  1. Sweetwater took this one and now they will make the trip to Alcoa. I was shocked that Loudon lost, I guess Hawkins couldn't carry the team all year. I never expected Alcoa to play Sweetwater so far in, but congrats to them for making it this far. Odds are, Alcoa rolls again, but Sweetwater has something to build on.

FOR YOUR INFO MR. WRESTLER...HAWKINS IS A GOOD PLAYER BUT HE DID NOT CARRY THE TEAM ALL YEAR. THE DECIDING FACTOR IN LAST NIGHTS GAME WAS THE FACT CAMPBELL WAS OUT EARLY WITH A INJURY....DO NOT SPEAK ABOUT THINGS YOU HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT...IF YOU THINK HAWKINS CARRIED THE TEAM I WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO BACK IT UP WITH STATS....HE DID PLAY A BIG PART THIS YEAR BUT NOTHING THAT ABSOLUTELY DOMINATING.

  2. His first JOB is to TEACH these students, second is Coach Football. None of the partisans are complaining about his classroom abilities.

well here is my two cents and thats is about all my opinion is worth....I am not a fan of Wartburg ( nothing against them , I just do not support that team) . I do not have any ties to Wartburge in any form. I did attend a game there this year and I sorta felt sorry for the team. the team looked pretty under tallented but with room and ability to grow. we went thru the same thing here a couple of years ago but the fans and players stuck it out and now we are in our second straight playoff season.....things will get better and from what I hear Coach Davis is a fine coach. It is just plain ole part of the game to have down season with some schools having more than others. football is just a stepping stone for a majority of these kids and I feel a coach should see to it that they have the best time possible while achieving the best performance they can. the rewards will come. As many of you all know filling a coaches position in most Tennessee schools is hard. I am sure your coaches salary is not much better than ours and ours stinks....and then when you change coaches he can not always bring his assistance because there has to be an opening in the school system for that coach to fill....please be patient....good things will come to WCHS...

  3. As a Loudon Redskin backer I will be the first to say that the CAK football team has respect from the Loudon team and fans.....not to say that we tremble at the mention of there name but we do respect the level of the program they have. as for this weeks game I am afraid of making a prediction. I understand CAK has been inconsistant on both sides of the ball just as has Loudon. tHE Redkins are battling some injuries that may be hard to overcome, we will just have to wait and see how the coaches adjust the players. If Campbell or Hawkins brings there "A" game I see a high scoring game. If both bring there "A" game then I see a definate victory for the Skins but this has yet to happen. This has been a very distracting week for the Skins so I hope there heads are screwed on straight. The winner of this will be the one who wants it the most...I think the tallent is pretty even.....Good luck Redskins and may this game be played in good sportsmanship and finish with no serious injuries.

Loudon looked good the first quarter and late in the fourth...CAK recievers need catching practice....

    FINAL

    Loudon - 28

    CAK - 7

  4. Just a few reasons why!!!!

    1. Discipline - GONE!! There is none.

Example - Players quit one day and back the next. ('03,'04)

    2. Practice - What's the old saying? "You will play the way you practice"

    3. 2 minute offense - With players still going in motion. HELLO!!!

    4. 4th down and 1 with two very good running backs.

    5. Why does Josh Hawkins just play offense? This is not UT, it is LHS!!!!

    6. And get rid of the bandanna's, it looks like the da-- Raiders!! OOps

Maybe thats why we are playing like them?

    7. Coaches, it's time you take your hand and reach around and pull your

own head out. Before we end up 5-5. And NO that's not OK!

I wish to Amen that brother......coaches with no control ='s a team out of control :thumb:

  5. Sor Loser= Loudon!

After the game the coach from Loudon shook Coach D. Davis' hand and turned around and didnt even congratulate the rest of the coaches. That is pathetic! No one cares though I just though I would mention that because that might be WHAT IS GOING ON in Loudon. It was a great game especially the ending of it seeing all of the Redskin fans walking out shaking their heads ha ha ha ha ha. Congratulations Polk County, and also GREAT CROWD by Polk. Way to get into the game!

I wanted to overlook this comment but I can't....we have some sore losers and we have some sour winners as does Polk County....our team took a butt stompin from Alcoa and came out with there heads up because Alcoa is a very tallented team with high quality atheletes. I will speak for myself only..I was upset over the Polk loss because I know we are a better team than what we displayed durring that game.our coaches or kids did not have there heads in the game. you all are big chested because after all these years of LOSING to Loudon you finally caught us with our pants down. Live it up because your loses are coming just like this past week and your playoff bid will be short lived...I am not poking fun just stating facts...good luck to the Polk County team because I think the boys deserve to win.

  6. Wow CoachLogan, soccer is a great sport for small children, women and communist. Now back to more important things like football. You say football is not CAK's sport, but how would you define that. Both teams are 4-2, 0-1 in regional play and over the past four seasons CAK is 24-17 going to the playoffs twice and the semifinals once, over the same four year span Loudon is 21-18 going to the playoffs once making it to the quarterfinals. So CAK may be newer to football, but I dont know how you say it isnt there sport.

If anything I would say with such a young program, that football is there sport. CAK excels at many athletic venues. But hey instead of making an opinion based statement, i backed it up with statistics so what do I know.

  7. Kingston last warm up before the brutal region games begin. and Loudon trying to get off the 2 game skid. Should be a good one

    Kingston 24

    Loudon 21

    GO JACKETS

I hear Kingston is really solid this year ....I have not seen them play but I understand they are pretty solid. on the other hand I have seen Loudon play and I must admit at times I have been a bit disapointed...IMO they are playing up to there potential....lack of team unity. I think if the engine fires on all cylinders it is Loudon by 6.....if they sputter then it will be another long nite.

  8. Rumor in loudon is that the Redskins may be changing their names to the Red Raiders or just Raiders.

this comes up everynow and then from a few thinking the name is offensive, but I hope its just rumor.

some is rumor and some is truth...in follow suite with the NCAA it is rumored that high schools with offensive or native american names may have to change...not sure where that will go so if it is true then we will no longer be the Loudon Redskins....talk is rsorting back to Loudons original name or its second name those are " THE TUSH HOGS " (1st name)or " THE HILTOPPERS" (2nd name)...both are unusual and funny.

  9. polk wins 17

    loudon 13......

does anyone have any info on how theses teams looked tonight........

Polk County did a great job of containing the Loudon offense.....appeared the team was ready to play....I am not sure what is going on in the ReDSKIN NATION but the coaches better get a handle on it or we have a long season remainder and a short post season if there is one....congratualtions Wildcats and I hope you take your region.

  10. The Wildcats will be fired up about this game trying to get redemption from last year. If that will happen or not, we'll see Friday at about 9:00 when the final horn sounds.

    Polk by 2!!!

    J. Maynard has a big game on the D-Line, Will Ledford has a big game running. Ta. Davis might get em another return, Ty. Davis 3 receptions 1 T.D.

Tyler Campbell has a huge game in the running game, Josh Hawkins makes some big plays on Defense!! Should be an exciting game!!! Both teams are highly ranked in their Qualifications and both have great talent and great coaches.

    Go Polk!

I agree with a majority of the posters on here......I do think it will be a good game. I would like to go on record to say that Loudon is NOT one demensional. and for anyone to say that has not looked into there game. I am not one to put much into streaks...Polk County has a good program as does Loudon. this is not a game of rivalry, it is merely a game for a win or loss. this is a long awiated home game for the Redskins and I think they have something to prove after last weeks pounding and the close one the week before. I for one do not know anything about Polks game plan or tallent but they are undefeated and that in itself deserves respect. lets have a good showing of tallent and sportsmanship and hope for an injury free contest. and not always does the better team win. so good luck to both teams and GO REDSKINS......and P.S. "DUDE" is so juvenile and is a good indicator of a non adult poster.

  11. Polk was embarassed last year in this game, what will happen last year??

Loudon by 10...I think alot of work will go into changes for the Redskins this week...DO NOT let the Alcoa / Loudon score fool you....Alcoa is a team not of this league and I do not say this in disrespect for Polk County but Alcoa has the capabilty of embarrassing most TSSAA teams including the wildcats. good luck to Polk County and the Redskins for a good clean game with no major injuries.

God Bless this Country, Our Soldiers and the lost souls

  12. I got a question.... Louden is among one of the top teams in AA, but they are stuck with argueably the #1 team in AA... Do Louden players and fans get frustrated because almost any other region in AA and they could be extremely dangerous, but Alcoa always seems to have their number?

Things run in cycles.....Alcoa is having there day....Loudon, CAK, Tyner along with any other 2-A team will have ther day also. 60's, 70's and 80's were great years for Loudon so don't feel sorry for us because we don't feel sorry for ourselves....everyone knows if you are a champion it does not matter who you are in a region with becuase either way you have to beat them all to get to game 15.

For Loudon it was all Hawkins. Literally. The kid is the real deal. They lined him up at quarterback in the shotgun , they lined him up at tailback in the I and they lined him up at halfback. He must have had thirty or forty touches. They were most successful snapping the ball to him and letting him do his own thing. He really broke a few ankles and had one long TD run where we saw his speed.

For Alcoa it was an offensive showcase. They did not have a single punt or turnover. Randall Cobb was outstanding. He hooked up with Sommers for two long TD tosses , One bomb to Lanxter , One to his tight end Rae Sykes and one to Darrell Tate after pulling the Mike Vick act and escaping a couple sack attempts. Tate showed his skill after making the catch. Shivvy had about three scores , one by way of a 78 yard ankle breaker of his own. The final score came by way of the second teamers with Cameron Battles tallying six. It should be a shootout next week against McCallie. The Tornado D needs to step it up.

I disagree with the part about Hawkins being the real deal.....I will be respectful and leave it at that.

  13. I highly doubt hes an Alcoa fan...Just let that me known before everyone once again starts jumping on Alcoa for being Classless!!

Every school has classless fans and I do mean every and it often makes the good ones look bad....now for the game Alcoa is a highly tallented team. Loudon needs to learn how to tackle. so hats off to Alcoa and Coach Rankin.

  14. Loudon will have to be effective in throwing the skin if they want to be in position to keep the game close late to have a chance to beat Alcoa. Loudon has not had much success in passing during their first three wins and most teams won't beat Alcoa by just running the ball. They also must not turnover the ball and give a team like Alcoa more chances to light up the score board. Alcoa's speed on defense won't allow yards off the ends and the middle will be too tough with Alcoa's LB's. I think Alcoa will tackle better this week after the loss to Fulton and are not used to being 1-2. Alcoa will soundly beat Loudon mainly because top to bottom they are a better prepared team and have the playmakers to score big points on a weaker opponent like Loudon. Alcoa by 21

Dang folks.....please show a little neighborly respect..lol....I am hoping to see a game like in the 05 play-offs but I am not sure it will happen. Loudons speed has disapointed me at times this year but you never know when the horses will break free.....If Loudon wins this game it will be because they brought there A game and Alcoa takes them lightly or because of key mistakes and the God that likes football just happened to be a Loudon fan...but for real now I want to see a good game with no injuries played with class A sportsmanship. my prediction

Loudon 3 Alcoa 2...yes I said 3-2...I am sure that is as close a guess as anything else I might post....lol.

  15. what are your thoughts or predictions......In my opinion Loudon is not as strong as they were in 2005 but still a decent team.....I see Alcoa as be solid in most areas...I am a Loundon fan so I will not post a score for fear of having my feelings hurt. so lets hear some good views.

  16. well as you all may know Loudon did not roll in this game...actually they had to come from behind to even win it in the last few min. and a blocked LC field goal with just seconds on the clock helped Loudon pull this one off....now who really was the winner.....students from both schools collected a total of 86,000 lbs of food.....that is simply amazing. according to the Lenior City school board leaders who are cry babies this game will not continue. and it is just because of there arogance and fear of getting embarrassed by Loudon. anyway good luck to you all in getting another good money game...you will need it. sorry for the Harvest Food Bank. and good luck in 4 A...NOT

    GO BIG RED

  17. Loudon plays Lenior City in week three which is this Friday night. to everyones understanding this is the last game in an inner county rivalry that has been going on for more than 90 years. Loudon leads the series by a few games but it is by no means lopsided. This game will be played at Lenior City and I am sure a crowd will be on hand as it always is. I think it is a shame that this game has to end becuase LC's Atheletic director would rather see football as a flag sport and everyone giving group hugs after the game or because Lenior City'sSchool Superintendant made a not so accurate statement on a publicly broadcast shcool board meeting about this violence that ocurrs during these games. A person in his position should have his facts straight before making these type of statements. I don't blame LC for not wanting to play Loudon any more. losing to there own 4-A region is embarrassing enough. SO...I see the final game as being another loss for LC in a big way...Loudon 52......LC 7. GO BIG RED
