After mcminn dropping the ball the last two games to drop to 6-4, does mcminn beat an average Clinton team that beat heritage by 12, or does Clinton get the upset. I can't remember the last team these two teams played, may even be before my life time. If things play out how I think they should, I think mcminn gets the W and gets a rematch with oak ridge, final score=

The Cherokees end the regular season at 6-4 and second place finish. Losses to Bradley, Cleveland, Powell and the best Walker Valley team that I can remember. Cherokees not expected to very well with the loss of most of their firepower from 2022. Had to retool the offense twice...this year....once in the spring/summer and  again about three games into the season. They can't throw it all and still were in games because of their defense. Cagle and his coaching staff have done a good job. 

As for the Chargers.....Lost 18 seniors from 2022. Picked dead last preseason polling. Lost entire OL to graduation, In season injuries and illness have also had an effect on the Chargers. Been 9 years since the Chargers have won 7 games. Offense has averaged almost 40 points a game. There is a QB who has thrown for over 2400 yards, a WR with 70 catches and 1000 yard and a RB with over 1000 yards. Defense has struggled the second half of the season especially against the run. Still beat a good Tyner team and a state ranked Kingston team, The Chargers  will lose only have 5 seniors from this year's team.....only two are full time players. Future is bright at McMinn Central

 

Just upsetting mcminn has a very good to de out and Harbison and masingale both out at central at the worst time. I'm just a little down about it is all same with vols loss to Bama to ice the cake. I know im being a little hard.  It's just like sometimes its 2 different teams playing for both,  central a bit more tho. I know at central they should regroup by next year, not sure about mcminn county though, you are right I expected them to be down this year, so maybe they'll surprise me next year as well!

Moral victory is getting nearly 70 hung on you?? I'm disappointed and upset My team lost by 3. And honestly it is a product of weak schedule a good offense is useless without a good defense. Or at least a defense that could have it in a shoot out. William Blount Improved a bit over last year,but the record sort of inflates by how much, but honestly that's what wb  needs to garner  more interest or have my kids stay at the county school. Best of luck next season, any word if they will move back to a local region next realignment or not?

Yeah I honestly don't know what the heck went wrong since the Kingston game, It's like they've just straight up given up  at the end of season. It's honestly kind of depressing honestly.

Maybe they aren't I just thought they  were the middle Tennessee teams are confusing one year some team south of Nashville will be west then the next they are east kind of hard for me to keep up with my now that you mention that I do remember  them playing Powell in the state. In that case I'd probably have oak ridge/Powell as my second team behind west.

Stratford is pretty bad for a middle tn team around the nashville area. Shouldn't be much of contest in my opinion. Is east nashville still 3a

Scott may upset Austin east thought I saw they had around 7 player ejected against union county.

I think bradley wins in a close one at home. And sends the Bearden bullies into the 2nd seed both with home games coming into the playoffs and a possible region 1 sweep. I think Cleveland, Farragut, or Maryville can beat Jeff County.  I think Jeff would possibly beat Farragut but hard to beat them twice even at home, I think Cleveland would edge them out with their speed and qbs, and I don't think Jeff County is quite ready to beat Maryville.  I think the final score Thursday night will be

I agree dadof2, and we we will root for Meigs if we get put out of playoffs, if both mcminn and central have a home play off game it'll be hard for me to choose which game to go to. Central vs Watertown would be better mcminn vs Campbell county. Or if they both lost central vs dunlap would likely be better than mcminn vs Clinton
