lol at the Sweetwater fan hopping in your to flap their fingers on the phone... as if that dumpster fire is too hot over there. Rats running from the flames lol

Actually at the meigs game bud, watching central get dominated. Sweetwaters program is in better shape than centrals… go look at that all time record and take this beat down meigs is giving y’all!

It’s ironic that y’all are crying daddy ball but all the while you’re saying you it’s ok for sweetwater ppl to play buddy ball. That’s why SHS celebrated going 8-2 like they will celebrate beating Chatt Central or Polk County like the freshmen is Peyton Manning. I feel terrible for that boy. It’s like the Baby Gronk situation where the parents & the small town politics will bring unnecessary hate. I hope the kid goes D1. I hope Slover does too. For a sophomore playing varsity he did pretty good. If Dacus beats chatt central & Polk county it is no different than Slover’s performance. If he completes 4 passes but they gave it to that RB and they win with the running game, the word around town will be Dacus is the end all beat all. My point is that you all wasn’t going to give them a chance any ways. Programs like that hold kids back and I’m not surprised no kid has signed an ncaa football scholarship from there in ages. What some of them parents need to do is come up the interstate towards Knoxville. They will get treated right!

Like I said you don’t have a clue. Slover wasn’t very good at all, and the only buddy ball that’s in sweetwater is when slover brought it with his son. I’ll refrain from replying to you again however, well cause like I said. You don’t have a clue

I have nothing to do with the program and I’m not a fan, but if a coach is playing a kid just because it’s his son and not because of his talent, that’s wrong for many reasons. The school had a tough decision to make.

Exactly and ppl are saying should have waited til the end of the season? How is that fair to the one that should be playing? How is that fair to the assistant coaches who asked him to make a change? How is it fair to the seniors who asked him to make a change?  Slovers comments were disrespectful and confusing for ppl outside of the program. Slover got what he deserved. He put his son in a terrible spot as well.

Here is some honesty. They both Dacus & Slover are JV. And Dacus is not that better if at all. Don’t let the Tyner victory go to your head. They lost everyone from last year & are mostly freshmen & sophomores. Tyner is not a very good football team. If the Slover kid lost to Tyner the same way no one would write they are in the right direction. Even without a star RB or LB Tyner still should’ve been beaten by 21+. They also have a brand new coaching staff. They aren’t good & from what I hear from some ppl who know the game that were there said Dacus played a decent game & nothing special. I feel you guys are trying to justify adults affecting kids in a negative way. The Slover kid has feelings too that no one seems to care about around there. They are more worried about their kid playing a game and not how it hurt the Slover kid. Dacus would only start in Sweetwater as a Freshman. I bet there are upperclassmen who could’ve handed the ball off because that’s all SHS has. SHS has a great running game and they got a beast in the backfield. But I bet kids college recruiting was affected. But hey, as long their baby plays, to heck with the other kids. They hired him. It would’ve worked itself out during the season. Stick it out and handling it after the season was the normal proper move. SHS is a laughing stock & the kids didn’t deserve it

You seriously don’t have a clue and obviously haven’t even watched sweetwater football. Sweetwater lost to Tyner dude. Dacus actually played very well and threw the ball well. Those RB’s you speak of well our best one is injured and out. Our two best defensive players were also out. If you’ve even watched the two kids play there’s a significant difference. If his daddy didn’t put him there he would have never earned that spot. Slover is a great kid tho. Super respectful and straight a student. So is Nolan Dacus.  Dacus is just a better QB period.  So next time you wanna give me some “truth” let’s make sure you even know what you’re talking about.

IF Sweetwater loses to Chatt Central then that will settle the QB battle debate. If the kid is better then this will be an easy dub.

Truthfully there isn’t a debate, anybody that has seen both play or has eyeballs can see who is better…. I have no affiliation to either kid just wanna see what’s best for the team…. It’s night and day really

What’s crazy is people defending the bs that was pulled in Sweetwater. I’d be embarrassed if the HS did this at my children’s school. No one really thought of the kids. I’m sure the Slover kid’s feelings are extremely hurt. And the freshman QB most likely didn’t ask for this or needed this kind of attention or pressure over a game that is supposed to be fun. Adults are ruining youth sports. If there are kids  who are trying to get a scholarship this may affect their recruiting. Small town politics. When was the last time a kid got a scholarship from an ncaa team there. Slover  definitely has connections with universities especially Tusculum. It’s sad for the kids all around

No coaches playing his son who doesn’t deserve it is ruining sports. The best kid should play. This isn’t pee wee football

Yep definitely the biggest dumpster fire in the state for sure. Sweetwater has put inself in a position no one worth a crap would want that job and no one did this to them, they did it to themselves.

The basketball situation is completely different. Coach Henderson was a great coach, but there is way more to that story than ppl know. Coach has a lot of issues personally he needed to deal with. These are two way totally different situations… the football situation is a guy playing daddy ball and not actually coaching the kids.  The administration to a fault always keeps things super hush hush

But SHS is a joke and everyone who complained look like fools. The whole state of TN is laughing at them

I don’t have a kid and am not affiliated in anyway, so try again. You are talking about something you don’t have a clue about. Name drop all you want. There was assistant coaches, parents and administration telling him he needed to make a change and his comments are just spiteful and makes him look stupid. He questions core values and character yet he’s sitting a kid who was clearly better for his own kid who can’t run or throw to play the position…… I won’t disrespect his kid though because he is a wonderful kid who is a straight A student. But he’s not a starting varsity qb

Why are the defensive coaches not getting fired? Because you & I both know that the majority are Sweetwater boys. Last year was the 1st time they had won 8 games since 2002 so what does that say? And last year’s team were good and getting coached up right before they got to SHS.

You clearly don’t have a clue, the freshman is WAY better and it’s not comparable. And #5 is Jeremiah Paris and he’s a stud and he was running the wildcat formation at qb Friday night. Kid isn’t a qb tho, I do agree he needs way more touches and he got them last Friday. But as far as a qb the freshman is gonna be a stud and he’s head and shoulders above slover.

I never said sweetwater played bad, they did the other night and all yall wanna do is lay out excuse there was time sweetwater was a good team, but there was also a time central fed sweetwater their lunch .Teams have ups and downs except when central has a bad season we aren't crying. At least central had the balls to play mcminn, which you could argue sweetwater has plenty of reason to have a rivalry with, they played them like 2 times since the 50s and just Gave up. I've heard mouthy sweetwater  fans my whole life and they have a couple a bad seasons hear and there and it's always complaining and excuses, sweetwater ain't gonna reload always its a small town it happens. So keep living In the past or play the games that are in front of you and do something about it.

I usually agree with you but the series isn’t even close with sweetwater and central.  Congrats to central on the win and I hope we can figure out our mess and fix it and rectify this season. Still have the talent to make a little noise in the playoffs if the team comes together.

  11. I’ve said it since before week 1…. Our qb situation is nothing but daddy ball. The freshman is hands down better and it ain’t close. Slover is gonna keep it up and get ran out of town before he gets started.  But congrats to Mcminn central, they seen something on film with our secondary and exploited it all night. Why we bring our safety up to our linebackers I’ll never know
