Wow you’re really struggling in life huh. Man up accept the meeting with the coaches and go explain how to win. You seem to have all the answers. When would you like to do that?

I do every day, but if it makes you happy I will. Just send me a message with the meeting link, cameras mandatory, so they can see the disappointment in my face.

Yea sure and I talk to Nick Saban about twice a week. I’m just trying to get you an invite to talk to the coaches. But I knew you wouldn’t accept anyways. You can bring Margret, Indian1989, Indiangrad89 and whoever else you got. Just trying to get you an invite.

I'm serious. You can think what you'd like. I have insider info on this. Whether you like it or not. I would not get on here for no reason. Derek knows what it takes to win and knows that brooks isn't the answer!!

I’m trying to comprehend if you actually have a brain. I actually know one of the coaches at East I can set up a meeting and you can ask any questions that you want to ask. Maybe you have some great insight of the game that they are missing. What you think you up for that?

Which one? I know one pretty well myself, and we both agreed that the new coaching staff did not have our Indians ready to play against Tyner. I'm not trying to argue, I just want what's best for East.

I’ve seen the region week before and East have a lot more talent than what they had this year and go 5-5. We’re all sorry that your blue devils got put out in the second round had a good run at it though.

I'm trying to comprehend what you mean when you say blue devils. I've been a believer in them their indians sense I graduated in 89. We've had success in every sport but football. Until we get a new coach in there, we never wheel have any state championships.

I can see you woke from your winter nap. Rest of your  3 characters taking a nap as well. Good thing know one cares about your thoughts on Brooks. Coach of the year in small schools in middle Tn and coach of the year in the region isn’t bad for the first year. Basketball won a title which is great but how many years did it take for coach Caton. You probably don’t know because you and all of your 3 characters are swinging on your brother Pond. So when you grow a few brain cells and want to have a normal conversation let me know. But until you grow a pair and want to do that. May God Bless you

I'm having a normal conversation... State championships are better than getting absolutely massacred in the 3rd round. You're the one who made this conversation awkward.

Brooks took ER from being the doormat in the region to winning it in just one year lol.... I'm not sure what else you are wanting.. I would love for him to leave ER though so if you can get him out keep on!!!

Let's be honest, anyone could win that region with the talent East had and how down the region was. Coach laid an egg when it mattered most.

You don’t think East Rob will be in any of those? They have a lot returning

No because we have Coach Brooks, who is a great guy, but not the guy who will take us to the promise land.

Basketball team has a great coach and look at them, winning titles.

They were looking at PC players before the game and laughing but they weren't laughing when PC came back from 9 down to take the lead in the first half. PC missed a 1 and 1 with 5.1 seconds to go that could have given them the lead. PC is very small and ER towered over them but PC played them tough.

They have the right to laugh.. We are the defending champs. Show some respect.

Could you imagine? East will have a good upcoming freshmen QB as well from what I hear

Are you on here recruiting? What kind of NIL deal are you willing to give this kid? I'm down to donate a check for a couple of thousand. Just let me know!!

How many 20 year olds do you know who want to put up with crazy parents and coaches. Very few can spend $70 to register then a local association fee then $300 minimum on a uniform. $400 in the hole before you work your 1st game and I'm being lightly generous

Very true, can't argue that. I only know of one. I think we all agree that shouldn't be the purchase of the employee, but it should be the employer, but we know how that is, unfortunately.

lol Yeap I’m always looking at the positive minus a few 4 people on here

I'm not sure what you're deal is but, I'm willing to drop this whole thing, if you are!

In all seriousness, I do think we have another great shot to win the region nexT year. Maybe I was a Bit to harsh on Coach Brooks. I guess I can give him a few more years to implement his system fully. I'm just glad we are gaining the respect of other people and our players got some good playoff experiences.

A higher wage will keep older officials in the game longer.  Everyone I saw officiating this weekend had to be a minimum of 60.  The 6A game seemed to be called the best of the ones I watched.  A development/training program is desperately needed

I guess the question is how do we get younger folks involved more? I do think a higher wage will bring in more young referees. I have no issue with the age of the refs though. I guess, at this point, we will have to take what we can get.

Wouldn’t expect anything else!! It’s hilarious you got to make 4 different names to make it sound like people are agreeing with you.

?? I'm so confused, but ok man. Like I said, I apologize we have different opinions on things and you can'T Be respectful of my opinion. I'm just happy we have good teams to root for. Can we please move past this and look at the positives?

Does that include indian1989/ Egrad89/ Margret89/ CCLHL89. If your going to the basketball game this hit me up. Maybe we can meet this time and you not run and hide! Just have a small talk. But I’m not counting on it that you will accept

I'm not sure what you mean by your first sentence? I will be at a select few basketball games this year, but am not interested in meeting you. You're just looking for TrouBle. I'm sorry that you do not agree with my opinions.

A TSSAA football official makes $115 for a Varsity game on Thursday/Friday night. TSSAA added $10 if you travel over 30 miles to the school you're working $20 over 60 miles

They have to be there at least 1 hr and a half before kickoff. Games are typically 3 hours. They have to drive to and from the game. Sometimes they are offered food after the game sometimes they aren't. So $115 for 5 hours of their time. Good money? Not hardly.

I'd say the average age of a TSSAA official is 50+

All you have to do to become an official is go to www.tssaa.org pay your $70 and pass a background check and you're in. Oh yeah drop about $300 on your uniform and equipment and you're good to go. Hope to see some new faces next year instead of these 75 yr old men hanging on to get their 50 years of service award

Hit the nail on the head FL.

Schools have to pay for the officials in the regular season. TSSAA will pay for them in the postseason. However, schools cut out the TSSAA a check for each game.

Laughable!! Just ridiculous.. where does all the money T$$AA profits go to?

  18. 2 minutes ago, TryNotToSuck said:

Can't do better pay for officials. Schools are paying a "gas fee" for each official that travels a certain distance. Schools aren't really "paying" for that, they're just rising admission and concession stand prices to offset that. So the fans are basically paying for that at certain schools. Now, I do believe the reason behind that was due to the huge rise in gas prices that we all went through months ago. By the way, "better pay" will not equate to more consistency. It doesn't mean the officials will better at what they do. It will equate to officials staying in the game longer and "officiating for money" when it's probably best for them to no longer officiate.

The schools have to pay for that? Wow, learn something new every day. That's honestly embarrassing on the T$$AA'$ part.

After watching many games this year and seeing all state championship games, it’s obvious referees struggled with consistency of basic rules this year and were flag happy in many games. With a lack of refs in the association, it won’t get better. So, what’s the answer for more consistency? Better training? More preseason scrimmages? Better pay for new officials?

The pay has to be better to get people out to do it. It's not even worth it, losing your Friday nights with your family, plus having to travel. The T$$AA makes enough to give the refs a great check each game. They don't even have to pay chain crews in the regular season.
