Defense played really well, offense moved the ball but couldn’t capitalize on Baylors mistakes. Offense has some work to do. Clevelands def is ahead of the offense right now

To be competitive with Baylor at all has to be a good sign for a completely new staff.

Coaches also get paid. Players don’t get paid, the closest they get is a ring they get to wear for the rest of their lives, and if a player feels that he has a better option of getting that ring somewhere else, he should have all rights to do it. Just like coaches can get up and leave for different jobs for more money.

And players get paid in exposure and networking. Many kids only go to college because of ball and then learn the importance of education in school.

Also yes players get "fired" every week at programs.

Entristin. I see both sides but agree with the guy in the dawgs shirt. Coaches can transfer, teachers can transfer, honor society students can transfer for “better educations”, but let’s penalize athletes for taking a big chance to go to a new place hoping it will benefit them. It makes no sense. People quit their jobs everyday in hopes it will help them.

Correct. Coaches are notorious for job hopping to climb the ladder. One day they are at a team event and the next they are being introduced as the next head coach. It's not like Highschool athletes are under contractual obligations to stay. If programs want to keep their kids they need to produce enough positives to keep them, simple as that.

I think the team a lot of folks aren't talking about from the East that could be in the mix is Red Bank. A lot of talent returns from their semifinal team including the entire DL, RB and top WR.  Could definitely be a sleeper for sure.

Redbank will take a step back. One RB graduated and Morris is no longer on the team. They also graduated one of their ends.

I personally don't see that happening, but that's why I'm surprised it hasn't created more discussion at this point because he's closer to the program than some others are and I'm sure has reasons for thinking that's possible.

I'd say Bearden and Bradley are the only sure locks right now in the region with Cleveland being the wildcard.

I hate it that my source was right about CGR, but it happens I guess. You lightning boys got a nice un for sure.

Reynolds was asleep at the wheel at East. When CCS has to move up to AAA next cycle he'll either retire or go somewhere else. Boyd should handle CCS for years to come.

So Cleveland's new coach hired a guy that hasn't called a game on defense by himself yet?  That is hard to believe....  If true, heck of way to break in a young guy in that situation where real money is being paid for real results.....

As boogers booger I'll translate. He's saying Mr.BoydBB is in fact wrong about who called the Tyner defense. From what I understand Manes has actually only ever been a coordinator in his short career. Everyone will find out fast if that staff is for real or not come fall.

News Flash you had 5 D1 kids on offense , you could of walked to the line of scrimmage and been successful. " Blazing Fast " didnt do it the kids did. Yall beat who you were suppose to beat plain and simply. I didnt matter if they hired Andy Reid you would of complained cause its not the fast offense in America any more. Blackman needs a reality check . The program isnt what you think it is! You have yet to hire a knockout hire since Shads departure when the program was hot. Blaze did you cry when Tygard resigned ? You should of packed up and rode with him because you seem to think he was God's Gift the Boro. You put lipstick on a pig and it still will smell like bacon on the stove. 5-5 first year , 10-3 with 5 D1 kids on offense thats not a program or cuture. Give Kriesky a chance at least,  before you cry.  He will at least give you 5 or more years of stability

Those kids weren't "D1"before Tygard got there. It's called player development and knocking him for producing 5 D1 kids isn't the knock like you think it is. It's not like Blackman was getting a ton of Jr/Sr transfers that already had offers. Iv never seen a dude win 10 games and get so much crap for it.

No doubt but let's be real about something real quick. Tyner was the favorite for the gold ball all year. Meigs wasn't the Meigs of the past few years and Marion went through a coaching change. Region 4 wasn't as strong as years past with TC and Watertown being down. Them bringing in Manes didn't put them over the top. They would have won the gold ball with or without him. Not to take anything away from Tyner, but Alcoa was the only real force they played all year and we saw the outcome. This Alcoa team wasn't near as dominant as past Alcoa teams.

What'd he do on his past teams?

To be fair Tyner hadn't won a gold ball since 1997 and that defense broke the shutout record that's been around since 1900.
