1. Oak Ridge has the best uniforms in my opinion both home and away.

Is it just me or does anyone else find a change in perception in the same exact uniform of a team at any level or any sport change when the success of the program is at the top or has fallen to the bottom of the pack? Interesting.

  2. Old whatever,

Choach Stevens treated the "former" coaches WAY BETTER than they deserved when he came in. Jack Armstrong never got his rocks off by humiliating players he did not like. Brucie pre destoned the futute of players he started hating in MIDDLE SCHOOL and that my friend is a total lack of class and character. I will never stop ranting about this.

    Simocleo,

I don't think I mentioned anyone being a joke in my post nor did I call anyone names. You have verified my point exactly. It's about class. If you are trying to insinuate that Bruce Lussier had less character than Jack Armstrong then your definition of character is not what webster considers. But besides your shortsided name calling, the point is that we have gotten our hats handed to us in the passing league and in spring skrimmages. I want to wait til about November and read you "supporters" posts regarding it being about charter and winning percentage is secondary.  The passing league is only a preview of the skrimmages that are approaching and we don't even have a firm coaching staff alligned. Is the class that Stevens has evident by the way he treated the old coaches when he arrived? Just what I thought.

  3. What about Bearden? So they've had a rough past few years ... but why does everyone overlook them? 3A football is a joke compared to 5A. Fulton needs to watch out for the Dogs in the jamboree. They could be a dark horse this year. With a new offensive coordinator and a new mentality they could make it back to the top.

    Who is the new OC?

  4. I respect your opinion, but getting a dose has nothing to do with my post. I am stating what I see and what I think. Opinion's are like #@$holes, everyone has one. ;)

We can agree on something G! enjoy your pizza.

  5. Willie....I have always enjoyed your positive posts. Always positive uplifting statements with the players first. Even though you moved 75south. TNBREAKER is a father of 3 great kids 2 of them positioned to make a huge impact for the Wildcats this year. It is extremely interesting to see his frustration in his posts now that he is getting a dose of what many of my friends had to swallow with Bruce and Ron. I would not wish that on anyone. I think you know the true story, Willie, of what Bruce and Ronnie did to certain former players they didn't like which fueled the uprising. I don't know of anyone who knows the truth of what happened that disagreed with our cause. I could take joy in the "what goes around" moment but I don't.

I don't think the past week has any bearing or preview of anything whatsoever. Oak Ridge has a reputation of stinking in the pre-season and having successful seasons to follow. Coach Stephens will have to learn on his own there is a huge difference in winning at Oak Ridge and winning at AE. You can't out athelete teams playing Oak Ridge. Back in the 70's Oak Ridge won 3 state championships with out superior atheletes. They won on superior technique, guts and pride.

I wish the best for all of the G's dad included.

    GO WILDCATS!

Is TNBREAKER a father of two importnat players? Gosh, I hope I am wrong on that becacuse his posts take the life out of a Wildcat fan.

Maybe I am stupid but I support Coach Stevens. Maybe I am stupid but I support the Wildcat players.

I have an idea...how about let outsiders run down the Oak Ridge Football Family on CoachT.com and Oak Ridge people voice their opinions face to face like friends?

  6. The best athletes do not make the best team! Decison making comes into play more times than not. The key is putting the best players in the best position to make the "Team" better. Thank God we do not play flag football during the regular season.

Are you saying they got the all-stater db mixed up in the qb line when he should be at the other end of the ball?

  8. You batted 500 ORcat!

1] The CATPACK nation has never said anything  negative about the GREAT WILDCAT program. WRONG

2]The CATPACK nation has run down 2 coaches who, thank all goodness, are gone this year. RIGHT!

I agree with CATPACK who represents many former players and boosters. I have been to several of their meetings and they have the players come first, community next, coaches last mentality. As the T-shirts say CATPACK stands for:

    Community

    Against

    The

    Poor

    Athletic

    Coaching of

    Kids

Great Post CATWATCH... It is only fair to the players at FRHS to understand what they are up against. Work harder than you ever have, take pride in your tradition at Father Ryan and remember, like at Oak Ridge you can win despite.....BL

  9. Bruce Lussier has forgotten more football than Jeff Minor will ever know.

    825698814

    Bruce better start to remember.

Don't believe what "bounder" says. He was just a smoocher.

1] The players love Jeff. The majority of the players did not like Bruce after he became a head coach again.

2] Jeff loves the players. Bruce loves himself and his little power trip being the decision maker who steps on the field on friday nights.

3] If you ever, EVER get on Bruce's spit list forget it. You will never get off of it. He knows Not how to forgive.

4] If you don't like kissing up......Pick another sport.

5] Sorry. that is what I meant. SORRY.

  10. Sneakypete nice post: High School baseball is about the kids/players it is a sad day when any team plays so well, against one of the best teams in the nation, upsetting them and getting the death penalty for a coaches fops. Indeed an error was made and the rule is a very important one. But does the penalty fit the crime? I don't feel it does. Their should be a punishment for the coach who broke the rule. The Oak Ridge players deserve another game whither they playback to the inning where the rule violation started or add a losers bracket game to give the players another opportunity they deserve.

    It's for the kids!

  11. There comes a time when you have to take the heat for doing a poor job of coaching and Coach Froning not only has admitted error but has taken blame for ending his own teams season. Any time I see a coach do the right thing I must salute this coach. Unlike Oak Ridge's former football coach who always blamed the players Coach Froning has shown character and should be admired for his stance on this matter.

This rule is to protect the pitchers from injury. Rules are rules. Halls has every right to protest but not an obligation. Does this show character for the Halls coach? You can answer that one yourself....If you get your butt kicked, in an upset, where it is obvious there was no intent regarding Oak Ridge to gain advantage where does character reveal itself? You lick your wounds and congradulate Oak Ridge and call it a season. Karma will reveal itself in Halls next few games.

    Great effort Oak Ridge Players!

  12. In the mid 70's Emory Hale made Oak Ridge players run up G road which is paved up the side of a mountain.

WE baled hay and castrate bulls. Not bad for city boys.

Winter work-outs were like Navy Seal training including boxing, wrestling, combat poles, wall climbing, stairs and sprints til you barf etc. We did so many up-downs some of us cracked our sternum....OUCH.

And yes we pushed cars and then sprinted to stay them. That part was on our own time.

  13. Scotty witt and the dragon wagon smashing o.r. in 1992.

    825647253

Ollie just for the record the "dragon wagon" "smashed" Oak Ridge by a whopping score of 6 to 0. Oak Ridge caught a touchdown pass late in the game which was MISSCALLED out of bounds. {I was 10 feet from the play] It was a great game and the best team won.

I can say I enjoyed Clinton's 1992 season...arguably their best team evr and followed them every play-off game including the state championship game against Gallatin. Which I think Clinton was the better team. Personally I don't think the rode their horse 'whitt' enough that game.

    Peace

  14. catpack why is it that your are so darn rude to coach gray. answer  me damnit :P
