  1. Who is on the Stars 15U team other than Jenkins, Dunn, and Joey Lee? I just dont know any of the players, their positions, size, etc.
  2. Both they and the Tigers have been together a while and it definitely shows. That chemistry is something that is huge in the summer.
  3. Memphis Bellevue War Eagles are clearly the best without question. The TN Tigers are the second best team. Past that, it is pretty much up for grabs.
  4. The Nashville Celtics team is actually the Tennessee Fire as of now.
  5. Travelers: Quinche Dowdell and then take your pick, Josh Gregory or Jordan Damron I guess Jags: Don Woods and KC Anuna or the other point guard, cant remember his name
  6. Best 2 players from 16U teams in my opinion, obviously the coaches can tell you the best. Some people will get on here and give you a list of several but I willwho keep it at two for arguments sake: Mid State Ballerz Elite: Scotty Hopson (KY), Tyshaun Edmonson (KY) Nashville Celtics: DeMario Williams (Culleoka), Raphael Gaskins (Glencliff) TN Thunder: Michael Macadoo, Marcus Jefferson
  7. Mid State Ballerz Elite are the best 16U team in the area followed by the Nashville Celtics. you can check out the complete list of rankings on www.unapproved website.com under the news section
  8. Yeah, I'd like some elaboration on this quote myself.
  9. It is a good organization and the guys did have a good weekend at King of the South.
  10. Wow. You are an angry dude. Very impressive. As I said before, you can go to Unapproved Website and read the articles about Jamie and Gerald and the interest they are getting. I know coaches were impressed b/c they told us personally they were impressed. Tennessee, FSU, AL, Penn St were ones who said they were impressed. Then we got calls from UVA, Missouri about those guys afterward. Is that good enough?
  11. Congrats to the Nashville Celtics 17U players for their hard work and great play over the weekend at the King of the South event and Lipscomb University. The Celtics won each game by double digits in route to the title. Great performances by Gerald Robinson (MLK), Jamie Graham (Whites Creek), Josh Slater (David Lipscomb), Codye Hatcher (Antioch) and GW Boon (Huntsville, AL). Gerald and Jamie were extremely impressive and really caught the eye of some some D-1 coaches that attended along the scout from Unapproved Website. There is an article about the the event on www.Unapproved Website. They did mess up the semi-final score win over the St. Louis Falcons in the article. That was an 16 point win instead of a 6 point win as they said. Anyway, congrats to all the players, they really played unselfishly and should have increased their stock quite a bit.
  12. Yeah, Robinson was absolutely mesmerizing over the weekend. Scored 25 points his first game out against Reebok Fox Valley Skillz. He is virtually unguardable. He had college coaches in the crowd shaking their heads time and time again. Also had a 2 handed follow up dunk which is pretty amazing being only about 5'11.
  13. Also should mention Jamie Graham and Josh Slater, both of whom had really good weekends at Real Deal. Slater is always underestimated by opponents but is a much better athlete than people think. He jumps very well and has long arms. He probably had 3-4 steals per game over the weekend and was very efficient on offense. Codye Hatcher also had a surprisingly good weekend. He played very hard and smart and, along with Lamont Harris, blocked everything in site.
  14. Yeah, Macadoo has a long way to go to be able to play the 3 spot but he is definitely extremely athletic. Needs to improve ballhandling and shooting first. Gai from Glencliff as Gomab mentioned is a bouncy kid, they call him Yo-Yo. He has only been playing 3 years so he will get better through time. You have to mention Raphael Gaskins with the Nashville Celtics from Glencliff Class 2008 in this conversation. He is a 6-4 205lb WF. He averaged 15ppg and over 7 rebs for Glencliff this past season and averaged between 14-15ppg, 8-10 rebs, and 3-4 blocks per game at the Real Deal on the Hill. He connected on 2 three pointers in all but 1 of the games played last weekend. Great kid as well. Another to watch is Judah Akers Class 2009 from Cookeville. 6'0 sharpshooter that was Cookeville HS sixth man. He has range from the parking lot and has grown about 3-4 inches since last summer. He plays baseball but will join the Celtics 16U team in May once he is finished. I also like Kevin Giltner from the Ballerz 16U Elite squad. Good all-around athlete with a nice perimeter stroke.
  15. Nashville Celtics and Mid State Ballerz Elite are the best two teams with a large amount of talent on both rosters. Arguably will be the best two AAU teams in the state this summer.
  16. Please send all player inquiries to nashvilleceltics@yahoo.com. Thanks.
  17. I think coaches can be objective in the rankings, especially since they dont exactly mean much except for debate. That beind said I'll somewhat rank the 17s and 16s here despite being an organizer of the Nashville Celtics organization. After a month I think they should be ranked again. Say starting May 1. 17s: Honestly, I think its a toss up at this point for spots 1-3 between Travelers, Nashville Celtics and Ballerz Elite. I think this will be one of the few years the best overall team wont come from Memphis. A lot of uncertainty as to who are on the Memphis Teams' rosters. M33Ballers have a good mix of 16s and 17s and I dont know who the Memphis Celtics have except I believe Culpepper. 16s: Ballerz Elite, YOMCA, Nashville Celtics, Memphis Warriors (if they still exist), Thunder, Travelers, Stallions I dont know what to expect from the YOMCA, great guard play, not much size. Jeremy Robinson is listed on the Team Indiana/IN Elite Roster so much depends on him.
  18. Yeah, I think the ACT weekend will end up hurting several of the teams. I think they tried to balance the schedule where the test would be over but if you have a bunch of guys from West TN like the Ballerz, then it would be more of an issue. Tha being said, pool A should come down the Ballerz and Celtics which is a late tip on Sat so most guys should be there. Should be fun to watch. I suspect a little ragtag being the first weekend for the Celtics guys to play together in a game situation but entertaining for those in the crowd for sure. Almost would rather watch in the crowd!
  19. Here are the 17U pools. Only 1 team from each pool advances. Pools arent exactly balanced well. A: Ballerz-Elite, Franklin Rage A, Celtics, Team TN B: TN Thunder, Black Knights, Lipscomb Rebels, AL Breds C: Franklin Rage B, Ballerz Select, Celtics 16s, Thunder (Blue) Pools D and E are school teams.
  20. Get everyone's thoughts on the Riverdale Classic. A lot of the best local teams are playing. Who will win? Also thoughts on players to watch. 17U: Some of the teams----Ballerz Elite and Select, Nashville Celtics (16s and 17s), TN Thunder (two teams), Franklin Rage (two teams) 16U: Nashville Stallions, Ballerz Elite and Select, TN Thunder, SE Elite (15s? not sure), TN Tigers
  21. Should be a good event, especially locally. Any predictions on winners in 15U to 17U? Gotta think Ballerz Elite is the perennial favorite in 17U until proven otherwise and probably also in the 16U division since they have assembled a very athletic squad.
  22. the 13U lost by 1 point to an Alabama team in the tourney portion. the Celtics 14U Won the Gallatin tourney
  23. Depends which team you are asking about. 16s/17s practice at Belmont University and the younger teams practice at different locales.
  24. He is a really good football player but he is also going to play AAU ball this spring and summer with the Nashville Celtics 17U team b/c he wants to compete against the best in the country. That being said, I think he will probably end up playing football in college over basketball.
  25. Just to inform those interested, we will be practicing this weekend and it will be one of our last couple practices before we hit the travel scene which culminates in Las Vegas in July.
