I would have to agree with you, but LA loses the only thing they had. The coach left for a reason. He saw what he was going to have next year.

You just dont know LA football! Yes they lost Cates, the thing that was 50% of the reason they won state but, if you would go back and look he ant been there forever! And LA has been know for its winning, tough, and hardnosed tradition club! They might not be a State Tittle contender but they wasnt last year either? look at them now? but they will be there to play every week and will lay a couple suprises on people wait and see!

LA is goin to be ready for tyner, this is gonna be a spring rivallary game if they keep this up! lol but tyner is a really good team to test your self against! they are just all around good! but i cant wait to see this one just keep it clean and id like to see this scrimmage every spring!

News in here from Livingston they will go into this scrimmage down one of only two OffensiveLineman returining from last season! Robert Holt is out for a not know period of time he had a freakish accident i heard today.....tuesday or monday he was mowing and slipped or something and the mower nicked his toes and they had to take one of them off and sow couple of the others up is what i heard...but keep him in your prayers!

Yes, still May 4th at Upperman! and i do believe there will be another team there so its goin to be a 3 way scrimmage i do believe.....Tyner i do believe! so it will be a good thing for upperman and LA both! so come out and watch this spring ball!

LA has most of line coming back. They lost Ford to TTU but center Robert Holt (6'5", 285lbs) was the center of the line and is coming back.

Man idk if your kin to Mr. Holt or not but your blowing him up! hes not the only one coming back! They have a freshmen returnin jessie cole (6 225)! and A junior Curtis Beaty also returning (6'2" 285)! they will be ok if Holt can get his pass blocking skills down he killed this offensive line at Catholic late in that game during the regular season allowing 2 sacks in the final 2 mins!

Holt - #70 at LA - 6'5", 285 lbs. and a JUNIOR!

Holt isn't 6'5" he is actually around 6'3" or 6'3 1\2", but with his size he isnt that productive he's an average lineman at the most! He is lil slow off the ball... and often top heavy so his runnin blockin skills are high but his pass blocking is horrible! Hes good but no better than average!

Catholic and Fulton game should be a great one.... Also AE and Catholic should be a fine one.....with AE and Fulton always being a great one!

LA lost some "SPECIAL" Seniors. Just as Macon Co. did in '03. It will be a great challenge for the Wildcats to follow the path of the '05 team. That was a "SPECIAL" group.

Ok im so sick of hearing about Wilson won state for these guys! Yes wilson is special and deserves alot of the credit and i love him to death, but put this kid in Jackson County do they win state? No it wasnt just cates he had 10 guys out there helpin him on every play.....yeah this team road him but he didnt do all the work! sorry but im tired of hearing about how he won state....if that was the case Livingston Academy didnt win state we are just another team like everyone else, Wilson Cates won state!...........Nothing against you Cates bc you dont take all the credit even tho you done alot, love ya man!

I disagree with your post MCTIGER, your never PERFECT so you can also improve so this team can go up or down......i dont believe these boys are like the Macon county team of 03 reached there peak and then fell to the bottom!

Matt Elderidge from Livingston Academy would be a good fit for this team, and after all i do believe his brother coachs basketball at AC so he could get a pull!

Livingston Academy's Head Coach Matt Elderidge stepped down from his coaching duties this week i heard........there any truth to this? and if so what is in store for LA?

From Livingston Academy we send our prayers! Didnt know him, but from the talent that i seen him produce for their DL and character of them guys i can tell he was a great coach, while also being a great guy!

DLine, kids a monster! he has been makin defensive plays since he was a sof. playing in the state tittle game! Kid is good, i love watchin him play!

1-2 Catholic\Fulton (no order)

3. AE

4-6 La\Kingston\AC (no order)

7. Scott

Catholic returns alot, with harrison smith being the leading cause!

Fulton returns alot also, Hamliton and Rogan being the best of them! But also a little more expericend QB!

AE always a playoff team with the speed and talent they produce there!

LA loses alot on offence, mostly and the biggest is Cates, but they return alot on D and always produce and very hard nose, never quit, never die attitude team to the table!

Kingston is one those teams that has poteninal to be a play off team every year about like AE they just have to learn to play up to it!

AC reminds me alot of this LA team very hard nosed, hard workin, tough team that doesnt just live on talent.

Scott do return alot on D but that was there weak spot this past year, they lose the thing that kept there offense goin which was the best part of this team, but D wins championships, Offense fills the stands, they will lack the O but they need to step up alot on D to beat these region teams!

As a Die Hard LA fan, I have to put in my word! Back to earlier about the rudeness, we LA fans ant whining about loosing, we was upset with how our kids where treated! Now you tell me why a D1 signee Wilson Cates would come back and ly about something like that? I do not think so! but anough about all that! On to my next statement LA will rule the district next year Upperman will be good but i have a couple names that says Upperman is in trouble! Matthews, Stephens, West, Ledbetter, Kilgore, and Carr! all returning With two outstanding freshmen coming up Shelby Taylor from Rickman and other girl from Allons! and my last statement i would love to meet MC in the State Championship game bc everyone remembers what has happen the last couple times we've brought home gold

Sorry to bust your Bubble but there is noway pearl can beat these teams! Fulton would beat you by 4 tds ask smith county what happend to them 2 years ago! and they are a team just like Pearl! 2nd Catholic would beat up on you just like fulton would! 3rdly AE would run circle's around you! there DL is faster than your RB! ...........LA will have trouble next year but they still would beat you! because they play in the BEST REGION IN THE STATE IN 3A its been provin winning they last 4 out of 5 State Championship! And winning the Last 3 in a roll! So you better stick to being happy that you get a chance to play a team from Region 2-3A!

Well let take a minute and look at this statement. From the way I understand this post you think she was the reason they didn’t make it to the State. She shot too much and wasn’t a team player. So I guess you think they could have done better if she would have spent more time on the bench and less time on the floor. I think Coach Smith try that while she was a sophomore, and they got beat the first game of the district tournament. I think Ashley, as did a great job this year, in helping her team to go as far as they did. I also don't think Ashley did anything that wasn't asked of her form Coach Smith. What I really think of your post is that you are just another jealous person of a kid’s ability to perform and stand above the other competition. To Ashley I say good luck next year, because it as been a joy to watch you this year step up and become a team leader. Just remember you are just another great one in a list of many that has play on the hardwood for LA, I bet they had people that was jealous of them also.

P.S. We would be glad to roll the red carpet out for you at Jackson County.

Thanks for echo'n my post earlier that just goes to prove i wasnt the only one watchin this team this year! and yes Ashley is a great player, but i believe that Coach Smith and some other people at LA would want her to stay put! So no need to roll out the carpet yet because i think it would get rained on.... But im sure Ashley would be thrilled to be wanted by such a great program!
