This All-State team is a joke. I'll tell you that before it even comes out. A few years ago there was a local team that had a couple of players on the All-State team and I promise you they wouldn't have started for a lot of 2-AA teams in West Tennessee.. The field conditions were pretty good, there were a couple turnovers by each team. The Greenfield team did a good job of slowing down Jordan, I am happy my Tigers got the win . The Tigers defense though played much better than they have the previous couple of games, that I was glad to see. I can only remb Greenfield getting to the 20 yard line once in the game, there touchdown came very late in the game with a double handoff pass that caught the tigers off guard.

I think the Jackson Sun had him with 41 carries - 231 yards. If the stats are correct in the paper, that put him over 2,000.

I am looking for my tigers to bounce back and play much better this friday night. I am not only looking for the players to perform better but also looking for the coaching staff to perform better with play calling. I give Gleason congrats and credit this past friday night for there players out playing my tigers and there coaches out coaching my team. I am blaming this loss on a combination of things,,,,,,,,the tigers played flat and showed no emotion in this game, Gleason is better than expected and there guys played hard for 4 quarters, the tigers were coming off two huge emotional road wins and expected to get off the bus and the W be handed to them, and finally the coaches tried to trick gleason numerous times with bad timing on several play calls and everyone blew up in there face,,,,,started with first offense play of the game.....The tigers can move the ball offensively without jordan getting the ball every play BUT this only works when you get him going early in the game and into a rythm. The offense then can catch the defense off guard and work a few other things in. I know this team is much better than they showed friday night and HOPEFULLY get the train back on track before the playoffs arrive.

If Bruceton comes out fired up and plays their kind of football, as I believe they will. I think they win this game in convincing fashion.

 

If they get cute, like last week, and do things outside of their offense, like last week, who knows.

 

TIGERBENCHPRESS was correct, we came out flat and played flat, but it happens to every team somewhere during a season.

Even with all of this, they still should have won the ballgame in the last minute. The coaches must do better job of calling plays that allow Bruceton's team to do what they do best. Run the ball.

Jordan has three plays to get in. If he doesn't make it, nobody complains. We just didn't get it done.

 

That pass play close to the goal line has plagued us for the past four years and he still insists on throwing it.

You may be right, but I think TCA wins that region and Fayette takes second. I have Lake finishing third in the other region which would match them up against Fayette. Fayette is currently on a three game skid (granted against very good competition), but also only beat Halls by one point. Looking at common opponents, Lake was able to hang 30 on Bruceton in a losing effort last week, so that tells me they can score. I don't get to see any of the games in the west, so looking at scores and common opponents is all I have to go by. A first round victory by Lake County is not out of the question.

Lake may be the 4th seed. Union city has only lossed to McKenzie and Bruceton and they beat Lake Co. Lake Co. has lost to Union City and Bruceton. With McKenzie looking large. I dont see Lake co beating McKenzie but anything can happen. Greenfield has only lost to McKenzie.

Sounds good to me. Don't really know enough about 1 and 2 to give a good opinion on those regions. I totally agree with 3,4,5,6....I think Lake Co. may get a 1st round win in the last two, but that would be a guess also.

Lake co will not beat TCA or Fayette.

You can throw the A's out when good football teams play. In the mid 90's the Bruceton Tigers beat Jackson Northside two years in a row. USJ used to beat Hardin County during the same time period. Their are many more examples like Westview beating Henry Co. That is why you play the games. This will be a great game and with Camden getting Berry back that makes it more interesting. There are good Class A and Class AA teams that can defeat larger schools. It happens in college football as well. Was Boise State supposed to beat Oklahoma? What about App. St. beat Mich? A good football team is a good football team /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> . Take the A's out of it.

Remember: JCS solved the Marco riddle last year. They were a 2 seed.

He was a finalist last year with 2,100 yards. He he has 1,700 yards this year with 20 td's. The REBS did shut him down but thats the only team. His number warrant another finalist spot this year and his numbers may be better than Daily's. I have always thought a Mr. Football Back had a great deal to do with his offensive line. He is on pace to have 2,800 yards this year in 10 games. That should be enough to be a finalist again. We will have to see how the voters see this one. Both guys are special!!!

I think Patrick Willis from Bruceton Central ran a sub 4.4 at the Pro Day at Ole Miss. I heard it was electronically timed.

He weighs240 or so. He is FAST!!!

I think he is the only high school player to be nominated for Mr. Football for both awards. Back and Lineman.

As soon as they put hte stop watch on him and see how slow he is they will send him home. I'm telling you he does not have wat it takes. He won't get a full ride. I know he was a guest at the Ole Miss/Florida game. I also heard he was invited to their camp this summer.

What happened?

He is being recruited as a SS/WLB... Many view him as one of the hardest hitters in West TN.

I have a few questions about this statement.

1. If Bruceton has these great stars that are Division 1 prospects, why do they get shutout by Mckenzie 30-0.

2. If these athletes are in fact DI talented why have they not committed. When you are high profile recruit you know were you are going to committ, are there any offers, or is this just fanatical hype. Patrick wasnt hype, he knew all along he had offers.

3. Chad Clifton, Will Offenhusle, Justin Herald, Patrick Willis, Daniel Brooks, Ramone Foster, Jabahari Greer, Trey Teague, Franklin Payne all of these kids have went to the SEC/Big Ten/NFL around from the West TN area. I have no doubt these kids are great players, but realistically are they really DI material. Im just asking?

1.) PLAYED REALLY BAD. The game was 14-0 at half. The REBS scored on a screen when the Tiger defender just fell down. And the other was right after an interception. The REBS dominated the 2nd half. McKenzie has a good football team.

2.) They truly are Div. 1 guys. I heard the the Matlock kid was a recruit at the UT game this weekend. Jordan's video was the featured video a few weeks ago on Unapproved Website They are NOT hype. I heard they were guests at the OleMiss/Florida game.

3.) You are VERY misinformed. I heard the Willis kid was NOT heavily recruited because he played Single A football. I think these boys are in the same boat. Stay tuned!!!!
