I agree catholic has a great coach! But to say he is the best is a little extreme saying you have the loudon coach who has been the only head coach loudon has had since the school opened. If you have ever been to their field just look at all the banners on the outfield wall.......

shsbsbll33- AC's lack of pitching has now aloud them to win another and stay alive beating ND 10-3 with Chesney pitching a beautiful game. So i guess AC lack of pitching is not so bad after all saying their is only 4 AA teams left in the state.

Great game by both teams. At first both pitchers AC Byrge and Gibbs Housewright were both sitting people down left and right. AC had one good inning at the plate scoring 4 which was all Byrge needed to take the victory. Gibbs played a great ball game and were very classy. Now on the other had AC host Loudon tonight at 6:00 where classy is not in their vocabulary. I am sure tonight will be very heated between these two teams.

AA- Going with Catholic all the way go irish

Anderson County beat Loudon last night so AC is in the region. Loundon goes against Catholic tonight at AC in an elimination game and to see who the 2nd team to go to region is. winner of L and C play AC on Thursday to see who will stay home or go on the road 1st game of region. AC will have to be beat twice.

WOW what a nail biter this ones going to be! I am sure CAK is going to throw the big lefty which that will make them the favorite in my book but CAK will have to hit the ball also and play good defense. Catholic has a great defense also which really helps them out and good pitching... You know what I don't have a clue good luck to both teams....

i agree it was a good game but i dont think the should hve pulled lynam. he sould hve let him finish it after how hard he pitched the whole game i would have to agree with that also. Lynam pitched a great game i would have gave him a chance to finish it.

well i see your point on some of these subjects. But who are these 4 all-state players you are talking about? Plus you can't argue about only one district championship LC has been in the 1st-2nd-3rd toughest AA district in the state for like the last 6 years and normally is in the 1st-2nd region in the state. If you look at D4 R2 this year you will know what I am talking about everybody has beaten everybody. I also think Buzz can hold his own coaching he just needs some good talent to come through besides Jubal Ducan. And the case with Ty? Come on who wouldn't want to go to Farragut instead of LC thats a no brainer.

If you want to talk about rankings the new ones just came out on TBCA with 1.USJ 2.MILAN 3.ANDERSON COUNTY three great teams with three real tough schedules USJ and Anderson County's being the toughest. If you want to see the real rankings look at TBCA by the way AC is now 21-5 with a sweep over knox Catholic this week.

Buzz is a good coach. You got to give him some credit it must be tough down at lc right now. Things will eventually get better.

it looks like there are alot of good teams from the east TN that have a real shot at contending for the state title. Their will be a lot of really good teams from the east not even make it out of their district the competition is really close

Sorry i stopped coaching when my kid got in high school I let the paid professionals do that now. but hey thinks for saying that i must sound like i know what i am talking about!

If there is a split mon and tues with Catholic and AC then someone didn't play very well.

There's no telling about how the district will end up but i will make a comment on the district tournament. Loudon is tough but they are only tough when Justin Thomson is on the hill. Sorry to say that is all they have. Tournaments are one by the team that has the most pitching! By far one team stands alone.

OK I'll let you in on Knox Catholic they already have 3 losses in the district and they have AC who is 1st in the district as of this moment monday and tuesday. Catholic will not make it out of the district let alone the state tournament. They are not that bad just don't have enough pitching or hitting. Especially when they face AC who is pumped up coming off a good win against seymour at there place. Catholic is not going to be happy when they see Cody Pack and Matt Byrge on the hill monday and tuesday. Cody with a good mid 80's fast ball and Byrge staying around 87-89 all day long. Just ask Seymour Byrge came in in the 4th inning of that game and they didn't cross the plate again. No disrespect to seymour who played an awsome game. By the way i see Seymour going a long way this year But not Catholic.

WOW i don't know what you are thinking but here it is AC is 1st right now at 6-2 and the rest are still tied at 5-3 AC has the strong upper hand at the time keep in mind that AC beat CAK in both district games 11-4 @ AC 16-0 @ CAk so i don't think you can say CAK is top in that district

Great game by both teams. Seymour started off the first 4 innings playing awsome fundemental baseball while AC couldn't find whole through Seymour's defense. AC then brought in Matt Byrge who had a great outing that he really needed for a confidence booster. Seymour had a tough time getting hits after that and AC started finding wholes and a couple of big doubles by a Senior and freshmen. Ball game could have very easily went either way Great coaching by both teams. I see these two teams meeting in May.

AC is the much better baseball team when it comes down to it! Its not AC fault that Brentwoods big bad #1 one pitcher acted like a little baby when he couldn't throw a strike. It's not AC fault that Brentwood doesn't know how to field a bunt! It's not AC Fault that their runners are fast and stole bases at ease! Last but not least it's not AC fault that Brentwoods left fielder isn't 20ft tall so he could have easily caught FRESHMEN Adam Guinns home run to take the lead! So if you get that Brentwood is the better ball team any where in this statement you need to go play soccer!! If Brentwood is so good they would know how to make routine plays instead of making routine excuses.

I was at all the AC and Loudon games last year and i don't remeber anyone crying for either team. I remember 3 great baseball games. Except for all the stupid fans yelling at everybody and that goes for both sides. They players for both teams look forward to playing each other because its a great challenge its the fans and parents that get this rivalry more than it really is.. I expect two really close ball games this year..

So who does Seymour start on the hill tomorrow night against AC??

I think if clinton can keep errors to a minimum then they might have a shot. It is baseball and any team can win on any givein day. Just don't be intemidated by the big bad Farragut and you will be alright. Farragut has not impressed me much at all this year.. So Dragons you have nothing to lose so go after them hard!!
