I agree, they have "potential" but don't see it happening. This team has a recent history of solidly beating the teams they "should beat" and losing to the others.

Who said you said anything about Mercer or Cane. I pulled for LC all my life...except for last year in 1 game.I have not said a word of who would win this year. I felt LC had the upper hand. I feel like you still have a bad taste in your mouth as to last years game. Sorry but that was the 1 game my kid had a good night and got a win over his dads old team. It will be a memory that me and him will never forget. I know several kids on LC team and even shook Lucas hand at half I love that kid. Heck of a first half for Lucas. I will still pull for PC I have several kids on that team too. I pull for who ever I want. All that being said I went to Walmart not the fair ...it was 42 to 0. Let me put this as nice as I can. 1st I posted something and you quoted me by saying something and 2 players that I never have talked about on here. You looked comfortable on the visitors side, if you like staying that way then watch your mouth.

If LC would have been on schedule 2 years ago PC would have won no doubt in my mind but we went on made it deep in the playoffs. Mercer would have showed you how hard it is to catch him. I love my LC roots and ties Cane is much of a player and so is Mercer but they are different styles. It would be hard to pick one as better than the other. Cane could play LB on defense, Mercer has to play DB but is a shut down corner that can go 1 on 1. Cane is a QB on offense and looks to control the team but Mercer is a WR/RB. They both are great players with different tools!

Sorry but its not a rivalry when Perry County's only won once in the programs history. Kinda like Decatur County we're only Rivals in baseball, and basketball against y'all two. We aren't cocky you guys are trying to put words in our mouth to make us sound like we're saying we're the best team ever when actually it was LCPanthers who said everyone on Lewis County's team are "Studs".

OK it's not a rivalry then, so when a team win ONCE in the history would you call that a Fluke??? I believe so.

You may beat PC but that's a good group of kids. And they'll fight till the end. Big whoop you beat a smaller school hang your hat on that there and you'll enjoy watching the playoffs in someon else's stands. Go PC!

I wouldn't bring up the playoffs! PC will not be there for awhile.And I love how Its b/c LC is a bigger school we should win but if we lose oh crap Look out PC has the best program in the state. Its a rivalry b/c we live beside each other. Im sure both teams have good kids on them and they will play til the end.

Just wondering if this is the same Ground and Pound team that Lost to a 1A Perry county school earlier this season? I believe PC was doing the pounding

man you know ur fb. THAT WAS WEEK1!!!! and pc is one of the best team in 1A fb and fv game was wk2. fv is a great team and lc has made alot of improvments on both sides of the ball. but dont count your chickens b4 your eggs hatch, very hard to beat a team twice in one season, the way i see it ending up is lc wins 34-28....go panthers

I believe Perry County will win, despite the loss of an unbelieveable playmaker in Dray Mercer. However, they have some deep talent on both sides of the ball, they're line is MUCH improved with 2 boys from Henry County and 1 from Foley Alabama who I hear is a heck of a player.

 

On the other side, Lewis County too has some players. The focus of the thread seems to be Graham and Sparkman.. two tough linebackers, but Cody Bennett will have a greater impact than either of them in this game in my opinion.

 

Questions that remain: Can LC's Secondary contain the explosive offense of PC that we have seen the past 2 years?? LC does not have a Secondary player to match the Height advantage of Rhodes, which I understand Height isn't the only thing, but Austin Rice wore our the LC secondary last year.. Who wins the battle in the trenches? Sure PC has some new guys, but LCs line I'm not so familiar with, but the LBs ain't no joke, 3 tough ones, especially if Sparkman doesn't lose his composure.

 

I feel if PC can get a lead early they win 36-21, BUT If LC takes a lead, Coach Sharp will run his game and chew that clock, and run that ball up the middle and chew the clock and make PC make a stop, if thats the case, it could be a long night... I dont see that to happen with the Offense of PC. PC takes care of business 36-21

If the panthers chew the clock then how will pc's offence have the ball????? Can you please think about what you post b4 you do!!!

yeah but we scored 16 in the 3rd and 6 in the 4th and our offense was shakin the rust off and Forrest's defense wasnt bad and we didnt have our best 2 WR's on the field and yall will be sluggish and PC's fired up for this game because all LC does is run their mouth about how great they are and yet after 100 region championships yall cant get to Semi's??? thats pretty pathetic...and when PC finally has a good football team yall go runnin your mouth about how bad we are...we'll see on Friday if one of us is wrong..but i guarentee that PC will have a chip on their shoulder about what you guys are sayin and i know LC's looin over PC... might not wanna do that...

Good News Panther fans PC looked like crap tonight . LC coaches got to check us out tonight seen Coach Pace , coach Sharp, Benji, and few other guys. I hate that we looked like crap I dont know if it was our center or are QB but our PC footballs looked slippery. Coaches bout had me hot a few times when we were sucking ...... I will let all of you know I am a competor and I love my PC boys feel like I raised most of them and I have had their back from day one. If we play like we played tonight the blind school beats us by 3 tds and the Panthers would run the score up on bad. Hopefully next week at Forrest we look better. What ever scouting you guys done tonight didnt amout to a hill of beans. See you guys next week leave Benji at home though.Haha Benji just kidding you know your my boy but we jsut going to have to see it the 26th talk is cheap! Both sides been doing a lot of it!

i agree with you and benji. everyones talking smack b/c they want there team to win, and we all know it doesnt matter what we say, its how its played.
