like good news to me. Just curious, what positions do the two new kids play and what year are they?

How did it go?

I don’t wanna call out anyone individually, but there’s several in Jr/Sr classes that have really added some good weight and speed. There’s a ton of leadership coming back and they’re setting the tone. There’s some sophomores that will help this team too. If they can keep the injuries to a minimum I think it could be a special season.
Good to hear. Thanks for the reply.

The boys are working hard. I know several that have gotten significantly bigger and faster this off-season. This team has a chance to do something. Lots of leadership in that locker room. They seem bought in
Good to hear. Curious as to who some of the ones that are bigger and faster?

Yeah, said y'all were 2-10 against Williamson County schools since 2015. Not 0-12, so congrats.
Just saying man...no need to be smart about it.

You could also argue we were “down” when losing to them, if we’re going to say they will be down this year. That’s all relative. If the change that was made in week 8 was made earlier in the season, Brentwood would’ve took the loss at Patriot Stadium last season.
This is 100% facts! Henry County also beat Brentwood twice at Patriot Stadium over the past few seasons. In my opinion Henry County was a better team than Brentwood and Page this past season but it is what it is.

Historically, Henry County is the winningest team in 5A over the last decade.
Yeah historically...

I know I'm biased but Henry County will be TOUGH this year.
Springfield @ Henry County

That's got to be completely false. He just went out of the game with leg cramps, he came back in the 4th quarter and led Henry County down the field for the TD and he ran it in for the 2pt conversion to win the game. He'll be fine...
