ok paul u always got my back lol

  2. I hear Logan's dad is going back to high school to get his diploma and finish out his eligibilty - will definitely be a force on the field. On the mound he commands a 47 mph fastball and runs a 47 sec 60.

How is it that you always get people on here that run their mouth and talk crap. do u have nothing better to do we know you cant play sports but maybe you could join the band.

  3. QUOTE(ruse? @ Jun 11 2007 - 01:30 PM) 826473847There was a nice piece on another site written about Jock Stinson, Fulton QB, class of 09. It's early, but with the whole recruiting cycle being pushed back further (South Carolina already has two 09 commits), Tennessee's talent pool growing wider and deeper, and Tennessee high school football not getting the respect it's due; it seemed like time to start a list.

To the best of my knowledge, last year there were only two players that earned All State recognition during their Sophomore seasons. Both are already receiving a lot of attention from the big name schools, and sites like rivals, scout, etc.

Eric Gordon who is a 5-11, 180 lb athlete out of Hillsboro is one. He really impressed this past weekend at Musical City Seven on Seven. Very quick, big time "playmaker", good hands, and the natural hip rotation that could make him a very attractive CB prospect.

Zak Tait who is a 6-4, 295 lb OL/DL out of Knoxville Catholic. Made the All State team @ DT, but according to rivals, etc. is also being looked @ by Nebraska, Bama, ND, UT, ect. @ OG.

2009 could be the year of the WR in TN. Here they are as well as others. Plase add them if you know em.

    * Marlon Brown. 6-5, 200 lb. Harding Academy. 41 Receptions. 780 Yards. 8 TDs.

    * Corey Jordan. 6-1, 180 lb. Hillsboro. Gets to work with and against Eric Gordan which can't hurt.

    * Zach Rogers. 6-2, 170 lb. David Lipscomb. Smooth, athletic, & could be faster than brother Austin @ UT.

    * Nick Thomas. 6-0, 180 lb. Raleigh Egypt. Leaper, great body control, and balance.

    logan poore6'2 220lbs.great hands,strong and smart,should have a big year at Mckenzie

    * Thad McHaney. 6-7, 210 lb. Brentwood Academy. Very impressive athlete. TE if he adds weight. Match-up problem, if not.

    * Cameron Mason. TE. 6-4,220 lb. Brentwood High. Nice hands, blocks well beyond his years.

    * Jamie Wilson. RB. 6-0, 195 lb. Knoxville Central. Fast, powerful. Cassen Jackson?

    * Wesley Tate. RB. 6-1, 180 lb. PJ II. Name sound familiar?

    * Will Gillchrist. QB. 6-2, 180 lb. Hardin County 1600 yards passing, and 17 TDs as a Soph.

    * Jock Stinson. QB. 6-1, 180 lb. Knoxville Fulton. 1700 yards passing, and 16 TDs as Soph.

    * Derrick Webb. LB. 6-1, 215 lb. Whitehaven. Instincts, speed, and "want to."

    * Cole Ticher. DE. 6-4, 225 lb. Brentwood High. Good feet, strenght, and leverage.

    * Austin Long. Briarcrest. 6-4, 275 lb. Nice frame, athletic.

Like I said, add em if you know em.

    ruse?

  4. There's this one kid...Adam Bridges who played CB at Knox Central last year (junior season) and I've heard he may be getting a look at WR due to the the players who were seniors last year. He plays smart ball, so we'll see how he makes the transition to offense, but I expect good things.

    Go Karns Beavers!

mckenzie has a new transfer from jcm in jackson 6'2-220lbs TE/QB.that is a player to watch this year he has good hands and is smart.his name is logan poore and after this year i think he will be moving up on everyone top list.

  5. QUOTE(NothinBUTThaTruth @ Mar 20 2007 - 02:22 PM) 826418620Word out of Mckenzie is that Glen "Bugs" Smith will be running for President of TSSAA. Logan Poore will be his running mate. These two have already led Mckenzie to the 2007 Class A state championship according to Butchie. Is there any need in playing this season for any other team? And also, don't forget about Clint Kee. He was a dominant JV pitcher last year for the running rebels.

and by the way logan would be a good vice president he does have a 3.7gpa

  6. QUOTE(GlenChervin @ Mar 21 2007 - 06:21 PM) 826419680its jus a nice reality check because the entire coacht nation is tired of hearing about Glenn Smith, Clint Kee, and Logan Poore......if it was from people other than their parents it would be ok but if my dad were to get on here and talk me up i would be pretty embarassed.

i am the father of one of the boys that all this talk is about and i have said nothing about my son that would embarass him or the other boys on here i only talk about what i have seen him do.all three players will go on to play college ball somewhere and all are very good i just dont understand why someone needs to get on here to run players and a school down for no reason at all.when the playoffs start lets wait and see who is still standing if it is mckenzie then great and if it is not well next year we will be even stronger.but for now just let the kids play ball.good luck to buggs, logan and clint.

  7. QUOTE(pitching scout @ Mar 6 2007 - 07:09 AM) 826401776I would also like to add that I too have seen Clint Kee pitch while playing in jackson fall ball and I seen some games in the 18u travel ball this last summer. I was very impressed with his patience on the mound. I've seen him get bad calls or fielders making errors to load the bases with no outs and come back and strike the next 3 out to get out of the inning. he has movement on his fastball that will fool some of the best. His curveball also will leave you wondering as your headed back to the dugout. I am going to predict a good year for him and mckenzie and I expect him to be one of the top pitchers in west tn. and possibly the whole state his senior year if he continues to work hard.

ok my list of top pitchers in tennessee are

    preston overbey-usj

    logan poore-mckenzie

    clayton gant-usj

    matt haynes-liberty

    buggs-smith-mckenzie

    josh lindsey-liberty

    ryan McPherson-jcm

    clint kee-mckenzie

they are not in any order and i know i have missed many so feel free to ad any

  8. QUOTE(NEWSTANG @ Mar 5 2007 - 01:33 PM) 826400630Overby and Gant probably sign d1. The rest have a long way to go before d-1 pitching prospects.

well ithink all canl play d-1 i have watched each and everyone of them and all of the pitchers named will have alot of learning to do because they are still very young.but i think they can all play d-1 they all still have alot of growing to do and they will only get better and the ones named and a few others that were not named could turn out to be one of the best crop of players to come out of tennessee in a long time.only time will tell but i think some of the players will surprise everyone.

  9. QUOTE(Redeemed @ Mar 5 2007 - 05:01 AM) 826400152I still say Clint Kee from McKenzie. I've seen some great games this past summer at Memphis State and in Florida. He traveled with my son on the Tennessee Stars. He is only a Junior but he can strike the best out.

kee is very good (oh man mckenzie is loaded more than people thought)

  10. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> I do seem to remember Cecil in his playing days. But it was with a pair of roller skates, and Oh My God at the long hair he was sporting. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

    [/q

i rember the hair ,oh how the ladies loved it.those skates have been put away along time ago (lol)

  11. QUOTE(hasbeen7 @ Mar 1 2007 - 01:40 AM) 826394479I keep reading about this Logan Poore who transferred to McKenzie. Is his dad Cecil "the broom" Poore who was an all-star catcher for the Mississippi Ballbeaters of the old WBL (Women's Baseball League) back in the 40's ?

i heard he played in that league it was with your wife i think, she sure is a fun girl ,the things that girl can do with a bat

  12. QUOTE(volsfan2325 @ Feb 25 2007 - 10:23 PM) 826389455JCM's Ryan McPherson, no doubt one of the best in the west.. was throwing 83 as a freshman, is now a Junior, runs a 4.3.. kid is a DEF. D1 prospect. Also at JCM is a sophomore, Ladd Caldwell, doesnt have much heat, but has one of the best curves I've seen lately.

USJ's Clayton Gant and Preston Overbey are two major pitchers in the west tennessee area! Overbey like McPherson throwing 83+ as a freshman and Gant hitting in the 90's.. USJ will be a beast this year

    preston overbey-usj

    logan poore-mckenzie

    bugs smith-mckenzie

    clayton gant-usj

    ryan McPherson-jcm

    josh lindsey-liberty

all are great pitchers and all will play d-1 ball, this is not in any order just how i could think of them

  13. QUOTE(volsfan2325 @ Feb 25 2007 - 10:29 PM) 826389466Yeah, I saw him play in the District Tournament and a few other games last year. He's really good, the best catch I saw from him was that "Willie Mays'' catch he made in district last year. Is he a Sophomore or a Junior this season?... One of my friends say he's gotten alot bigger since last year, didnt say in muscle or what.. so is he still as fast as last year ctpjack34? and What do you think his chances are for a D1 school?

he has gotten alot bigger and he is still very fast he is one of the best centerfielders i have seen in a long time, his name doesnt' get out there that much because he plays at jcm ,but jcm has a new coach and a new outlook on baseball people should start hearing about him real soon.and as far as going to a d1 school ladd has as much chance as any kid in the state to attend a big college his fielding is awesome and if he works on his hitting just a tad and keeps his gpa up because he is a smart kid i can see him going to a vanderbilt or tennessee or maybe a big ten school.he just has to get his name out there.
