GC South Gibson will be a good one for sure. I do think the 11 days off hurt both Peabody and GC. Both teams can play better as I have seen both a bunch. We made a few more shots and that was the difference in the game because both turned it over a bunch. Do think both teams will play more poised down the road. Peabody, Gibson County and Westview all are good teams that can go deep. Westview losing their PG hurts them and I pray for her healing. She is super fun to watch. Haskins plays great defense and will be in every game they play. One is going to get left out and they all are good enough to beat each other. Very tough three teams for sure.

Totally agree! I hope for 2 outa the 3 to make it down to the Boro! Wish all 3 could but won’t be possible once they get into region.

I think that's probably all peabody is lacking and not the girls fault. But the two techs on peabody speaks volumes on what kind of defense they are playing.

Just my opinion, gc is gonna take it all in their district. And like pioneer said, lots of good AA teams. Anyone who gets to state will have a hard road but best of luck to them all. 

2 techs? There was 1 tech as a result of fans saying something to the girl and she responded in front of the refs and fans were warned also. Wasn’t anything to do with a play. Peabody is gonna play tough hard nosed , trapping defense and that’s not gonna change cause the kids get after it! When you turn one of the best teams in the state over 25 times that says something! Just don’t like the comment of smacking someone instead of acknowledging the kids playing hard and following the coaches game plan. And I say that outa a ton of respect for GC who will make adjustments. 

GC is very good! I agree they are favs, but Micah makes the  team go period! Like I said Peabody kids make open shots they win games, that comes down to the kids puttin it in the basket as with any team. Very dangerous if they do that. Same with Westview, they’re good enough defensively to be dangerous but they have to make threes to win.

Thats a comical statement when the foul count was even on both sides, maybe both teams were “smacking” each other lol…..  This wasn’t a blow out by any means by the final score… Peabody has one of the best defenses in the state, holding teams under 40 pts a game. They forced GC to turn it over around 25 times, the problem right now with Peabody is not making WIDE open shots and layups! And I’m talking WIDE open shots out of their offense! If the kids there can figure out how to make a shot they can be dangerous cause the defense and the offensive schemes are there  to beat teams. Just a matter of the kids puttin the ball in the basket! This was a high level game by both teams! 2 very good teams that can go deep! Micah is a baller! Best in the State! 

I think everyone kinda forgot about Peabody. This is a team that returns 6 kids that’s been to the state tournament 2 outa the last 3 years.. Working in a couple decent freshmen looks like with those 6 gives them a solid group. They will be very tough especially after first of the year when Coach Harts teams usually start playing their best basketball. Should be a tough tough district battle this year with new district!

Didn’t see either Huntingdon game but I imagine they were good games..

Peabody lost 2 off last years team, best player was one that tore acl at Christmas and didn’t play rest of year though, one other was a starter, more of a role player I’d say. They basically return main 6. If they shoot the ball well like they have this summer they will be tough! 

Hearing Peabody girls have had a really good summer! First 5-6 girls can play, working 3-4 younger ones in to get them ready for the season! Hearing defense is the best it’s been and scoring is coming along for them. I’ve seen them play JCS and Lexington at UTM and wasn’t a game in either of them, very impressed with them. I figured JCS would be a lot better.   If Peabody can  figure the scoring out they can be dangerous this coming season. They go to Dyersburg this week then Murray State to finish up the summer I believe. Talk is one of the best groups to come thru Peabody over the last few years, but time will tell. Very tough district this year for them moving up to double A after being barely over the cut off. Good luck to all the teams finishing up this week! 

Terrible decision by Middleton coach to try to hold the ball with over 3 minutes left! Lost them the game! 

McKenzie by 16 at least. Could be uglier !

Peabody gave them all they wanted thru the first half and into the 2nd half. Very well prepared and coached Peabody team! Congrats to Coach Hart and the Lady Tide on an outstanding year! Team faced a lot of adversity this year.. Would of loved to see how far this group could of gone if they’d stayed at full strength. Best player, leading scorer out and the point guard by a ridiculous suspension from the TSSAA! Overall great season, very over achieved for this group! Congrats!

Horrible job by TSSAA! Clearly the positioned teams from areas to play each other so multiple teams from that same area can’t advance on! Total disgrace!

Good luck to Coach Hart and the Peabody Lady Tide tonight!! Go get the game in Memphis! You girls showed why your one of the best Single A team in West Tennessee! Go get it!

What a game by Peabody! Dominated thru 3 quarters but got a little tight in the 4th quarter and let south Fulton back into it. Peabody never game up and hit the game winner at the buzzer! Unbelievable game! Congrats to Coach Hart and the Lad Tide!! Go get the Region Championship! 

Gonna be a fun night at UTM tonight with dresden vs greenfield and south Fulton vs Peabody! 4 good teams going for spots in the Region finals and substate games! This Peabody team keeps exceeding expectations! Kids play extremely hard and Coach Hart always has them prepared! Pulling for them! Good luck to all west Tennessee teams! Roll Tide! 

What a game by Peabody! Dominated the game! Awesome job by Coach Hart and the boys to go knock off the #1 seed on their home floor! ! Better prepared team, I’m not surprised by Peabody getting the win though! Peabody is a team you don’t want to see this time of the year! Will be a battle Monday night vs Humboldt in the Region semis! Again Congrats to Peabody and Coach Hart, why he’s one of the best around! Roll Tide!

Peabody girls keep rollin along picking up another district win last night at Humboldt to stay undefeated in district play! Looking for them to win the district again and battle it out in region for a trip to the boro! I expect it to be them, dresden and south Fulton for the trip! Coach Hart has both his teams playing some of the best basketball down the stretch again! Roll Tide!

Good win last night for Peabody on the road at Humboldt to stay 1 game behind Middleton for the District race! This Peabody group keeps gettin better and better! Keep an eye on them down the stretch. Suffered through growing pains early on playing a very tough schedule with so many new and young players but Coach Hart has them playing well at the right time! Excited bout the future for this group! Roll Tide! 

100% agree… TSSAA should step in and cancel every sporting event at Humboldt.. It is not safe to play there. This isn’t just 1 incident it is over and over and over. Humboldt will do nothing to get it taken care of, either incompetence by those in charge or don’t care. 

Peabody team is not playing good right now… have won several games and  close to beating several good teams but can’t pull it out.. I think this team gets better down the stretch as always but nothing is gonna be easy in the region. I believe top teams right now are 1. South Fulton, 2. dresden, 3. Peabody, 4.  greenfield then 5. Gleason in that order in the region. Peabody could be the best but they gotta come along and find something on the offensive end.
