BTW When you are running through a screen. You don't put your hands under her chin and push her backwards. Thats what 32 did to 24. Its on NFHS network. I can give you the receipt if you want.

hey dad it is not a intentional foul but if I had a daughter I would probably agree with you

2 players fight over the ball, same story all season.

Only saw them twice both against cookeville and I left thinking that the cookeville lady knew what she was doing

Their best team in 20 years. I don't think this group could handle any of Rick's Shelbyville teams. Or Lawrence Co/Columbia teams in late 90's. Dont forget the Coffee state title team.

Agree they are not better than that early 90’s team in coffee county.

Tullahoma and Cumberland tied with a minute remaining. Cumberland just had their 2nd intentional foul called on them with the lead. Every time they take a lead magically they commit an intentional foul.

watched this on nfhs after seeing Upperman dismantle Page.  refs were awful, Cumberland did not look very focused but was not impressed with Tullahoma either.  Neither are as good or well coached as Upperman who was impressive and Livingston academy.

The coaching in Region 4 is impressive.  District 7 has McWilliams, Riddle, Dodgen.  District 8 has Coffman, Hibdon, Tipps, Steely.  Lot of really good coaches with successful track records in that region.

Coach Scott at Lawrence County is very good.  Some of these coaches have come with a lot hoopla and not delivered.

I disagree respectfully. Reason being is Page isn't last years page but still has talent but the new coach hasn't seemed to fit with them. They have underperformed all year. Lincoln Co and Tullahoma by far have the best two coaches in the district. Tullahoma is long and athletic and gameplan really well and they have a stud freshman who can go. They made huge strides this year compared to where they was a year ago. LC is uber talented and can light it up from downtown and they defend really well. They are def the best team in the district and are a year older and playing in that gym is where opponents dreams seem to go to die. Great environment to play in if you've never been I would recommend making the drive to Fayetteville on friday night.

    Ok

Page was really good last year obviously making it to the state tournament. But traditionally girl’s basketball in the UpperCumberland area is one of if not the very best in the entire state.  More gold and silver here than anywhere in the state.

looks like page finished fourth and Lawrence finished third.  Lincoln county won it over tullahoma so I agree I do not think any 8aaa will win but maybe Lincoln County or Page could pull an upset if seeding is right.  They have the best two coaches in that district hands down

I still believe same 4 teams play in region semis next week

A lot of truth in this after watching the semifinals of 7aaa.  Very good Basketball on Saturday and high level defense as well.  I have not seen but a couple of games with 8aaa but from what I saw the level of play is higher in 7aaa.

Well let’s see what Joe Pat can do going forward. Beating Warren Co isn’t something to get too excited about. He’s got at least 3 D1 starters. If they don’t make the State this year then it’s going to be awhile before he’s got a team this talented.

Yes as we all know the next round has been his undoing since he arrived at Coffee County.  I am shocked at how many girls teams in the state are .500 or worse and playing in championship or consolation games for their districts.  Is basketball just that bad throughout the stat?

    Well dodgen blows another.

His Girls did not do him any favors with the turnovers and bad shot selections down the stretch.  It is hard to see a team of White County’s talent struggle with a press

After 3 straight state tournament appearances Lebanon, like most public schools, are going through a cycle of talent and rebuilding/reloading the past two seasons.   They have finished 2nd in the district the past 2 seasons to 2 very talented Cookeville teams.  Coach Barrett and the Devilettes will be a team to be reckoned with the remainder of the postseason as well as in the years to come.

This postseason? They were just beat handily by an average Green Hill team.

The district tournament is a mere formality at this point it really doesn’t matter on the seeding. All it’s for is to see who wears home jersey, and who wears a visitors jersey. The top four teams will play each other in an elimination game in the region semis. Those are the game’s that matter. It would not surprise me one bit to see any of these four teams win against the other one. Cumberland County, White County, Upperman, Livingston all very evenly matched.

So no teams from the old 8AAA can win against these teams since it is a formality? Page, Lawrence County or Lincoln County are not up to the challenge these juggernauts have to offer?  Are you expecting two teams from 7AAA to make it to Murfreesboro?

So you create a fictitious name to get on here and discredit Coach Cope all the while acting as if you’re rooting for him and his teams. What a cowardly thing to do. I was coaching at the time he took over DeKalb county and they could barely win a single game. Let alone finish .500 in a season or better.  Do you have proof of recruiting? Because you know that’s against the rules in T$$AA right?  So basically what you have said in this entire post is that he’s not a very good coach he has benefited from talent and openly recruited and that’s the only way this his teams have been successful yet you hope they can get over the hump… should we assume then that if they do it won’t have anything to do with coaching?  I’m guessing you’re a disgruntled parent maybe?

Sounds like you got all of it summed up in a a nutshell.  Since when did breaking any of the rules ever stop anyone because it goes on plenty throughout the state.
Disgruntled parent in Bedford County and not in Coffee County where we have plenty to be disgruntled about.

Cotton County has a great coaching staff. Before your head coach arrived Coffee county was not in the conversation for anything post season. The guy has won everywhere he has coached at so if I lived in that county, I would do everything I could to support him and the program instead of getting online and critiquing it. I promise you it’s a lot easier to sit in the stands and coach than it is to get on the sidelines and actually do it, trust me I’ve tried both and I’ve never made a bad call sitting in the stands, but I’ve made plenty on the bench.

I would say that Coach Cope has done a very good job while at Coffee County and has benefited from excellent talent and even better recruiting.  I would not go as far as to say he has won everywhere he has been, as the 126-102 record while at Dekalb is less than impressive.  Going 15-14 and 20-14 in seasons but only winning two or four games within your district is not being a winner.  Looking at more closely, for those that know Coach Cope was not shy about scheduling 6-7 HOF east wins to beef up that record.  Never having a winning district record does not make a winner, however scheduling cupcakes does.  All the best to Coach Cope and his team and I hope they are finally able to get over the hump this season.
