Silverdale has 2 listed as batting over .700 and a couple more over .500. May be hard to stop in the sectional.

I have a feeling that some shady scorekeeping by mom and dad might have something to do with it.

6AAA doesn't look so good this morning.  Rhea and Cookeville both got taken to the wood shed.

It rained in Soddy Daisy this morning so the game is called off and SD automatically wins.

More lies!!!!!  The media didn't report any of that!!!!!!!  The fact is that YOU made it up.  The fact is the umpire assigner here in Chattanooga called Wes at 8:17 this morning and told him that the game was complete. 



 

I can assure you that the TSSAA was fine with continuing the game tonight provided that the hosting school deemed the field conditions were safe and suitable for play and both schools concurred on continuing the game where it left off.

As with all TSSAA softball games, games can be considered complete after 5 innings when anything happens beyond that point that could cause injury or adversely affect the play of the game.

 

That said, Soddy ultimately made the call on whether to continue or not based on their assessment and judgement of their field conditions that they reported to the TSSAA.

 

Just the facts, not questioning anyone's integrity. It's just that some of the media reports are misleading and making it sound like the TSSAA just called Soddy and declared it a complete game without consulting with anyone on the possibility of continuing or about the field conditions and the prospect of improving them.

 

Bottom line, from what I was also told today, these two teams looked to be evenly matched. I know Cookeville players and fans would've liked for this game to have been played to conclusion and the winner decided by a complete game on the field rather than a called complete game on the telephone. I suspect a few Soddy fans do too, and that most of them don't prefer winning this way vs. winning on the field.

 

Like someone else said, we'll never know how this particular game would've played out. All anyone can do is speculate. However, we can all hope that both of these teams advance on Friday so they can meet again next week in the Boro. Then we can all enjoy a competitive game between two good teams.

You must be on drugs!!!!!!!  The TSSAA called the SDHS AD before 9AM and informed him that the game was complete.  Those are the facts!!  We've heard all the stories about how Clifford ruled the TSSAA and the umps.  Now you are saying that Wes is doing the same thing.  Quit your crying.

Ending with runners on, before three outs is what is a surprise. After top of fifth or sixth was complete, that is understandable.

They never should have started the 7th to begin with. It was raining cavs and dogs at that point.

Soddy Daisy and Smyrna are playing tonight at 8:00 because of the rain and graduation.

Wow only on CoachT. First Jones doesnt "throw it straight". Secondly. We have played Coffee County alot in the last few years. Brianna pitched good all year. But this was definately the weakest Coffee County team ive seen. Three district losses when they had never had one in 6AAA. As far as Riverdale goes I wouldnt say the weakest Ive seen them but definately not up there normal strengths. I would say 5-5 the if they played 10 times. Either way both sides should be proud but probably not boastful.

Be careful what you say, you might ruffle somebodys feathers.

If they play 10 times we would win 9!!! Coach Terry has built a program that is going to be hard top deal with for years to come. This year was a team that should have made it all to State championship, but we had one bad inning....We will be backkkkkkk

CC might win 9 of them but they lost the one that counted the most.............enjoy next week at the house.
