Congratulations are in order to the TN FIREBIRDS 18U Gold ball team!!! The girls played in a field of 37 teams and won all of them but one and came back to beat the Nashville Xplosion in the losers bracket and beat the Birmingham Vipers twice to win the USFA World Series in Panama City Beach (and beat them by a 13-5 loss in a run rule) A team made up of Murfreesboro players with the exception of Chelsea Jones and Erica Duke of Tullahoma. (GO Cats) It was a great way to end the season!!!! All of the girls played really hard in the high heat and humidity and saw a lot of really great teams, several from Tn. but as far away as Oklahoma and Texas. Thanks also to Jeff Breeden, Scott Dorsett and all of the parents for all of your hard work this summer.

I think that Erica is an extremely friendly young lady and an excellent ball player. She puts her heart into the game whether she is playing it or coaching it and would never purposely try to harm a younger player. I am a FAN of the DUKE /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> You must have misread her words. I find it hard to believe that she would make fun of a younger player that she coached. If she is such a bad person, then why would she spend her free time at a tournament she was not obligated to go to? You obviously do not know the "real story." Erica works very hard to make the girls better ball players, and if you've ever seen her play then you would want your daughter to become just like her. She is more than deserving of MVP.

I think I have figured out what is going on with Mr Noitall.... or at least a good theroy. Hear me out.

 

The way I see it is Mr. Noitall is trying to pull of one of those OLD SCHOOL coaching tricks of long ago..... you know, talk bad or do something to your school, field, or field house and say it was done by one of your hated rivals. That way your team gets fired up, works harder, and hates your opponent and everybody thinks that rival is low class. Seen it happen many times before the big game or all the time so everybody hates the rival. By the way, nobody needs any new reason to hate Tullahoma

 

OKAY Mr Noitall..... what school / town are you really from???? Manchester? Columbia? Lincoln County? Been reading CoachT for a long time and haven't seen anyone from Tullahoma be soo hard on anyone else...... unless it is on one of their own coaches.

I am a parent from THS and not a single one of us feels the way that mrnoitall feels. All he/she is doing is adding pressure to our girls and it is negative pressure not positive. You don't see anyone from Tullahoma on here bragging about or putting down other coaches or teams. What has Tullahoma done to be hated??? Try to win a few ball games?? Our girls work VERY HARD!!!!! We are very PROUD of our coaches and players. I'm sure our girls and coaches want to win just like every other team!!!! District 8AAA has very competitve teams in it and each one wants to beat the other just as much. Good Luck and Play Ball!!!!

Great games girls!!!!(Both teams) Congrats to the Columbia Lady Lions in winning the District. Congrats also to Kayla Coles for winning MVP. Today was 20 innings of pure excitement for the Wildcat Fans. Way to come back and get 2nd Place Lady Cats. You all did a Great Job!!!! Keep up the great work!!! We believed in you /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> and knew you could do it.

AS YOU SAY, IT SHOULDN'T BE ABOUT AN AGE THING. GOOD IS JUST PLANE GOOD. IT SHOULD COUNT FOR SKILL AND TALENT. NOT AGE. THERE ARE SOME FRESHMEN JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN SOME SENIORS. AND YES, HOPEFULLY THEY WILL JUST GET BETTER AND BETTER. SOME SENIORS JUST PLAY BECAUSE THEY ARE SENIORS, WHETHER THERE IS A BETTER UNDERCLASSMEN OR NOT. A LOT HAS TO DO WITH POLITICS AND PARENTS TRYING TO INFLUENCE THE COACH. THE REAL GOAL IS TO LOOK AT THE GIRL AND NOTHING ELSE. I SAY WE JUST PLAY OUR BEST AND HAVE FUN!

I WAS AT THE GAME WHERE THE GIRL WAS THROWN OUT. SHE HAD A BAD ATTITUDE TOWARD HER TEAM PLAYERS AND THE UMPS THE WHOLE GAME. THINGS JUST DIDN'T GO HER WAY AND SHE DIDN'T LIKE IT. A GIRL ON THE JV TEAM HAD GOTTEN A WARNING AT THE PLATE FROM THE UMP FOR SAYING THE F- WORD WHILE BATTING. IT'S ALL UN-CALLED FOR AND NOT A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR THE REST OF THE PLAYERS. BUT APPARENTLY THE WHOLE TEAM WAS GOING TO BE PUNISHED FOR A FEW GIRLS MISTAKES. GOOD FOR THE COACH!!
