There are a few decent names that are current coordinators at schools in the applications stack as well. Some coaches desperately seek that head coach title regardless of the location, etc. I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

Agreed. Most people don’t know what they are walking into they just want the title.

The person at Greenback said he doesn't want his name on here.  So she won't tell me.  Said he's coached at Clinton, Grace, Fulton, AC, and Oak Ridge.  He's was there for 3 titles at Fulton and a runner-up at Oak Ridge.  Both years at AC they went 12-1.

Hope he gets it! Be good for them. Just need Jimmie’s and joes to compete with Coalfield, Rockwood etc

But I do agree that that should be a no brainer.  I just confirmed he has 3 championships and he has a runner-up as well.  He coached at Oak Ridge too in 2020 when they went to state but lost.

    Do you know a name?

I have yet to get his name.  I know he is from Knoxville.  This information comes from someone within the school.

I’m sure if someone with those credentials wanted the Sunbright job the hire would have been done weeks ago instead of no coach being in place one month before spring ball

Well there is also a coach that has 16 years experience and 3 state titles.  He applied for Greenback too which is how I know.

Sounds like a better option but I was just saying 4 years of experience isn’t necessarily none.

Nothing.  Only thing I know is they have interviewed only a handful of coaches and one of them was a current coach/teacher apparently at the school already.  I was told he has almost no experience coaching though but I can't confirm that.  Another I was told was from somewhere else and he has many years experience but I don't know anything about him other than that.

I heard the coach that applied there has had 4 years of high school varsity experience. 1 being at Oakdale, 2 at Stone Memorial, a 4A team that’s won the region 2 times in the last 5 years and this past year at the school.
