What's wrong with a coach giving signals with his hands and face? That's the cheapest option besides yelling numbers out that are on a wristband.

So what is the official ruling on eye black? My son has made a cross with his eye black in every game so far this year, with every game so far having a different set of umpires. And not one of them has told him to wipe it off.
