This is a response to look for and there are people wanting to help make these events happen I’m one of them but seems like only asking a few people makes it difficult for the people who want to help know it’s being wanted in the first place.

Cougar, do you want a girls event? Put Tennessee versus Georgia on in the same location I have somebody committed to help fund it. You have talked all this trash, now let’s see where your work ethic and your commitment is?

There was 1 girls match at WN1 450+ girls in the state wrestled in region tournaments alone and 1 girls match satisfies you but me not doing ranking for state did not satisfy you so you asked why I would treat them differently then the boys..

yet you not asking the same question when it actually comes down to treating them differently then the boys..

I am not treating them differently, but I am not a coach. Have you reached out to the TNUSA Board to offer help? Have you reached out to Josh B. To offer help? Have you done anything at all other than getting on Coach T and criticizing? Unfortunately what you are wanting to see requires work and commitments. Why don’t you get off your #### and help. You could call Mike Hatcher or Josh B. And I am sure they would be blown away if you could help them. Right now Josh B. Is working his #### off to get teams put together 14U - Juniors! All I see you do is complain, how about helping with the change you are requesting.

no, you’re duplicating something that is already being done. I simply said, if you don’t like the current situation, do something about it instead of just complaining on couch T.  That is what is wrong with the girls programs in Tennessee, everybody wants to complain. Nobody wants to do a darn thing! Unless it directly benefits their club/high school.

It’s just weird to have events going on and we can’t as a state add girls to the events.
think there are 6 TN girls currently ranked in the country 3 in the top 10

1 top 15 and 2 top 30 why not give them an opportunity to shine as well.

There were girls at the WNO!

I’m curious to know why we could not get the best girls in TN and the best girls in GA together as well?

Same question for the WN1 event we had in TN and we only had 1 girls wrestling match.

Why don’t you do your own event! Instead of complaining about it!

With Brad commenting right above me I have to brag on his kid a little....sorry buddy

Landon tore his acl thanksgiving. That's the beginning of the season. The doctor basically told him "you've done as much damage as you can do and won't do any more damage to the acl. So you can go, but it will be EXTREMELY painful". He didn't just win a state title on one leg, he medaled at Beast of the East, Knockout Classic, ran through the Drennan Classic and didnt miss a single dual for that Summit squad.....on one leg, while in more pain than I can fathom. I wrestled, my whole family wrestled, most of my friends wrestled, and i STILL cannot imagine what Landon went through. I've been high on him all year and may have talked about him a bit too much on here, but that's why. What he did this year is absolutely incredible.

Landon Desselle, on two healthy legs, will be a monster next season.

Complete, Stud! Had an amazing year, conquered adversity and got the prize! Love these kind of kids. I hate he is hurt, and hope he gets back to action quickly!

I’m not treating them any different I don’t do the boys Rankings I do the Girls and So I myself Choose not to do them. Nobody Pays me to do the rankings you can post who you think will win that’s cool but I won’t be posting them.

Have not saw you make a comment all year on anything related to the girls so why start now.

Sorry, did not realize I could not make a comment, or there was a time limit.

I will not be posting rankings for who I think will place at the girls state tournament.

I have thought about it over the past few days and debated on why not post them.

The answer is because I’m a supporter of growing girls wrestling and want each girl to find their own success and that starts with having a clear mind going into state. I don’t want to cause any negative thoughts for any girl wrestler competing during the state tournament.

I know someone will have something to say about it and that’s fine.

I look forward to enjoy watching the state tournament and watch how it turns out just like everyone else.

Good luck to each girl wrestling this coming week.

Why would we treat the Girls any different than the Boys?

    Guess everyone agrees with me

If you mean by “agree”, that you are a Father Ryan Homer, who wants your kid to not have to wrestle competition. I absolutely agree with that! I also agree that you have zero understanding of the rules and how it works. I’m sure you are that person who manipulated brackets in AAU so that your kid could try to get a state title. Unfortunately for you that won’t work anymore.

McCallie is down and has been down for a number of years.  Unless someone forces The McCallie School,  Board of Trust to change their philosophy I don’t see McCallie getting back to their glory days in the near future.

Baylor has adopted the philosophy that even though they have a middle school they are showing no signs of developing talent.  It appears as if they will continue to recruit enough talent to fill all of their holes.

I had heard that Baylor brought in Edward Holland to run their club, who I have been told is a heck of a good coach. I believe he worked at McDonogh in Maryland where he trained a ton of kids that are currently in the division one ranks. To me it looks like they are going to develop internally and bring top talent in. Some of the coaches up north seem to think they could be the Blair or Sem of the south. Will be interesting to see what happens. I watched their head coach wrestle for Michigan State, he was a Stud in College.

I didn't realize Paradice and Sturgill had transferred in which is why I threw out the statement as I knew someone would come along and add their knowledge of the situation.  Another question, is Ollie Phillips also at Baylor now?

How many of the Fargo AAs graduated this past year, any at all?

    Phillips is there,
None graduated at all from what I have heard.

Yeah I thought OP was referencing the NC qualifier that is occurring this weekend.  Almost all of these guys were already qualified and nice to see they are getting mat time. Going to be fun to watch all the TN guys wrestle at Super 32 and  IMO it is the hardest folk style tournament in the nation.  No age brackets, just weight classes.  I've been to two of the last three and it is so darn tough, not to mention that unlike Fargo this is the style that actually matters for collegiate wrestling.  Only a very select few will spend any significant time wrestling freestyle during or post-college.

A notable name not yet registered but I'm sure he will is Colin Dupill (and his younger brother Carson for that matter) from Greeneville.  On another note it really stinks that Hunter Mason is injured in his senior year.  I looked for him to do really well had he been able.

Others I'd like to see enter: Luke Belcher, Lucas Szymborski, Bentley Ellison, and Cy Fowler.

Seems like Baylor and McCallie are way down in terms of talent that is capable of making a dent at an elite event.

    Great Take on Baylor!

Baylor only had 5 All Americans at Fargo, Paradice and Alvarez were double all Americans. That would bring the total to 7 All Americans at one School. Not to metion they had three finalsts with Alvarez, Askew and Sturgill. They also have 3 guys that have placed at UWW Trials. That was just over the summer! Has there ever been one school do that in TN before now? Alvarez is currently ranked 12th in the Country. That absolutely sounds like a team that is "way down in terms of Talent". Great observation! That took me 5 minutes of research to come up with. Oceansize42 is really kicking some knowledge today. Probably need to pay more attention to what is going on before posting.
