1. i will be shocked if Franklin Martin or Devin Cleaves from MUS doesn't receive any post season recognition. Frank got straight-up snubbed last year in the all-state after receiving HM after his freshman year. Look for him to have a big year. As for Devin, all he does is make plays. He is slippery and will break your ankles. Boom.

Wait. Pattystew5??? As in, Patrick Stewart? He was number 5 at MUS last year. That kid was an All-American!!! Dam he was good! I heard he benches 230 and squats the world... And shaves his legs...

  2. This is just how I have it figured up, but it is probably not accurate: McCallie is locked at number 1. CBHS has a shot at 2 if they beat Brentwood, but its not looking good. If Baylor beats MBA then they will take 3, and CBHS will take 4. MUS will be 5 and Ryan will be 6.

  3. i heard in the houstian vs. dublin coffman (OH) game, houstain apparently spent 16 minutes and 30 seconds in the penalty box. does anybody know what the game was like?

  4. why does everyone ask where im at?? I dont stay on the comp. 24/7.. Im not trying to make excuses but, once again, the TSSAA refs screwed us, when we were down at the one, Ryan White jumps over the o-line/MUS D-Line and he didnt get in??? Is it possible to jump over a pile of people while on the one and not not one inch of the ball gets in the endzone??......And on another play one of MUS's receivers pushes Tremayne Townsend out the way and catches the pass for a TD...and thats not pass interference...But it was a good win by MUS, they capitalized on our mistakes, they came to play and we didnt

although MUS shut out both of us, I think either MBA or BA will knock MUS out the playoffs..People say thats the best team they've had, I personally think last years team was better...

Well we are all impressed, you were actually at the game and could maybe be on the team.

Now, use your head, if the refs were that big a deal, do you think that there might be someone else besides you complaining about them?

  5. I'm not sure what's more impressive this year - MUS's defense (3 shutouts, 2 TDs allowed in 6 games), or the way the Owls have retooled on offense after losing some great skill players from 2004. Nevertheless, Brentwood Academy is going to have to make the most of their scoring opportunities to win this game. Tyree Ford may need to break a long one or two, and that's a tough task against a MUS defense which is stellar against the run.

If MUS wins this one, and wins decisively (2 TDs+), they may need to start getting some consideration for mythical best in state honors through midyear. Granted, their offensive stats may not be as impressive on paper as Riverdale's, and their non-conference schedule is not a blockbuster one, but they are just a solid team right now that would require pretty much a mistake-free effort against to beat.

I dont want go get into the whole line of apparent arrogance here, but here is an addition to what rollredroll said about the MUS defense: of the 19 points it has allowed all season, 9 of them were against the second and third teams.

  6. I think they have a good shot if they will catch the ball. They have a great

D, and D wins championships. I've been watching MUS ball for 15 years and

and it has always started with QB's and last years and this years are winners

and they need to turn this kid loose and their offense will go, if they don't

then it's there own fault. They've got a good chance but they need to score

on offense play to his strenghts, roll him out throw and mix it up. They

sound and look like depending on D, no need to they can use both.

He was alot better last year than any QB MUS played and would have started

for any of those teams ahead of their QB (example. MBA's QB was soph last

year he would have started for them,CBHS etc.) He diffinently has'nt reached

his potential and he's already the best around. No doubt his brother was

extremey poised and talented and it's a shame they only won one title with

him. I've been watching MUS football for more than 20 years and I'm telling

you this kid is a great one and a big time winner, some kids just have it.

Nothing against you, but is it 15 years or more than 20?

  7. Who is the best freshman in Tennessee?

In Division II, Watson George from MUS made the team as an 8th grader last year. This year as a freshman he made it to the state finals in doubles and defeated a senior from MBA in the team finals.
