I'm from maryville and we took i think it was 32 guys. i Know i saw some guys there from Halls and Seymour, and i was curious who else attended that i might not have seen...
some results from maryville:
Upcoming Sophomore Phillup Julin won the 9th/10th grade "competition" in which the top 10 qb's (chosen by the coaches of the camp) throw three patterns to various recievers who also made the competition. Alledgedly, this means Phillip could have been the best Frosh/Soph qb at the camp.
Other honorable mentions of the "competition"
Chris Jordan - Junior WR
Zane Winders- Junior QB
these two were two of very few other juniors in the 11th/12th competition. I believe they may have been the only two juniors out of the 20 guys in the upper division comp. Congrats and good luck
GO REBELS.

I saw Patrick Turner play in two games last year and was very unimpressed.
He can not run a 4.5 and only played have the offensive plays against CPA.
I am not saying that he is not a big strong good looking kid but don't but he is
playing against 1A and 2A teams that can't physically match up. Let them play the BGA's of the world where John Harlin-a 4.8 basketball player- shut Patrick down
completely. When the season ends teams will be looking at Turner as a tight end
and not as the best receiver in the state
-
Don't forget the two best receivers in Oak Ridge history:
Ronnie Nichols 83 career catches and never lost on
Blankenship Field!!! 1969 thru 1971
Emon Love Two year All-State and went on to be
a great receiver at Tennessee!
-
Maybe the best wide receiver out of Perry County is Franklin's Ryan Nichols
whose mother "Deana Graham Nichols" still holds the record for most points
by a girl basketball player "51". Ryan spent some of the summer at the
Buffalo River Country Club running the fairways to increase his speed.
(4.4 in the forty).

Brad Christiansen -- Free Safety from Franklin is the hardest hitter I saw
last year. Can't wait to see him as a Senior!!!
-
So what we have is:
Brian Kissel-- Obion Central--56 catches 13 TDs
Kevyn Murry-- Franklin-- 42 catches 12 TDs
Ryan Nichols-- Franklin-- 35 catches 7 TDs
Tyler Brown-- Jeff Co-- 27 catches 9 TDs
Tyler Gaskin-- Maryville-- need stats
What about other seniors to be?
-
Who do you think are the 5 best wide receivers in the state and prove it by providing their stats from their junior year!!
-
Ryan Nichols and Brad Christian from Franklin. Both had great junior years. Nichols was the leading receiver in region 6 5A until the playoffs.
Caught 35 passes for 8 TDs during season. Christiansen was the
region 6 5A most valuable defensive player and led the Mid-State
with 8 interceptions.
-
Lemmiwinkss, it doesn't really matter if nichols hasn't played in 2 years he is the fastest kid you will ever see on a soccer field. Lipman has no injuries or health problems he is one of the best players in the state.
-
Kevyn Murray and Ryan Nichols (both from Franklin)
will be the two best receivers in the Mid State
Murray with his size(6-4, 190) and
Nichols with his speed (4.38) will be the best
duo in the state. They caught more than 80 passes
for over 1500 yds and 20 TD's as JUNIORS !!!!
-
Who are the best receivers in 5A and what are their stats?
Franklin has two:
Kevyn Murray 42 catches 750yds 11 TDs 1 TD on Def
Ryan Nichols 35 catches 650yds 8 TDs
1 TD rushing

All of you people who think BA and MBA and all those D11 schools could play with Hilsboro, Maryville, Brentwood,Franklin, and Riverdale are crazy. Now I do see where u get it from, Ba did beat Brentwood in the first game of the season. But BA lost to 2 teams that were worse than Brentwood, Ba just got lucky on week zero if they played again Brentwood would blow them out of the water. MBA lost 4 games ya i said 4 there is no way they could be ranked that high or be that good.
1.Brentwood
2.Franklin
3.Maryville
4.Hillsboro
5.Germantown

Tim Johnson- Franklin High School
Took a 5-5 program to 11-2 in his first year as a head
coach. Takes Franklin to a Top 5 in the state in 5a!!!
-
Brad Christiansen for Franklin has 8

This is to FRAdad, the only reason they got such good scholarships is because they dominate their league. Now that they are in collage they are getting their butts handed to them because thewy haven't played at a high level of football. And most of those scholarships come from the athletes grades also and some players in 5A are good enough to play D1 college football but they just don't have the grades. You do have a point about BA but they recruit there players and they always have a dominate team but don't even talk about CPA.
-
One big difference in 1a and 5a schools is a 1a school has only about 3 or 4 good athletes on the team and in 5a there are about 15 or 16. So the competition level is a lot harder in 5a then 1a. Maybe the first place team in 1a could beat the last place team in 5a. A team like ezell wouldn't even make it to the playoffs in 5a.

The best WR duo in the state is Kevyn Murry and Ryan Nichols from Franklin. Franklin averages 40 points a game because of these two players. Josh Refugee has thrown for over 1,000 yards already this season and only 55 comp. Kevyn is 6'4 180 and Ryan is 6' 165. They both have great speed and the ability to make big plays.
-
Is BA 5-0, thats what I thouhgt. It looks like Cody Greens been showing up to me. And he does have the capability to be the best player in the state.
-
Franklin and brentwood is going to be a good game this year. Brentwood has a good group of athletes but i don't think they are as fast as franklin is this year. People thought blackman was going to be too fast for franklin but franklin ran circles around them. This will be a good game but I don't think brentwood will be able to keep up with franklin.

Franklin 45-14 over Columbia. Franklin had trouble stopping Colunbia's Fred Sparkman
but Josh Refugee was 10 for 12 in the first half. Ryan Nichols coming off ACL Surgery showed
everyone that his speed is back as he outran the Columbia defense for an 85 yd pass completion and the TD to put Franklin up 21-7. Nichols caught 4 for 109 yds in the first
half. The bend but not break defense was lead by free safety Brad Christian, linebacker
Cody Green and lineman Quintan Lane. They never ran out of gas and made all the right plays
all night long. Chase Crawford got his second interception of the year!
