just making a comment. from your response, you must be one of the unicoi fence sitters. why not let the kids play it out on the floor/field. been beat up there and HAVE won on court and field as well. from your repsonse, I rest my case. thank you for proving my, and eveybody else's point as well. sometimes it better to be quited than to remove all doubt!
To answer your response I dont sit at the fence I'm with the crowd sitting in the bleachers cheering on my team... I do let the kids play it out on floor or field... And if you want to get on here and bash Unicoi that's fine shows how much classLESS you are as well....

for anyone to call Unicoi classess would be an understatement! they wrote the book. from attending softball and basketball up there , and experiencing the classless fans around the center field fence believe me, they are viscious. to hear them cry about it, it's everyone else. watch out unicoi, GP's coming to teach you a lesson in "class" - git ready!
To bring up softball on a basketball board you must be from a team that has been beaten by there softball team... Pretty funny...

I am also going with Unicoi County.... I wouldn't count them out.... Even though they lost 6 seniors they will still have a good team but, time will tell with everybody.... GO LADY BLUE DEVILS....

How do the writers make picks for all-state?
Winner gets ____ players?
Runner up gets___ players?
Other state teams get ___ players?
I dont think a team has to make it to state for players to be on the all state team do they....

Just because a team does make it, doesn't mean they have all-state caliber players. Remember, some regions are fairly weak. For some schools, if they can get out of their district, they have a smooth ride to state.
If Riverdale didn't make it to state this year and Cat still set the NATIONAL H.S. record for strikeouts in a season, would that make her any less of a player? NO.

I agree but, everybody needs to remember that no matter how good you are there is somebody maybe just a little bit better out there some where.... And your right softball is a TEAM not ME.....

Regardless....I think Stone beats Unicoi in a close game to follow Gibbs to state! I say 2 Region 2 teams in the top 5!
Good luck to all Region 2 teams....make E. Tennessee proud....because AAA belongs to Nashville and Chattanooga!
I was just looking at the schedule for some of the teams and did Unicoi beat Stone at the Commado Classic.... If it comes down to those teams I would'nt count out anybody.... The games should get better from here on out.... Good luck to everbody....

I'm glad that you can take teams that has played against each other and even some of the players has played together and be friends like some of them has.... I know that #1 has nothing but, respect for double 0s on EHS.... They have benn friends from the very start.... She said she will take the friendship instead of the strikeout (but, she would have really liked to strike her out) ha ha..... There is also a full page per player for coaches to make notes, record times, etc. Last year's Prospect Guide was over 170 pages (over 85 players).
Each player will receive our official Southern Showcase of Prospects T-shirt when you arrive, with "your" number printed on the back that corresponds with "your" number in our Prospect Guide. If a coach likes what he or she sees, they simply look at your shirt for your number and flip to your page in the Guide.
This shaping up to be our best Showcase yet. We hope to hear from you soon.

so it's been a while...but some things never change. it seems there are people around who love to sling it to unicoi when they get beat...they love to talk trash (whether it's done on coacht or not, we're not dumb...we ALL know it happens), but when these "trash-talkers" don't, oh what's the phrase....put their money where their mouth is...and THEY get beat, heaven forbid anything, trash talk or not, be mentioned about their loss. let's not live in double standards, friends.
i hope to make the game tomorrow, wish i could have made it to more this season...but...growing up is just something we all have to deal with.

Most of the people from over here didnt know anything about EHS getting beat. So dont say you guys to everything when one person says something,that doesnt mean everyone had something to say. And by the sound of it you were putting S.North down when you said that had to be a hard game. Thats not something you say to any team no matter how good or bad the team may be. Any win is something to be proud of. Good Luck to all the teams in district play.

11-1 Unicoi. Devils hit all three cyclone pitchers pretty hard. Cyclones need to regroup. The conference title is still there for the taking if they beat the devils at EHS since EHS swept So Greene and Unicoi lost once to them.
I was at the Unicoi and EHS game and yes the weather was not in either teams hands but.. what is it that they are tought to do? learn to play in any situation? The conference is still up for grabs but once again i still think that Unicoi will take it all. But good luck to all teams*

Unicoi has strong pitching.... Good game both teams played hard the only difference error on Unicoi,Elizabethton wins... Good luck to both teams the rest of the season....
